    Bread with raspberry butter
    Paul M.

Powerhouse Eatery delivers a memorable dining experience with excellent food, warm service, and a cozy atmosphere -- the perfect stop after visiting the monastery just up the road. We started with the French onion soup, which was rich, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. They also brought out fresh warm bread with raspberry butter, a standout touch that was absolutely delicious. For entrées, the pulled pork sandwich was fantastic, and their burgers were equally impressive -- juicy, well‑seasoned, and cooked just right. The braised beef risotto is truly to die for, packed with deep flavor and perfectly creamy. The 1/2 rack BBQ ribs were excellent as well, tender and smoky, served with fresh French fries that rounded out the plate perfectly. Service was top‑notch. Our waitress checked on us multiple times, making sure we had everything we needed and creating a genuinely welcoming experience. Overall, Powerhouse Eatery is a great spot with consistently delicious food and outstanding service. I'll definitely be back.

Delicious meal at the Powerhouse with my fiance and a friend, to the tune of cocktails, apps, dinner and dessert. The restaurant was staged beautifully and decorated for a between-the-holidays meal, and even though it was packed there was only a low undertone of voices from the surrounding tables. Our waiter was fantastic and gave honest, informed suggestions that showed great menu knowledge. The cocktails were creative, well-balanced and refreshing; we tried the pomegranate cosmo, winter maple old fashioned, mistletoe mule, holiday margarita, and butterscotch espresso martini. The whipped ricotta and poached pear crostini really stood out and was an incredible way to begin the meal, but don't sleep on the bacon wrapped scallops. I could have eaten a bowl of that sweet corn puree and even though it's a party favorite, the smokey/sweet bacon/scallop combo was even more crisp/tender than most their kind. For entrees, we rattled off some Chilean sea bass (w/ citrus beurre Blanc), linguine and clams, and spicy chicken pappardelle, finishing with a few lunges at their Classic House Made, original 1989 recipe, Peanut Butter Pie. Normally my fiance and I split our entrees; unfortunately, I couldn't come up from the Sea Bass long enough to even offer her a bite. It was really a wonderful sauce, and a perfect amount to swirl around in the risotto. I was able to score the remainder of the clam linguine as leftovers, and even heated up in the microwave two days later it still qualified as a top three clam linguine dish I've ever had; buttery, lemony, garlicky goodness.

Service 10 of 10. Food 10 of 10. It was a ride but worth it. Go. The risotto was fab and the soups were perfect. We will ho back.

Devin provided excellent service. We love this restaurant. Great food and a cool atmosphere. We visited the PE on Sunday for an early dinner. We started with the meatballs. They were delicious but could have been a little hotter in temperature. I had the prime rib with green beans and fry's. The rib was cooked perfectly. Ended with the strawberry- rhubarb cobbler. If you are in the White Haven area, stop in for a delicious meal.

Positives: Great ambiance and an awesome drink menu. Negatives: my issue is that they need more wait staff. Our waiter was handling inside and outside tables. We were a party of 6 with a 7pm dinner reservation. We were ten min early, but were seated immediately. Drinks were ordered and came out after 20 minutes. We ordered appetizers which condidted of soups, wedge salads and oysters. It goes downhill from here. We were brought bread for the table at 7:45. Appetizers came out a little bit after that and they were very good. Entrees came out at 8:40 and we were one of the few customers left in the restaurant. I ordered a crab crowned filet mignon. Flavor was ok, but the food looked and tasted like it was sitting under a heat lamp. It was cold in the edges and warm in the center. Seasonal vegetables were green beans which were cold and I ordered a rice pilaf which appeared to be white rice with diced carrots. Not what I imagined for rice pilaf. I ate the steak, but not much else. Dessert was great. We had creme brulee. There seems to be a staffing issue as our waiter was all over the place. After finishing my drink and 2 glasses of water I sat empty until the food arrived at which point, the water was filled and I had to initiate to ask for a 2nd drink. I would give this place a 2nd chance but it's a 45 minute drive to gamble with a 2nd experience. But they definitely need to fix whatever staffing issue they had because that experience was not worth $200 a couple.

I ate here weeks ago & still think about these delicious crab cakes. Those potato's were INSANE. Also our waiter was very sweet and attentive. Beautiful establishment & very professional staff.

This is our third trip here and as always the food was wonderful! Our only issue was not prepared to spend almost two hours there and over an hour for our food. Our waiter was great! Upbeat and always on the move! It seemed he was the only waiter there so maybe that contributed to the pace. The food is totally worth the wait! We will always recommend and continue to come here!

Very dark road to the area but amazing interior. Waiters were nice and attentive but the food took close to an hour to come out. Love their bread and their specialty butter. Delicious and keeps you wanting more. The stuffed mushrooms were a great appetizer to start off. Great flavors. 5/5 The duck was a hit and miss. In general the cook was great. Needed more sauce but the not all the fat was rendered well so you ended up with a few super chewy pieces that becomes unpalatable. Considering how few pieces it's a shame. 2/5 Overall it was an ok experience. Might have had better luck with a different main.

The food was really good! I ordered the balsamic fig pork chop and it was delicious! Ordered it medium and it was nice and tender. The service was good. I loved the powerhouse ambiance with the brick walls and pipes hanging.

Is this place casual or fancy?

We were traveling so we were dressed casually and felt comfortable. You could easily dress up and enjoy that also. The food alone is worth dressing up for. I miss this place! Enjoy.

We had enough fried food and French fries on our vacation here and needed something real. We found this place here in Yelp and decided to give it a try. The gas station is permanently closed so pulling up to it I was a little nervous! Fortunately they have a neon sign that says open! It was a little late in the day and I was starving. Walked in and smelled the delicious aroma of Indian food! I ordered Goat biryani, chicken tikka masala, samosas, roti, naan, and rice. (Did I say I was starving?) it was about 20 minutes of a wait. The food was delicious.. so much so that we are tempted to order more on our way back home. My son loved it too. It's spicy in a good way. I got some medium and some hot. I highly recommend this place. I didn't see any issues with cleanliness.. there was someone cleaning as I was there and it looked very clean to me. The folks running the place were very nice. If you like Indian you should try it. The prices were within range of what I'm used to. About 15-18 dollars per order but it fed us for two days. They don't do American fare anymore (per an old post) which is probably a good thing. Focus on the good stuff. This will be our new regular spot when we come here.

This place is closed for renovations as of today, July 31. Call before coming because they're not…read moreopen.
