The most unprofessional company I have ever done business with! The "Bill of Rights" is nothing but show because they have done nothing but disrespect us without any repercussions. Two Saturdays in a row (March 19, and 26) they were supposed to install our last window (it broke when the other windows were installed) and they didn't even show up or call both times! Before that they came out Feb 12 with the wrong window! This is after the initial install where they dented our brand new washing machine standing on it to install the window. Also they let our cats out during the install, left the keys to our new door outside, they left our deep freezer unplugged spoiling a lot of food and we're still finding glass shards in our yard where our kids play! Every time we talk to someone it's never the same person but they have said "oh, this project". We were told there wasn't anything they could do to compensate us for all the bull but the install team would get "a talking to because it's not the first complaint." The initial install was Dec 14 and we have gotten no where with them. We chose them even though they were significantly more expensive then the other 4 quotes so we didn't have to deal with this! read more

Amazing team from start to finish. They worked with me the entire way despite issues that COVID America is causing for everyone. From planning to installation they kept excellent contact to answer any questions I had. In addition the product is amazing. Will be using them again to replace more windows in my home. read more

We had this company come do an estimate for a new roof. The guy doing the estimate stepped on an engineering truss in our attic and snapped it apart. He claimed the company would fix it, but I haven't heard from a soul. I called them yesterday and got the runaround, transferred to three different offices and told a boss would call me back, but haven't heard a thing. So disappointing... and we really needed a roof! read more

I can't believe the reviews about Power. My wife and I have nothing but stellar things to say. From the 1st moment we met the salesperson (Brandon Dunn) until the payment process, we were blown away at the customer service. The crews that did the work were on time, professional and efficient. The follow up was magnificent. Trust Power to do an excellent job. We had our siding replaced on the house starting April 1. 2019 and they completed the job 2 days later. read more

powers is a self glorified middle man. they do not, i repeat do not have their own installers. they subcontract just as home depot would a crew that installs for anyone looking to hire them. they may have preferred crews but they are not employees of powers. we had 13 windows installed, and we had been pitched a different frame than the ones that were installed. we could have got window world to do this job since the jump frames are the same things they use. powers has a agreement for pella to provide them glass and they use the same low end series as pella's low end models does but they are "exclusive to powers, which lets them "rename" the same low end frame and claim its better quality. we had issues with the install so we logged complaints prior to final payment, and we had to keep following up with them instead of them doing the due diligence to make sure they reached out to us. we will not have all of our issues resolved and we were only discounted $500 of $22 grand. pretty pathetic right!? the "vice president" {as if that's supposed to impress me} came out and he "stood-by" their so called quality product and essentially called my wife a liar. she got so upset she left and I had to finish the interview; and similarly I saw in another review here, I had to eventually usher him out since he wasn't willing to offer us a substantial resolution, and wasnt going to leave until I was convinced that their product was impressive; otherwise he would have kept telling me how we got a great product and how we got a good install and that the sale's is scripted so we "couldn't have been pitched another frame" well that is all bull$h8t!! Now we are stuck with the windows and are not happy with anything other than the pella glass, which was our root reason for going with them instead of Anderson and Window World. we were referred by a friend who got doors and thought "why not try them?", and at this point for the same quality of frames as W.W. but with a higher price I would easily go with window world since were not in some uppity neighborhood. My advice would be to choose a local window specialist, who is interested in the outcome of his work and the satisfaction of his customer, since his bottom dollar and reputation depends on it. These "large Companies" like to say, "we have all this business, and we get our products for a cheaper price because we buy in bulk" as if that means this cost savings measure is actually handed down to the customer, which is laughable!! This MIDDLE-MAN-Powers company, is nothing other than a - "jack of all trades-Master of NONE" - company that has cornered some bling elements and knows how to maximize their profit margin. Don't fall for their rhetoric everyone. Do yourself a favor and go with a LOCAL contractor who has great reviews. That guy will do you well and can obtain PELLA glass, And I bet he has a guarantee as well!!! These guys don't advertise and will tell you it's because word of mouth is the best sale; this is true, however be careful, because it one of the largest cost savings strategies as well. Unfortunately, we fell for the pitch, and take this review and put it in your pocket because our experience can be yours if you're not careful and smart. We were naive and like most homeowners, we didn't know better. Trust these folks like you trust a politician. They use cheap materials, and cheap labor to maximize their profit and minimize their expenses and involvement at your expense. read more

Need to train your salespeople not to continue to bother someone when they initially waive you off and then tell you through the window it's their child's nap time. No, I'm not going to "just step out to talk". How about don't be a jerk and perhaps ask if there might be a better time to stop by. Any slim chance that I might be interested has evaporated. read more

I've been approached twice by a representative of PHRG at Sam's Club and received a very comprehensive estimate each time. Finally decided to have them replace my roof. They are more expensive than most other companies but their 50 year non-prorated warrantee is a major plus for me as we may be selling in the next few years. I've done roofing before, so I know what is important. The project I had them do was a complete roofing replacement with decking, shingles, trim and gutters. The work would require three days to complete. Three teams did the work; roofing, trim and gutters. Their dedicated teams arrived when they said they would and went right to work. They don't mess around. Everyone had a job and they stayed engaged and working until the job was done. They were amazing to watch. It is February and yes, weather got in the way of two days. However work was rescheduled for when I and the crew were available. What would I change? Rescheduling protocols. PHRG is focused on getting the job done! They don't like to cancel or change the schedule unless they must. Consequently, they make the decision on the day instead of when they might make the decision up to two days in advance. Overall, I am very satisfied with the work done. read more

Don't purchase anything from @powerhrg .. I bought 18 new windows for 26k in 2020. Because my house built in 1984 was cold.. They do a great job presenting this outstanding product until you sign the dotted line. 2020 was one of the mildest winters in Northern VA.. So this winter, we got hit hard, and my house was freezing.. I called them in March of 2022 to ask someone to come out and explain why my house was so cold.. The first appointment was in June.. I wondered how you could tell how cold my house is in the summer. It does not make sense to me still.. Anyway, after waiting until June, they called and canceled and rescheduled for August 16th, the hottest month of the year, to test the coldness in my house.. August came, and they never showed ... I got a call in mid-September saying sorry; we didn't show up last month.. In October 2022 no technician or call back from a supervisor, which I have requested five times since March... Stay far away from this company.. They get you to get a loan through green sky so that they can treat you like trash.. They don't care if you don't pay because they already have their money in full... stay away. read more

They are very expensive.. Also they sell you on how they are the best and project manage everything from start to finish. Other than the initial salesmen, I saw a project manager 5 minutes on site. The rest of the time the guys could barley speak English. They Sub contract all of the labor. They will tell you that everyone works directly for them and they even give the subs magnets to put on their trucks. It's a bunch of salesmen running this operation from a office, except for the initial sales call. read more

Agreed to get an estimate appointment at 7:30 pm from these guys after one of their salespeople knocked, in spite of not planning to do any work for at least another year. I said it would have to be quick since I have a 7 yr old to feed, bathe and get to bed, and he assured me it would be quick and that they would call before coming. They never called or showed up, which is fine since I subsequently saw the numerous bad reviews complaining of 2 hr visits. Will not be using these guys--only gave 2 stars because their sales guy was decent. read more

Forget this business because they feel they own your time and life! They practically call you a liar and actually do to their field agents! I had to talk to a person by using his phone which I refused to touch to confirm the same info I had just given him! Then they call me at 8am -I sleep in late -on both my phones which woke me up so I did my bike run and wasn't home til a little before ten when I had my appt scheduled. Because I didn't answer my phones they cancelled!!! I want my roof replaced which starts w that estimate. It's their loss and I'm livid for the way they treat a customer. After reading the overwhelming number of bad reviews on here, I am not surprised that my experience was terrible and thankful I dodged the bullet of hiring them for work. In my case, i had one of their guys come to my house to drum up some business. He was friendly so I set up an appointment with them for Saturday morning for an estimate on windows though I wasn't in the market currently. He asked me to be sure that I could be here as he wouldn't get paid if I canceled, but come 11am on Saturday--my day off--they were a no-show. I called the number he gave me to see if they were running late and left a message. Hour later, nothing. I texted the guy who came by asking what was up and again nothing. Never heard from them at all in spite of confirming the appointment on the phone with their main office. Unprofessional. If they care so little about potential customers I can only imagine how poorly they treat people once they have money in hand. Avoid at all costs. read more

Bullshit. Y'all are sexist and unprofessional. My mother was planning on getting a new roof for her home and possibly siding and windows in the future depending on service. She was told that she couldn't even get a quote without her husband present. Her husband could be present without her but she couldn't be present without him. The only possible explanation for this is sexist prejudices against women. Women know just as much as men. Women can make decisions. It's 2018, get your head out of the gutter. You have not only lost our business but the business of everyone we know. I will use my voice to shut down sexist companies like this one. The future is female whether you like it or not. Get with the program or go bankrupt. Ball is your court. read more

I was researching roofing one night and miraculously, they knocked on my door the next day and caught my wife. She set an appointment on a Friday evening at 6pm. This turned into a 2 hour sales pitch which could have gone longer if I didn't end it. The price was so out of wack that I laughed. They quoted me $25k-$35k for a new roof. Other estimates obtained have been $7k-$10k with all of the bells and whistles. Power Home Remodeling was a huge waste of our time. read more

We originally were introduced to this company two years ago and scheduled somebody to come out and do an estimate for our windows, needless to say it was way too long and we did not go with them. However, after visiting a festival we agreed for them to come out and provide an estimate for a front door replacement. WOW! The customer service has changed and the consultant they sent out was professional and to the point. Fat forward three months, the door installation was seamless and the crew was respectable. The best part was when the QA manager showed up, he found a few things that needed improved. We asked for some additional estimates and the price was better than what we were quoted from other companies. I will post more after the windows and gutter installation.... read more

I know I would have paid less and perhaps received a better product from Lowe's, but I don't know that I would be any happier. I was promised a good installation crew, to which I absolutely agree they did an amazing job. There were some concerns I had after everything was done, and still feel a bit oversold, but overall I am satisfied with the response and accommodations I was given. I can at least rest assured knowing that I will never have to spend another penny on my door and windows again so long as I live here, and that was a big selling point to me. read more

I utilized Power Home Remodeling to replace two entry doors, flashing and gutters. At the initial sales visit, I received thorough explanations of the work I'd be having done and all included warranties. If they knock on the door... hide under the sofa! I did not and I SORELY regret it. I agreed to schedule a time to meet someone for a quote (apparently my husband also had to be there) and the "quote" took no less than 3 hours. Maybe 4? It lasted through dinner, kids bedtime and til late. There was hard pressure to agree on the spot. This is my number one discomfort. They were reluctant to leave without an agreement. There have been a multitude of follow up calls. We blocked the number. Today they were on the porch again. There is NO WAY I would do business with any company so pushy. Gave a star because I had to. I purchased 3 doors from this company that were to be installed August of 2022. It's over 8 months later, I'm being charged for a project that has never been completed. At one point they had someone come to my house to repair a riser bar that wasn't working properly, they told me this was my problem and I would have to continually fix it. I've been promised phone calls that aren't returned, I've been promised solutions to my issues with the doors that haven't been fixed. 8 months after the start of this project I am still not getting responses or answers as to when it will be fixed. No employees have phone numbers for their supervisors and just keep giving you phone numbers to local offices. I have contacted the company headquarters in PA and have gotten the same run around at a corporate level. I would tell anyone who will listen to not do business with this company unless you love playing cat and mouse with $15,000 of your money! The customer service is horrendous and the employees just play along with the game. read more

I live down a rural, 1/4 mile private driveway. I found Power Home Rep in my backyard. House has a paved sidewalk from the drive to the front door, but Rep alleged he couldn't find the front door. Asked 3 times to leave before the Rep left the yard only to stop behind bushes partially down the drive. A 2nd male Rep walked and met him, they loitered in the driveway. I walked out, explained it was a private drive & they needed to leave or I would call 911. Told me they were waiting for 3rd person and refused to leave. Directed them to wait at the main road, not down my driveway. They state police gave them permission to be on private property. Walked back to house for phone, 3rd male Rep arrived in an unmarked minivan, told him they were on private property and needed to leave. 3rd Rep told me I was being "rude" for asking them to leave as they just wanted to give me an estimate, which prompted me to ask him for business card to be able to file a complaint with the company. Rep refused to give me a business card. I thought all 3 Reps had left as I was calling 911. But, while still outside, one of the Reps walked up toward me from behind. Told him 911 had been called and he finally left. Can't comment on actual work product or pricing. Actions of the employees would prohibit me from ever recommending the company. read more

I have used this company for three jobs on my house and from the sales meetings to completion of jobs I have seen nothing but outstanding customer service and work. When there was an issue after one job, the company was quick to get back out to me to fix it. Their follow up by their team to ensure customer satisfaction is on point and this is why I continue to go back to them for work. Not to mention the lifetime guarantee on quality products. I have no idea on the actual quality of their work. This review is just based on my initial interactions with Power. They may do fantastic work, I just don't know. Stopped by their booth at a local home improvement show. Booth guy asked me why I was there and I said that I need some exterior repairs/replacement on wood siding. He then offered to have someone come out and give me a free estimate on replacing the siding. I've have others come out and I know what the ballpark would be but he was insistent and I figured sure, let's see what it is. So as he filled out the form and used the phrase 'not to offend' at the start of EVERY question. This made me wonder. I then had to speak to someone on a cell phone (in a convention center so you can imagine how good that sound quality was) and repeat everything again. At this point, I was ready to walk away but I didn't. So fast forward 6 days, guy shows up at my house, did a fantastic job explaining who Power is, backstory, etc. Showed me areas on my exterior that I already knew needed attention but that he identified them was a plus. Did his measuring, etc. and then we sat down to talk about options. The presentation was good, very focused and interesting but just too much and too long. I liked the products presented, quality appears to be very high and the workmanship is quality. The company gives the impression that of being 100% focused on customer satisfaction and I have no evidence to the contrary but as I have not had them do any work for me, I can't attest to that. Now for real issue. I have a very large home, so I was expecting a high number and I wasn't disappointed. Again, there is a lot of sq ft so it is a big job. What really disturbed me was the massive difference between the 'good for one year' price and the 'today only' price. When you are giving someone a nearly 6 figure price for proposed work, expecting them to be able to commit to a price on the spot that is 25% lower than the 'yearly' raises a LOT of red flags. - Is Power really that interested in my business? - How can they do a job for 25% less if I commit that day, versus if I buy 6 months from now? - Does Power really expect someone to be able to commit alot of money without doing ANY due diligence or getting other opinions? - Putting pressure on the customer to make a decision on the spot? Is that really being a 'trusted advisor'? - Such a large job and all that is left behind is a single 'worksheet' with some rough numbers and a total? No descriptions of work to be performed, no part numbers, details, etc? So, maybe Power does great work, maybe they really are as good as they say they are but I have my doubts based on how they approached this initial sale. read more

For my first project Power did a great job installing my windows, They came to my house multiple of times with great customer service. MY Husband and I were contented with our windows and knowing that everything was done in person and not over the phone . A rep came to my house to make sure we were pleased with the service and offer us to add more windows. We weren't sure if we wanted to add more but at the end we did added few more windows. After weeks of signing the contract, I wanted to see if we could hold our installation date so, I called them and explain to them why I wanted to pause the installation date. They were so rude to me over the phone that I was in shock! I was so happy with their service and professionalism until, I call to request a rep to come out to my house. I spoke with a Rep Patt over the phone and he was so nasty to me, I asked him to please send a rep to my house, he gave me a date. I called to confirm the appointment I requested and he told me there was no appointment schedule and that whatever I need it to ask I can tell him and there are no options for me . When Power scheduled appointments in the past I always make sure I was home with my husband, I was always really respectful towards that company. I have a second rental property that I was looking into contracting Power but after this experience I will take my business elsewhere. I realize all they want is for you to sign the contract and then they treat you like trash. I will NOT recommend this company to my family/fiends or neighbors. So disappointed. read more

Like most I have read a guy that looked very professional came to the door saying that they were doing a job in the area and wanted to give me a free estimate for my roof. I know I needed one but had not stared getting quotes yet. I said yes and they wanted to know if they could come that night at 7pm. I said OK, they needed both myself and my wife there. We were both going to be here. The guy that came was super nice, very friendly and couldn't say enough about how much he loved working for Power! He walked around outside with me and then went up into my attic and inspected it thoroughly taking pictures etc. When he came down then the presentation started. A full PowerPoint presentation of their company, all of the patented air flow products that they developed and every service they provided. Now it's getting on 10pm and I still don't have a price for the roof in my hand! Finally the presentation was over and he gave me a price of $25,000. For a 3 bedroom rancher with an attached 1 car garage...1100 sq foot house mind you! Then, if I signed the paperwork right now and gave a down payment they would drop the price to $21,200. By then I was blown away. Then he told me that there were broken rafters, bad rafters and rotten wood all over. Mind you I am a mechanic but I have done a ton of home improvements and I couldn't believe that I had that many problems with the roof. Weeping rafters, rusted nails, bad flashing's... I looked at a few of the pictures he took and he showed me water laying on the top of insulation (I gave him a bottle of water when he got here being a good host), gaps between plywood that he said were in need of replacing, exterior moss growing on the outside that burrows into the wood destroying everything in it's reach etc. Now it's 10:30 and my wife is looking at me like "When this guy leaves I better be with him"! You know that look! She was mad and I was not happy about the 3 1/2 hour presentation! I told him I cannot make that happen. I can't afford it and now had a feeling that my house was going to cave in on itself! As the guy was walking out after hearing about their financing options etc. he said that if they were able to do the roof for $5000 would I do it. By then he could have said they would do it for free and I wouldn't accept! Long story coming to an end, I got three other estimates since they showed up at my door, one for $6700, one for $8400 and one for $9100. Just had the roof replace with 5 sheets of plywood replaced, NO broken rafters and over $15,000 savings! The only reason I gave Power 1 star was because the guy was very nice....and you can't give ZERO! All of the roofing contractors that gave me estimates (3) said that Power Home Remodeling are a bunch crooks and charging people that much money should be against the law!! Not sure how they grew so big, but I guess they target people that get scared, don't think they should get a second opinion and sign on the dotted line. Horrible!! Shameful!! read more

After reading through the reviews on-line (something I should have done before having them do a project for me), they all have a similar theme. Long winded sales people taking up too much time (4 hours for me) quoting ridiculously high prices for projects, and then using the old sales gag of "but if you sign now, we can give it to you at a price that is only 200% overpriced vs 400%. I can see where most of their huge profits go - into the sales force. One sale pays for the month. Unfortunately for me, I got taken by a sales guy who came by for a siding quote when he also brought up a topic that did peak my interest - thermal attic blankets. This was something that I had heard of from others and that it had great benefits in saving energy and keeping the living areas cooler. We had always had a hard time keeping the master bedroom cool in the summer, and a contact of mine had said that an attic blanket really does help. So when the Power home sales rep mentioned that they can do this, I signed up for this install without doing any due diligence on the company or their prices. Bad move - first they scheduled an install date and then last minute a scheduler called and said they could not do it tomorrow - some scheduling error. Should have been a first warning. When they did come, one guy flew through the job in about 2 hours with the other guy waiting in the van. The attic blanket appears to be installed correctly, but after a month have not really noticed any difference in our bedroom being any cooler. Plus being a numbers guy and having a rough estimate of the cost of the material and with a couple hours of labor, their markup over direct labor and material is around 600%! So a warning to those out there - if you have money to throw away - this is the company for you. Otherwise, any other reputable contractor could do this for much less. Just say no! read more

My husband and I used Power to replace our old roof, trim and gutters on our home and we were extremely pleased with the service we received. Special thanks to Nick and Forrest for getting our gutter and trim just right! The house looks 1000 times better!

I really wanted Yelp comments to be not true... because I like the actual product. The guy who came out to the house was nice and I was hopeful, and then the guy called to confirm the appointment and all these post came true. I had explained that I have a 1 yr old and no way my wife and I could both sit for an hour and listen to a sales pitch. My wife trust my judgement on these type of things and was fine with me doing it as long as I didn't pick a really bad color. However, they told me they wouldn't come out unless we both attended and I told them to go fly a kite then. Maybe it was a good thing that I got to avoid the 4 hr high pressure sales tactics. I've never used this contractor before, but my experience with them was great. I requested the install of a couple of windows, which turn out amazing. Thier window's quality and warranty was two of the things that peek my interest in the company. I have to thank the install team, who was on time, cover up my stuff, and clean up after themselves. Also, I have to thank the consultant that explain their products to me, since I didn't think my custom blinds would be a problem with their windows install, but he noticed them and pointed that out to me before checking to see if they would be able to fit back into place after the install was done. That definitely save me some hassle. read more
