We needed multiple new windows for the front and sides of the house. A neighbor had great reviews about Power HR when they had their roof done. When we were beginning our research and reviewing different companies, Power had an associate come by and leave information. My Mom recognized the name and looked into the company, talked with her neighbor again. She went ahead and requested a sales call. Her appointment with Charles Trumble was fantastic. She really enjoyed going over the new technology and techniques for home remodeling (She's been at this for near 40 years in one home). As the pandemic hit the Maryland area, Power HR was great in working with my Mom about rescheduling and keeping her up to date with the new timeline. As the county announced when we were starting Phase 2, Power HR & my Mom were able to cement a date that worked for all parties. The crew was amazing and professional. Prepped the interior rooms with plastic on the floor. Cleaned as they went. Power HR sends out a Quality Assurance Rep at the end of the install to double check the work and quality of the product; making sure everything is good to go before the crew leaves. The Rep also goes through the warranty information and a demonstration (if needed) for product installed. So for us, it was great to see how the new windows function without us trying to figure it out on our own. We were also able to delve into and discuss with our QA Rep, Adam, future projects that are on our list; and he was fully prepared to go through recommendations and build us a quote, and also show us a product demo (for exterior siding). Everyone has been super great and super professional! read more

Power Home Remodeling - New Window Install - Windows Installation Near Me - Silver Spring, Maryland

We just had our windows, front door and shutters replaced by Power Home Remodeling Group. Like other clients we also went through their financing program and had no issues. Their customer service was like blogger company that I have dealt with personally. They were very informative of their process which helped with a smooth remodeling. We've also just requested to have our basement Windows replaced because of the satisfaction of their work and the cleanliness. Definitely recommend Power and their services...our 1962 home will soon become a more energy efficient and weather friendly home. read more

We had 19 sets of new windows installed by power home remodeling. 12 windows have failed. We called on 11/7/19 to get them replaced. They said the windows would be installed on 03/12/20. They did not show up. We called again in June and asked for status. They said it was a supply chain problem. They finally replaced one bay window on 1/13/22 and the installer reported the other 11. Called them again on 05/19/22 they said there was no record of the 11/7/19 report of the defective windows. We haven't heard anything from them since. The next call is going to be to 7 news on your side or a lawyer. Do not, I repeat do not use this company for anything. Not even an estimate. read more

10/10 recommend. Rj was awesome doing our estimate demoed everything perfectly and went over all of our concerns. The team putting in the windows Joe and Jose were always respectful and very efficient and quick. Rich the quality assurance manager was so kind, professional and went over all of the warranty questions we had and made sure we knew everything we needed too. The company overall was constantly in contact and on time. The quality - perfection. I couldn't be happier and if you need any work done I'd recommend going with power home remodeling. read more

My family and I had an awesome experience with Power Home Remodeling. We had our siding redone and shutters replaced. A professional company with excellent customer service and better way to improve the life expansion of your home. read more

One of their selling points is that the price would not change once a contact is signed. After a price was agreed upon, they came to measure the two large windows to be replaced. The measuring technician told me that there would be an extra $1,100+ needed to frame the opening. This was the exact increase that they promised would not happen! Forget, I'll go with someone else. read more

They showed up at my door and pressured me into a "free estimate". He lied to me and said they had just worked in my neighbor's house (I'm friends with my neighbors so i knew this was a lie). We didn't really want it but figured it would be 20 minutes and then we could be done with it. The company called multiple times to confirm. The sales guy was actually parked outside my door for most of the day on the day in my estimate appointment. At one point he even showed up at our door to make sure we picked up the phone to confirm. So my husband is literally on the phone with them while two dudes are at our door making sure we take the call. It felt like borderline harassment. We finally called back to cancel and thank god we did because then we read multiple accounts of the people who got stuck in 3-5 hour "estimates" with them where the person wouldn't leave until they signed over priced contracts. read more

I usually send their minions away, uninterested in their offers of free quotes. But one day I was literally waiting for someone else to show up to provide a quote for new gutters & downspouts when a Power rep showed up. Another quote? No additional effort? Why not? I was dismayed, at the time, that the rep wasn't actually providing free estimates. He was just scheduling them. He couldn't give me an estimate right then and there, and it would probably be a couple days before someone else could come to my house. At the time I was miffed. But now that I've read so many horror stories about their sales tactics, I'm glad it didn't work out. I haven't seen any of their minions at my house for a while, which is good. They're all annoying. Reputable companies shouldn't send out salespeople like Power Home Remodeling does (or at least did). I will never do business with them. I will never invite any of their salespeople into my home. And I actively tell friends and coworkers (and anyone reading this) to avoid them. read more

Five years ago we had a front door installed by Power Home Remodeling. Less than five years later, the bottom of the door is cracked, the keypad that was brushed silver is now tarnished and it won't lock unless you pull the door handle, which then makes the handle loosen. Today the tech came out to look at my "warranteed" door. They said the crack was "incidental" so they won't replace it but will add a kick plate and replace the locking mechanism. Please don't waste your hard earned money on products and shoddy installation by this company! When the sales people come to your door, let them know that you've heard that they don't stand behind their products or warrantee. The worst part - they offered to replace it at a discount, as if i would ever work with this company again! read more

We used power home remodeling company to install new siding and windows on our home. There were parts of our siding/window project journey that were good but ultimately I am now here, after giving them multiple opportunities to make it right, to say DO NOT USE POWER for your exterior home projects. Our first interaction was with two wonderful admin ladies who stopped by our home as door-to-door solicitors. I typically hate these folks, but they were lovely and scheduled a sales person to come the following week. The sales person was a really nice person. The sales pitch is awful. If you ask no questions it will still take at least two hours. I begged to just pick my materials and get my quote but they insisted that they MUST do the entire presentation. The process of financing was fine. The installation process was good, the guys were friendly and worked long hours and weekends. I did have two issues, one was our front window which the workers were arguing about being installed incorrectly in Spanish. I speak Spanish, but never tell anyone just in case. So after they left I let my husband know and it was very wrong. He told the guys and they disagreed and the project manager was brought into it. Ultimately is was fixed. They also put siding over our air vent for our downstairs bathroom and never cut or replaced the vent. Which brings me to now. When I pay 50,000 dollars for work, I expect a follow up to discuss the job, go over finishing, and fix any issues. We waited 8 weeks, no one called. I called them and was told there is an entire department whose job it is to follow up. I finally had someone reach out and schedule my follow up. That day no one showed. I called to complain about the no-show-no-call and the gentleman was combative that he called us to say it was raining and he couldn't come. My husband and I both have iPhones and had no missed calls. Each time they have to schedule someone it's WEEKS/MONTHS before they can actually come. Then we got a new guy to come look, he checked everything out and said he'd get to work fixing the vent and some minor caulking/finishing stuff we needed fixed. Now this gentleman has been giving me a run around for WEEKS. I have texted him and worked with him via text several times and let him know that eventually I would wind up reaching a breaking point and leaving negative reviews. Here we are, after all this time, all these chances. My bathroom vent is still sealed up with siding. I will NEVER use power again. I will go out of my way to tell everyone I know to also not waste your money. Once the job is done, that's it, good luck! read more

Why the hell I didn't check Yelp before I agreed to a getting a free quote on a roof replacement is beyond me and is such a rookie mistake... Wasted two hours of our time and then tried to pressure us into signing a contract today or else our quote would go up by $3,000...professional companies provide you with quotes that are usually good for at least 30 days. Save yourselves some headaches and slam the door in their faces when they harass you to schedule the quote to begin with. If I ever catch this company in our neighborhood again, I will call the police on them. By the way- It is 9:15pm and the guy still won't leave. I wouldn't give one cent to this company. read more

I wish I could give ZERO stars!!!! I have never been so disgusted in the way things have been handled with my screen door from my brand new sliding glass door. They make appointments, they don't show up or when they do show up they show up with no parts to make the installation. The first time they showed up, they had the wrong door the second time they didn't have the track now we're probably onto the fifth or sixth time and they still don't have the track. I got the same excuse. Oh it's not our company it's Pella! They need to do better. I will definitely not recommend this company to anyone. EVER!! Hopefully this message reaches the CEO of the company... read more

I think the guys did a nice job on my new roof. They arrived earlier than expected, got to work, cleaned up. The only part that they missed was asking me to come outside to look at the final job, but I did check it out without them asking before they left. I would recommend this company to other family and friends. Thanks guys! read more

Everyone that we worked with was great. Very professional and straight forward. Mr Khalil helped us understand the whole process and insured that we were truly prepared to proceed with the purchase and answered all of our questions. Mr Ilie and his crew were very quick and on time. Alex ensured that we were well taken care of and answered all of our questions. Prices are a little high but in 2022 materials in all fields are expensive 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for service on their home. read more

Power Home Remodeling made our siding dreams come true. They restored our 1960s aluminum siding into a modern masterpiece. From day 1 the representative was helpful and informative and really sold us. Of course we prayed that the completion would match what we were sold and they sure did follow through. The siding and asbestos teams were efficient and thorough. I would recommend Power for any job I have they can do! read more

Do yourself a favor and if one of their people shows up at the door shut it in their face. Guy showed up within the past hour trying to sell us a siding estimate. He got someone on the phone to schedule and they insisted that both of us needed to be home to get the estimate done. Guy said they were giving quotes to all of our neighbors...which is complete BS, because two of our neighbors are contractors to begin with and probably would not even give them the time of day. Needless to say they asked for address and phone numbers, which was used to set up the estimate appointment. I only went through with setting it up, because I felt bad so the guy could get paid for setting up the appointment. I called and promptly cancelled the scheduled estimate using the 888 number provided in the Yelp comments left by the business manager from the company. Fortunately, I was able to talk to a gentleman who seemed to know what he was doing and did not give me any hard time whatsoever for cancelling the appointment. I also asked that he take our phone numbers out of their database, which he assured me he would do. I am hoping this is the last I hear from this company....because if not I will gladly take legal action. read more

Yet another one of the high pressure sales tactic contractors. They walk through the neighborhood and offer to show you a list of other homes that they have performed work for. Then they want to schedule an estimate, but for some reason request that both partners be present, no matter what. That was the first sign that something was off. Also calling into a call center to schedule the appointment was odd. I knew the whole routine going in, but though what the heck, maybe getting a quote wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. But after the 5th mention of my wife having to be present for the estimate, I decided to end the visit as quickly as possible. The sad part is I needed some roof work, but as soon as I googled Power's name, I knew it wouldn't be from this company. read more

Someone stopped by yesterday and talked to my husband. He then set up a free estimate today. Said they would call an hour ahead. NOT only did they not call but when my husband called, said they were closed. I came on here to check reviews and glad I did. If you use them to do work on your home, you will be more than happy with the service they provide. Very customer focused and the lifetime warranty is unbeatable in the industry--check like I did and you'll see. Look, I am in sales and I know what it takes to make a good sale(Cody and Marc were great!). These guys have that but they also back it up with great support and a great job when the work is done. You won't be disappointed. We got all our windows replaced and already see improvement in our electrical bills, even with the unusually cold weather trending lately. read more

1/2/22 update, Power has all of a sudden "forgotten" about us. Be prepared if you decide to use this company. We had our windows replaced a few years ago. 6 of the windows are failing with some kind of substance inside window panes. We called to get replacement windows and it took well over a year for them to come out and replace 2 of them and now we have to wait for however long it takes for them to come out again. Their excuse is it a manufacturer glitch in windows and they have to wait for new shipments to come in? Meanwhile 4 windows (3 are within our massive bay window) are in the front of our house, so people probably think our windows are filthy but it's the inside of the windows and we can get it off!! The windows are cheap and I can still feel the air coming through them. After doing research on other companies windows, we over paid with power and we got crappy windows. I guess you live and learn. Hopefully we get the rest of the replacement windows before the 2 we got so far (that took over a year) filth up on the inside again. read more

The sales people for this company are certainly friendly but they are very pushy and cannot take no for an answer. They interrupted my day at home (I did not reach out to them) and after a few minutes of polite conversation I told them the work they were proposing was not in our budget and we were not interested. They couldn't just leave it at that and kept pushing to give a free estimate. Finally I said fine just wanting them to leave me alone. They did not disclose that the estimate involves someone sitting down with you for a long presentation. I've had plenty of work done at my house before and I have never been made to sit through a sales pitch to get an estimate. Usually just someone swings by the house when they are already in the neighborhood then drops an estimate in our mailbox. This company is much more intrusive. When I told the estimator I only had a few minutes and was happy to answer any questions he had but then I needed to get on with my life he was frustrated that "he had driven an hour to our home for this meeting." Well maybe your representative shouldn't have lied and said you were already in the neighborhood and maybe they should have just taken me at my word that I wasn't interested in having work done on my house. And maybe they should have disclosed the time commitment for this estimate. As I said the representatives were all very nice and professional the company is clearly run by some very aggressive sales and business people though who put a lot of pressure on their folks to push services on people who don't want them. read more

They offered to come by to give me an estimate for window replacements. But they wouldn't set up an appointment without my husband present despite the fact that I am the sole owner of the house and I would be the one making the decision and paying for the windows. On the other hand they said they could make an appointment with just him without me present. Unbelievable that a company has such a sexist policy. They should really get with the times. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

We needed new doors and new siding. The crews showed up on time, worked until dark and completed the job a day early! The siding is insulated and I can already tell my heater isn't on as much. The project manager was in touch with me every day and was in constant contact with the crew. When they left, everything was left clean. Couldn't ask for better from start to finish. The lifetime warranty for us and the next owner (if we ever sell) was just the crowning achievement! read more

We sat through the longest 3 hour sales pitch and then received a ridiculously high estimate. But wait!! If we sign right this moment (so you don't have a chance to do research and find out they are massively over charging you and have a 2 1/2 star yelp review) they will give you a slightly less than ridiculous estimate. Then we get another call telling us they can get us a lower price - But they won't tell us the price over the phone. We have to set up another meeting/sales pitch with them. Please don't do business with companies that insist on you signing immediately to get a price. An honest company will give you a price good for 30 days or more so you can research, get references and make a good decision. Honest companies stay in business because people WANT to do business with them after they research the company and the estimate. Companies, like Power, need you to sign immediately so you don't find out you are overpaying and/or that their reviews are less than stellar. Any time someone pulls this kind of crap WALK AWAY! Looking back you will be very happy you don't have some expensive, subpar windows, stolen goods or a timeshare! read more

If the company can't even make their appointments to sell the pitch, I don't have confidence in them keeping their word and putting a new roof on the house. They did the normal, we'll be in your neighboorhood pitch. I scheduled an appointment for a time I had carved out specifically to be home-- told the person who was scheduling the appointment that I didn't want to be "no showed" by their rep. Day of they were supposed to call 15-30 minutes before the appointment to be sure someone would be home. The company never called. I had to call them at our scheduled time, waited on hold for 5 minutes and then the person who picked up said THEY WERE CALLING ME! wait what, you are calling me? I just had to call you because your person isn't showing up. They then insisted that they had tried multiple times that morning to call me (weird because they confirmed my number) but my phone never rang or had any missed calls from them. read more

The first day the sales person (Alex Maldonado Jr) came to my house for the sales pitch, he was pointing the flash light all over the place in the evening while showing us the roof and someone from the neighborhood called the cops. We were standing outside and we were high beamed by the police because of this idiot salesman. It was a pretty tense situation for a good minute. When powerhrg initially called me to set up an appointment, I even told them it will be dark, how will we see the roof? He said no worries, our sales agents are equipped. Yeah equipped to start pointing flashlights all over the neighborhood. Should have known right there to say no to this company. I should have declined when I asked the salesman how many roofing jobs they have done in my city. He showed me a picture of jobs all over done by powerhrg but when I asked him about the roof he was only able to show me a couple of places near me. You would think a company which has so many door to door salesmen would have gotten more roofing jobs. I was a sucker even though I had so many doubts about this company. But that night, we signed the contract because that price was only valid that day. What a sucker I was. A few weeks later they delivered the materials in my driveway. It was supposed to be behind the gate but they never called us or let us know when they delivered the materials. When they called me to schedule initially, I specifically told them about the weather and it would not be possible for them to do because it was too cold and frigid. They said that is fine and they will have no issues. So on the day of the installation, I get a call saying it's too cold and they won't be able to come install the roof. No issues. Installation rescheduled. Materials still in my driveway. We are forced to park on the street. A week later, a power agent called and left a message on my phone, that due to the weather conditions, they won't be able to do the roof today. Well I checked and no missed call or message and they told me that the crew came to my house and knocked on the door. Well we were right there and we usually notice even if someone is walking outside but we didn't hear any knocking or doorbell. So now they are lying. At this point I'm livid and trying to cancel my contract. One of the managers says if I want to get out of the contract, I would have to pay $4700 + the few more days the materials are on my driveway until they pick it up. Oh and I also would have to pay the money to the initial salesperson who did a sales pitch at my house for a few hours. Just awful. Oh did I mention, it snowed about 20 inches a few days before this time and my whole driveway was covered in snow. The manager said and I quote, we work 365 days a year. Do you really think we can't shovel the snow and start working? LOL So installation rescheduled again for a week later. So on the day of installation, a quality agent called me and told me that the crew was on their way and asked me if me and my wife were home and he would come by later and talk to us. Another agent calls me literally 10 minutes later and tells me the crew was on their way but the truck broke down and it would take hours to fix and they won't be able to come today. When I tell this agent I'm taking days off, she goes oh we don't require the homeowner to be home during this time. But literally the quality agent called and asked me if we were home. This just gets more hilarious. Finally, after a few weeks(about a month+ since they left materials on my driveway and blocked it), they came(about 10 people, quite a few looked underaged) and did the installation. It wasn't easy dealing with these folks. I had neighbors come and complain to me that these workers were throwing the old shingles all over the place. They did an ok job with the roof. Damaged a few things on the property but it wasn't a big deal. However, on one side of the attic, I saw so many old shingles just shoved down in my attic as if we would never notice it. That was very bad. It took me an hour to clean up their mess and some of it is still there. Highly unprofessional. However, fast forward a few months, and somehow a small bird got into the attic and through to my bedroom. I called Powerhrg and they sent a roofer to my house. The roofer does a quick inspection outside and checks a few shingles here and there and tells me it was a freak accident. They pointed to some obscure small hole in the fascia which was pretty far away from where the bird may have come in and told me the bird must have come from there. He leaves and a few days later another bird gets into my attic. I called Powerhrg back and they flat out refused to come. They are not accountable for the work they do. As if small birds weren't enough, now I have squirrels nesting on the roofs as well. I have pictures of before and after the roof was done so the gaps that weren't visible before are clearly big visible gaps after the roof was redone. -10000 STARS read more

I Do NOT recommend Power Home Remodeling. Purchased 20 windows and spent over 16k. 5 of them were installed with scratches and needed to be replaced. Months later, 2 other windows were not installed properly and needed 3 visits and 6 months to address. Years later mold grew inside one of the windows and when I called for service, the untrained woman was nasty. I called to complain to her supervisor and did not get a call back. Instead, the soonest they would come and replace their faulty window was in 3 months. Guess that was my punishment for complaining. I am stuck, but you should definitely go elsewhere! read more

The only thing good I can say about Power is their sales team. The sale guys talk a HUGE game. Tell you everything you want to hear about how customer service is their #1 priority but if you call with an issue you will get the run around and no results. I recently had power do new siding to my house after an inspection found that the old siding was leaking. I should have ran when they said the price but stupid me thought if I was paying that kind of money I was going to be getting my moneys worth. WRONG. Not only do they charge almost triple what most other contractors do for the same job but then they act like they are clueless when you point out issues. The inspection of the job by the "foreman" was a two second walk around followed by ok let's settle up the bill. I have spent hours on the phone with their customer service team trying to get someone to come address their overlooking with no results. DO NOT RECOMMEND read more
