Called MJM Sunday afternoon, they called back Monday morning, and we had someone on Tuesday at noon. They sent Tim out, who was awesome. Came in, gave it 2 looks, said he had to go back and get some supplies, and came back and banged it out - whole thing took maybe an hour. I didn't really care too much about cost at that point because my son was home from the hospital so the nursery was out of commission for the first day he was home but it was super reasonable to get fixed. Like to the point where i should have just called them to hang it originally. Plus there's some peace of mind from having a pro do it. Will definitely call MJM if I need electrical work in the future.

As most of you already know by my question in the "Talk" section I have been having a problem with…read moresome outlets in my bedroom. Bottom line, I went through the phone book and ended up calling "Wire Electric". The initial conversation went well. I was advised that there was a dispatch fee of $49.00 and that the job price would be determined on site. I had to reschedule due to conflicts with my daughters' work schedule and it was not an issue even though it was last minute. Game day. Electrician calls and says he can be at my house within 30 minutes if that's Ok - he was scheduled for much later. He, Dave, shows up and had the problem figured out within about 30 minutes. Faulty breaker and some other electrical stuff that I can't comment on because I don't understand it. Bottom line. Total job cost me $267.00 including the dispatch fee. I was seriously having night sweats thinking about what this might cost. Excellent service, great price and I hate to say this but Dave was super good looking! He even held his composure when my grand-daughters asked him if he was their Dad!

The original price was $1000.00 more than any other estimate... when I pushed back on Mr Murphy…read moreabout this because I felt as though he was trying to take advantage of me, and explained the buyer of my property really wanted him because she found him here on Angie's list, he came down the 1000.00 immediately, like he had overcharged to begin with The work was completed and three weeks later my tenant moved out so I could close on the property, the utilities were to be left on as it was the winter, I inspected the property and all was fine. When I went back to the property 3 days later I found out the electric had been shut off! Which in turn shut off our boilers for heat, and it was 40* in the house! When I called the electric company to get it turned back on the told me Twin City hadn't had their work inspected from the town so we could not get it turned back on. I called the owner Mike Friday and Saturday with NO response, finally on Sunday when I left and irate voicemail he called back and came to the house and said it was an oversight by his office... instead of appropriately fixing the problem, he ILLEGALLY cut off the lock out tag from National Grid, and asked us to keep it quiet. We had over $5500.00 in damages that our insurance claim denied because the service had been turned off due to the negligence of Mike Murphy and his company. While we were doing repairs and working with our insurance, Mr Murphy claimed it was his error, asked our deductible so he could cover it and said if insurance denied our claim he would work it out with us. Once we let him rectify the illegal work he did and get the town inspection, we never heard from him again. Our attorney sent him a letter with the charges and he is now claiming WE were responsible for the inspection! I understand it was an oversight not to get the inspection done, but it was his responsibility and that caused major damage at our property! He is untruthful, unethical, and we will be moving forward with a lawsuit. I hope his conscious will kick in and he will rectify the situation!

For a recent project I had called ten different companies, four called me back, three gave me quotes, one quote was insanely expensive for a simple job. The other was very cheap, yet day by day, "oh, we got busy see you tomorrow." Ummmmm. No. I work. Twin City gave me an estimate, when they said they would.
