been to Duff Shelleys many times in the past. Not for many years since for good reason. The guy at the counter is a rip-off artist. Has the personality of a toad. Doesn't care at all about you, just what used parts he can sell you as new. This person at the counter may have changed by now, but this dude ran me off forever. Plenty of other places to do business with now. Don't need them. I do not recommend this place at all, can't believe they are still in business. read more

After rolling our Teryx 4, we were concerned that the extent of the damage might have essentially totaled the machine. But we took it in to Duff Shelley, where we had purchased it, and they did a thorough, part-by-part assessment of the work needed, along with the estimated cost (several thousand dollars). They used factory parts to replace all broken mechanical parts; fabricated and welded on a new gusset to reinforce the frame; and then cleaned up the machine well, too. Three of their mechanics consulted together on how to go about the work. We didn't have them replace strictly cosmetic parts that had a few nicks and scratches. Within about three weeks, they had completed the work. We are very, very pleased with the outcome. It runs well again, and it looks good, too. Final cost was within $200 of their initial estimate. We have a lot of confidence in their work and in how they treat customers. read more

Duff Shelley is a Utah county institution. If you need parts or service for anything with a small engine, this is the place. They are a family-run business, and it certainly looks and feels like it; it's a small shop run by people who really know their stuff because they've been doing it for, like... ever. My most recent visit was to replace a broken drive cable on my Toro push mower. For some reason, I didn't think of this place and instead drove all over town searching for a new cable. Everywhere I went, when I'd ask for a cable all I got were blank stares and/or mystified looks. I had nearly given up when I suddenly remembered Duff Shelley. Of course! When I walked in and presented my broken cable, the guy behind the counter took one quick look at it, saw some part number in print so tiny I hadn't even noticed it, and then he disappeared through the door into the back parts area. Ten seconds later, he emerged with a shiny new cable that was a perfect replacement for mine. I almost couldn't believe it. I am so sorry I had forgotten about you, Duff Shelley. I *promise* you'll be my first stop the next time I have a small engine need. read more

Duff's is the place to go if you're looking for anything small engine. These guys have everything! You get the mom-and-pop feel and service that the big box stores just can't match. We purchased a lawn mower back in 2003 and take it to Duff's to get a tune up and the blade sharpened every spring. Been eyeing a new Kawasaki motorcycle the last couple months, and the guys down at Duff Shelley's took the time to answer my questions and show me a few different options. They even sell electric bicycles which look pretty cool too. My neighbor bought a chainsaw from Duff's and gets it serviced there too. It's our first stop in Utah County, hands down. read more

I have been a motocross enthusiast for quite some time now, I've been to this Kawasaki store a few times, and my experiences have been awful, they try to sell you items for way more than they are worth, Kenda dirt bike tires that I have bought in the past run for $53-$63 dollars for my motorcycle, at Duff Shelly, they try to sell the same tire for $85 dollars. I've given this places chances before, the classic MX triangle stand runs for about $50 dollars here which is outrageous, I've had family members purchase items here that are very unsatisfied with the customer service, the employees can be very unprofessional, I choose to take a 45 minute drive to another Kawasaki dealer than a 5 minute drive to Duff Shelly, I'm actually very surprised this place is still in business.. read more

Late last year, I was driving my motorcycle from Orem to Salt Lake City when I got a flat. It was late, so I parked my bike at a gas station, called a relative and stayed at their house for the night. The next morning, I got up and called Duff's. They helped me put the bike on a trailer, transport it to their shop, gave me an honest price for a really good tire and sent me on my way. The owner was really nice and I felt as if he was really "Caring" for the customer and told me some stories about his business, how he started, up to now. It was a really cool/great customer experience. Other businesses should take heed in how they do business, especially those in the same industry. This is the FIRST review I have ever written... and don't know why I took so long to do this. I would highly recommend these guys over anyone in that area. I went to several other dealerships and did a lot of calling before finding Duff Shelley's. I loved the hometown, no pressure feel I got here. Unlike the other dealerships, right off the top they were about a hundred dollars cheaper, with no haggling, or games. I felt they were informative without over selling for our needs.
