Overall, a very good experience. My wife and I had discussed the need for a new roof. One day I was out mowing my lawn and was approached by a rep who told me they were doing work in the area. He wanted to know if we wanted a free quote on their services. I told him I would like a quote on our roof. He called his office and I was asked to select a date for a salesman to come out to our house for a free estimate on our roof. The salesman, Nick, came out on the selected date. It was evening, and yes, the visit did take time. It didn't bother me or my wife. He began by inspecting our attic (he pointed out had no ventilation - which was correct) then our roof (was aging and the shingles were suffering from the lack of attic ventillation). After that, he sat down and told us about the company and the roofs they install. I realized he was being thorough because eventually if I was serious about replacing my roof, he was only answering questions I was eventually going to ask. My background is in architecture, so I was waiting to hear if he was going to try and slip me a little lie to get me to buy. The longer Nick talked, the more it was clear that he knew what he was selling and why he was selling. He answered our questions and we never felt pressured to buy. Nick was pleasant, not because he wanted a sale or commission, but because that is who he is (it doesn't take long to know when sales reps are being nice for the wrong reasons; this was NOT Nick) We then proceeded to talk about cost. Yes, compared to other roofing companies, the price he quoted was higher. However, the gains in quality of roofing materials and ventilation system were also much better than other roofing companies. After 4 hours, which went quick, due to Nick's patience and thoroughness we agreed to have a new roof on our home. Not once did Nick lose his patience with us. He even offered to go wait in his car while my wife and I made our financial decision. We felt comfortable making our decision with him in our home. After signing papers, the company delivered on all of its promises. We received calls reminding us of appointments and when the day of the installation arrived, we received another call letting us know the crew would arrive after the morning rain ended. Total time to take down the old roofing materials and install the new was about 7 hours. They cleaned-up and left the outside of my house in the same condition they found it when they had arrived. Our neighbor, who is a former roof installer, told us that he was keeping an eye on the installation and was impressed with Power's materials and labor. He said the shingles were just for show because the underlayment would keep our house dry for years to come. We just had a quality inspection with Gil. He was only coming to check if we were satisfied. He took notes and wanted us to be critical, which we were. As he was preparing to leave, my wife and I ask about replacing our front door. He was not going to sell us on any more services, but was willing to spend time answering our questions. We were truly satisfied with Power's service and respect of our home remodeling needs. At no time did we feel pressured to buy. Gil was kind enough to work with us and amend our original roof contract to now include additional work. He worked with Power's lending companies to make the monthly payments acceptable for our family's budget. The money we will save on utility bills will go towards offsetting the monthly renovation bill and we will be money ahead. As Nick and Gil mentioned, we as homeowners don't like to spend money on our houses where we will not see an aesthetic return on investment. I've worked on architectural projects where millions go into infrastructure before parking or play areas can be constructed. Yes, I did spend more than I would if I had gone with a short-term fix. Our goal was to invest in the future of our home. I will not have to touch my roof or worry about repairs for the next 50 years. That's peace of mind. Should I decide to sell, the warranty will pass on to the next owner. That can only add to the resale value. It's good to have that option. Great people. Good experience. Good comapny. At first we were totally skeptical because our first interaction with the company was door to door. We have had awful luck with this type of sales so my husband and I had this huge pep talk before the two sales guys came to our house the following evening. So we researched as much as we could about the company as much as we could. Some reviews were not great but when I saw their Better Business Bureau rating we knew we had to give them a chance. When researching a company look at as many resources first then form an opinion. You also need to verify unbiased sources. The sales "meeting" the first night yes took some time but any professionally trained sales person will take up a bit of time. I personally feel that strangers in your own home always feel like their there longer then they really are. They were both extremely professional, were right to the point and showed enough interest in us a person that it didn't seem forced. They were not pushy and actually excused themselves from our hose a couple of times to give us time to talk alone. Sales experience was pleasurable and you just need to understand they want you as the consumer to be completely knowledgeable of the company and procedure so there are no surprises. So yes, that takes some time and us a consumer should be grateful they are doing that. The second visit was to measure again, give a time line of the install and to set the date for install. Again this guy was super professional and this was a super quick run through and he made sure I knew exactly what was going to happen next and how it was going to go. Nothing changed, no surprises, everything was still the same as discussed with the sales people. Day of install!! They called to say they were running early!!!! When does the EVER happen. Super awesome! I took the day off work to be home all day. We have a small ranch and we were having 5 windows replaced. The windows were in super quick and they then took their time trimming off and diminishing up each window. There were drop cloths down everywhere they would have walked in the house as well as outside. We had two workers and they both were very presentable and not sloppy messes. It took them a little over 5 hours which was what we had been told to expect. About half way through the instal a different representative came and walked me through the instal and demonstrated key features of my specific windows. They also checked in with how the installers were doing. At the end the foreman cam in with a small shop vac and cleaned up any mess he created. I did not have to clean up and mess created by the installers inside and out! The foreman several times walked me through the process and always kept me very well informed. The final visit was to make sure everything was to our satisfaction and to help with warranty activation and check for any final questions. At that time we went over the financing opinions again, and thank goodness because I honestly forgot how it was all going to work. Really great company, seriously. We will be returning customers without a doubt and I have need talking them up ever since the install. When it comes to your home you can not choose quick fixes. Quality work takes time and you as a consumer need to take the time to learn the product your investing in. All this talk of the sales pitch lasting too long is to me people who didn't actually get their windows replaced by Power. ThIs company is very transparent. Never once was I surprised with additional work or add on's that I didn't want. Without a doubt in my mind if you actually gave them a chance and had the work done, there is no way you would consider writing a bad review. 120% satisfied! read more

I am the second owner of my home and had to replace 42 year old windows that, for a lack of words, leaked. I saved and 3 years after purchasing my home I took the plunge into new windows. I ask a lot of questions and have a tendency to stop people in the middle of their talk to clarify so I understand. Through out the process I did this and not one person rolled their eyes at me or answered with attitude. I believe in telling it like it is and that is what I received from beginning to end with Power Home Remodeling Group. I set a install date according my work schedule. The windows & doors arrived early & when they called to move my date up, I had to decline. Not a problem & they came to install on the date I set up originally. While installing I noticed that the frames were being changed out but not the stuff closest to the actual windows. Again, everything was 42 years old & after discussing changing everything with the sales person and person that came out to make sure all the measurements were correct, I was upset. I called the project manager and asked about it. He spoke to the his right hand man on the project. All the old stuff was removed, no fuss or hassle to me. The project manager arrived 20 minutes after my call to ensure his instructions were being followed. He very graciously apologized for the miscommunication. He then went over how to care for & what products to use to clean the windows & doors. I had more questions and he answered them without frustration. I am a very picky & neat person. I was amazed at how clean the installers were. They allowed my protective father to watch over them as they worked without hesitation and answered his questions. They explained things to my inquisitive oldest son. I even asked the installers questions which they answered without frustration. They actually thanked my for removing all window dressing(blinds/curtins) and moving the beds out of the way to make for room for them to work. I was confused, because that was part of my job not theirs. They explained that very few people think to do that. My install was done early because I took care of what I needed to so they could get the install done on time. Their work was not rushed and they were precise in the placing the modling/frame work around the windows & doors. Family & friends stopped by immediately to see the finished project, all thumbs up. WIndows; Gutters; Attic Insulation **FIRST IMPRESSIONS: They are PERSISTENT! It was about a year and a half between the initial contact and our actual appointment (had to pin my husband down!), but every few months or so, they would give me a courtesy call just to say, "Hi, we're going to be in your area if you have time." **PRESENTATION: I am a very logistical thinker and I do most of the project planning for our family, so I found the presentation itself AMAZING! We never really discussed how long the quote and presentation process would be so, yes, I was surprised by the fact that it took 5 hours! But I was more surprised by the fact that my husband was engaged the entire time! He hates a hard sales pitch and despises feeling like his time is being wasted; that did not happen here. They answered all of our questions, respected what we had to say, and gave us room to decide for ourselves without the looking-over-your-shoulder pressure. Usually people show you alot of PHOTOS of what they can do/have done. But they had visual aids! Great for people like us. I like to get a feel for what something is and my husband looks at the quality and rationale for decisions. We were thoroughly impressed. **PRICE: I did not expect it to cost as much as we were quoted, but for the quality of the product, I was not that surprised. They offer so many awesome products and pricing initiatives that it was not difficult for us to decide that, for the better of our home and quality of life, we would proceed with them. **INSTALLATION: Gutters and Attic Insulation- They arrived early and the process was seamless. We noticed an IMMEDIATE change in the comfort level of our home. We have used far less energy heating the house since then. Windows- The 3-man crew moved swiftly through the house, and other than the noise of work, did not disturb anything about our routine. I was initially surprised but then remembered that they had mentioned a project manager would also come. This was great because there were questions answered; even ones I didn't ask. The windows look great and were finished well. My home is far quieter with these windows and I am looking forward to Spring when we can have wonderful air circulation and breezes! And they cleaned up after everything. All in all, not only are we satisfied, but we are excited to have made such great decisions to do something good for our home and family. read more

The only thing I agree with in most of these review is that the salesman/free estimate for replacement windows visit was very lengthy. Hunter was very knowledgeable and passionate about the product.....however took a long time to get to the estimate. We chose to purchase the windows and the lifetime warranty is great. The next step was a visit from Jeffery to re-measure and confirm the order of style;color etc. He took about an hour and was very informative on what to expect on installation day. Today was installation day...I was called a couple days in advance to let me know what time to expect the crew and also received a call telling me they were on the way. They arrived at 8am, introduced themselves and took a walk around the outside and inside the house, you could tell they were getting their "game plan". There were 8 workers and they worked so well together they were like a well orchestrated dance...they all knew their part and moved from window to window. They cleaned up after each step and took their shoes off each time they entered the house......vacuuming and washing the windows. When they sealed each window and put on the new exterior trim (they were so careful on the interior as to not damage the interior trim) they did so with so much attention to detail that the outside of our house looks better than when they started. Next was the sliding glass door .... done with the same perfection. Lastly the new front door...so beautiful and again perfection. By 4pm they were done and we did a walk through inside and out. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that the project manager, Matt called in the morning to see how things were going...he showed up to do an inspection of all 23 windows and slider (front door was not completed yet), but we knew that would have the same great result as the rest. He had to leave to go check on another job. And guess what...as I am writing this, Matt called to make sure the final steps were also to our expectations.....they exceeded our expectations. Reading some of these reviews after our purchase and before the install scarred me, but now I know the reviews were not anything like we experienced.... I am sorry that many of you had a bad experience....but ours was superior and we are pleased with our beautiful new widows and doors. One more thing to look forward to...smaller energy bills. read more

Power Home Remodeling Group installed 15 double-hung windows and a large bow window in my home today. My house was built in 1966 and still had the original windows - single pane glass with aluminum storm windows that did little to prevent the outside temperature from impacting the inside temperature. In addition to the crew that installed the windows, a supervisor, and a quality control manager came to make sure everything is right. I observed the care with which they double-checked each window measurement, the skill with which they built an entirely new frame for the bow window, and the diligence the quality control manager demonstrated in checking each and every window. A couple windows needed minor adjustments; they were fixed on the spot. Because it is cold outside, I turned off my heat during the installation process. The temperature in the house went down to the low 40s. In less than an hour, it has risen 17 degrees. I feel no drafts - quite a difference from what it has been like in my living room on previous cold days which required that I wear multiple layers and sit under blankets. Did I mention that my new windows come with a double-lifetime warranty - transferable to the next owner - and the windows are shatterproof in addition to being energy efficient - and beautiful to boot. Along with inspecting the windows, the quality manager checked my attic to make sure I have sufficient ventilation given the new, more energy efficient windows. I had previously mentioned to him that I noticed a small leak in the bathroom ceiling despite having had the roof redone 13 years ago by a different contractor who said they would last 30 years. While he was checking the ventilation, the quality manager noticed that the plywood underside of the roof was delaminating due to excessive heat build up in the summer of which he had taken photos. And yes, it is my attic because I recognize the shape of it and the additional insulation I had installed a couple of years ago. Gil told me that PHRG's solar eclipse, a radiant barrier, will prevent the delamination from continuing, and by cooling the attic, it will also help preserve the shingles that had been getting baked. I am glad to see Teresa T's review of her satisfaction with this product and am looking forward to having it in my attic, too. read more

I am surprised at some of the negative reviews and have had nothing but a positive experience with Power HRG. It just so happen that I had recently cleaned or tried to clean all the windows on the first floor of our home (which was quite a nasty task) I immediately told my husband we need new windows! Coincident or not a few days later we had an unsolicited knock on the door from Powers and we gladly scheduled a free in home estimate for new windows. While I agree the presentation was lengthy it was also extremely informative. We were not really sticker shocked as a lot of reviewers seemed to be, you get what you pay for. We originally made a decision to have our windows replaced in two phases. However, once the windows were installed the improvement in our home inside and out was so amazing we agreed to do Phase 2 right away and replace all the windows before winter. As far as the crew at Powers we were extremely impressed with our sales rep Jay, who gave a very informative presentation of the windows, next it was James who came to measure and made some very positive suggestions on the type of windows we chose. Then Ernesto & his crew did the installation and was very efficient and professional. During the install the project manager Rob, insured that everything was to my satisfaction and that the crew did an excellent job of cleaning up after the job was completed. The final QA and sign-off was done by Gil, again very professional and informative and made sure we understood the lifetime warranties and tax deductions on the energy efficient windows. We did not feel pressure to do Phase 2 but we had such a great experience with the whole process and the windows made such a difference we signed up to have the project completed. No question, replacing the windows is a big expense and we feel very secure that we have made the right decision. The windows are beautiful, custom fit and improve the appearance of our home inside and out. Powers worked with us on the financing and made the whole experience very positive. We encountered Powerhrg at an annual fair in Evanston, Il. We appreciated the energetic, knowledgeable, polite and courteous staff. They were in no way high pressure and the two young gentlemen answered our questions and then helped schedule an appointment for the company's inspector to come to our house and give us an estimate. The salesperson they sent, Matthias, was a very nice young man who was punctual and very good about answering our questions. The presentation was a bit long (thorough is another way to look at it), but otherwise, having done some prior research on the major problems faced by others going for the cheapest option on windows, we were convinced that the overall package of high quality product, warranty and service was worth the premium price. We decided to sign up for all of our windows and scheduled to have an inspector come to get the measurements. The inspector showed up on time and went about his business professionally and efficiently. Although we originally expected to have to wait for 8 weeks to get the windows, we were able to get an earlier appointment. The installation happened as planned and proceeded actually faster than expected. The installers were on-time, polite, clean and very fast. They were finished faster than planned. They left the house as clean - if not cleaner - than they had found it. The company also had called to ensure that they were there and scheduled a quality assurance visit thereafter. The quality inspector, Michael, checked all of the windows inside and out and reemphasized the service and double-lifetime warranty that goes with the windows. He also helped us understand how we might make additional improvements to save more energy - which is a priority for us. We are extremely pleased with our new windows. They look good and have been very well built. The service level from Powerhrg is top notch as are the individuals who represent them. They are clean cut, polite, knowledgeable and professional throughout the process. We intend to continue to use this company in the future for other repair needs and highly recommend them. read more

In 2017, we contracted Power Remodeling to install 44 windows (our entire home) and while the initial installation left much to be desired, they did make efforts to address our concerns. During installation, we encountered issues such as damaged J-channels around nearly every first floor window openings and the wrong size patio door. The situation escalated to the point where the regional VP personally visited to discuss our experience, and ultimately, they corrected the installation. However, our experience with the product's durability and warranty service has been quite disappointing. Five years after installation, many of our sun-exposed windows began experiencing seal failures, and as of today, seven years later, over half of our windows have required replacement. The warranty replacement process has been both slow and frustrating, with a significant backlog that caused us to wait nearly 15 months for the first batch of 20 replacements, with subsequent claims taking an additional 4-9 months each. During today's visit, the team unfortunately arrived with an incorrect replacement for our kitchen window, which had already been replaced previously. Additionally, only one installer was assigned to a two-person job, meaning the upper picture windows could not be replaced as scheduled. While the staff have generally been friendly, our overall experience with Power Remodeling has been challenging. For anyone considering replacement windows, I would advise thoroughly reviewing every review from owners like myself- I promise we are not the only ones who have been negatively impacted. Their product in my experience has not even come close to meeting our expectations for durability. Although the product initially seemed promising, the high amount of failures (54% of my windows so far have failed), combined with extensive delays and issues with replacements, have been an ongoing source of frustration. Do yourself a huge favor, and find another company to get your replacement windows from... this one will likely disappoint you in the long run. read more

I'm with Paige S. from an earlier review. I'm not in love with the length of the sales pitch. It was too long. That being said, I did like the product, they came to a price that was reasonable at an interest rate that was reasonable. I did have to negotiate and I said no more than once to get a better price. That seems to be reasonable, they sell for as much as they can, and I buy for as little as possible and it takes negotiations to make those two contrary ideas match. I could not be happier with the rest of the process. I purchased windows for my entire house. The process works as follows: About 2 weeks after having purchased the windows they sent a gentleman who remeasured all my windows to make sure they were right. Discussed with me how to prepare for the installation day, and what to expect with the installation of a new bay window. He was on time, he was quick and he was very knowledgeable. Then installation day came. They called 3 days in advance to confirm the appointment. The project manager called that morning to tell me they were on the way and if I had any questions to call him directly. They installers arrived right on time and were the neatest, fastest working two man crew I've ever seen. They did impeccable work. The finish work on some of my trim is really well done. During the day an installation manager showed up and checked on things, made sure I was happy and made sure any questions I had were answered. At the end of the project the installation manager called and made sure all things were in order. Later that night the Quality Assurance guy showed up and checked the entire installation and the function of all windows. He then ran us through a quality control questionnaire and left. All of that customer service paid off. I was skeptical at the outset since I too was introduced via door to door sales but it turned out great! read more

I was shopping at Sam's Club when I met Anthony. He VERY KINDLY asked me about by home and windows. Generally, I say that I am not interested. He was so genuine that I stopped to see what he had to say. We ended up talking for at least 30 min. I decided to schedule an appt to see what Power might be able to do for me. My siding and windows are going on 30yrs old. As a homeowner, I know what needs to be done to keep the home in shape. Nick came to my home for the "sale"!! At no time, did I ever feel pressured to do anything at all. We walked around my home and discussed everything. Nick showed me what has happened over the past 30 yrs. He also told me what I did not need. Did not try to sell me anything that was not necessary. Once I agreed to make a purchase, he set up a time for the "measurer" to come out and for an installation date. After every interaction, I was contacted by the company to make sure people showed up etc. The 1st day of installation, I received a call letting me know when they would be here. All workers were right on time. The foreman went over everything with me. There were also some changes that we had thought about after all the decisions, measurements etc had been made. The crew was able to accommodate my wishes without any problems at all. The workers started immediately upon arrival and NEVER stopped working. Everyone was very nice. Was very impressed. Each day a quality assurance mgr would come by to make sure everything was good. They also went around the home and answered questions we had after the workers had left. I have worked retail and been in sales almost my entire life. Not once did I ever feel like I was being pushed forward with something I did not agree to. Ryan was the final guy that came out. I can't recommend this company highly enough! I am baffled by the negative reviews and I can tell you Power Home Remodeling is the the company to trust with your home exterior projects. A power rep knocked on our door and explained they were doing work in the area and they do free estimates and there is no hassle or requirement to buy. I was in need of window replacement for four large (nearly floor to ceiling) front room windows. Power worked with me and my families schedule on a time for the estimate. We are busy folk and they were very flexible with time and date agreeing to meet in the evening 7:00pm as that worked best for the family. Joe was our consultant, he was AWESOME. He set a reasonable expectation of at least a few hours for our consultation. Yes it down take 2-4 hours depending on the project, but this is a thorough and honest consultation of a home remodeling project. It was clear to see that Joe was extremely proud to work for Power, and for good reason. The demonstration of the window system itself was something to behold, it is one thing to be told about energy savings and durability, it is another to be shown the glass can beat a nail into a 2x4 without issue. My boys (5 & 2) loved that part of the demo. Once we decided to go with Power they set an installation date that worked again for my family. The install team was kind, clean and courteous. Installation took not but a few hours. The product is second to none, as is the entire Power team for that matter. I could not be happier with my decision to have Power come in to my home and take on our project. I will recommend them to all of my friends and family. My experience with power has been outstanding. From the first conversation with Jay who taught me the history of the company, to my sales Guy Dave (highly recommend asking for him!) who was honest to the point and made sure I knew the full ins and outs of all of the window operations, warranty, and contact information for all of the products. My kids my family and I all spent a good four hours with Dave to put up with a lot and was a tremendous Lee good person. And honest and to the point. My price was explained and nothing was hidden or secretly added later. Jeff my Pre-install guy came and measured everything. To make sure it was exactly what we needed for our house. He explained all of the day of install procedures and answered all my questions. My install crew had to replace a lot of things to make new windows work which added to the beauty of the house. Cleaned up all extra materials and hauled away all old materials. My post install guy name was Brett who came to check over everything actually found a small hole in the upstairs screen and replaced it right then and there. Afterwards discussed all parts and made sure if I had any questions to answer them for me. all of my questions were answered properly correctly and honestly. Which in the land of sales I found to be a real hard thing to find. Everybody has worked with some power has been open and honest with all of the materials down to the sales guys all the pricing is outside so everything is working so well and I am so grateful I contacted them. Power Home Remodeling Group has been the most professional and thorough contractor I have ever used. From the initial sales man, to the demonstration of their window product, to the removal and replacement of my old windows for their superior product, I have nothing but good news and great vibes. Having a double lifetime 100% warranty on their product, and the labor required for repair or replacement was a huge selling point. This warranty is transferrable to the next owner of the home, making the inevitable sale of my home all the more valuable. After reading many of the negative reviews about this company, I have trouble understanding the complaints listed within. I suffered none of the negatives, and have far too many positives to list here. The surprising thing I read was about the price Power quoted, and the price that was eventually paid. All I can say is that you get what you pay for, and to pay so little for roofing, or replacement windows, is scary to me. I am by no means a wealthy man, but I want a product that will outlast my stay in this home, and will bring value and longevity to whatever I put into my home. The next owners of my home will not have to worry about the replacement windows installed today, or ever have to pay for any repairs to them. This brings a value to my home I could not offer to potential buyers before. I want to sell my home for a good price, and Power Home Remodeling Group has given me that potential. Power HRG came to replace my windows after 3 last minute reschedules. When they arrived, they immediately were confused, since they had the wrong number of windows in the truck and didn't have interior trim. Instead of admitting their mistake, they tried to convince me that I didn't pay for the interior trim and I had to show them my contract for them to finally call their project manager and confirm that the trim would need to be put in place at a different time. They then said a project manager would reach out to me to schedule a time for my half finished windows to be completed. Instead of the project manager reaching out to me, I had to call three times and the soonest they could come fix their error was 1 week from the day they started installing the windows. Normally this would be enough to drive most people crazy, but it gets worse. Since they were rushing to try and go home early, they busted my old windows out, breaking the glass. This resulted in broken glass being left all over my roof, lawn, and bedrooms where they just left it for me to clean up. They also slopped on caulk and gap insulation while throwing in uneven windows, which resulted in scuffed uneven hard to open "NEW" windows. The customer service team is only good at saying sorry, but hasn't been able to rectify the issue at all. I am warning everyone out there, that the price for these windows is not worth the sloppy, careless workmanship that you will be stuck with since they don't honor their warranty service. User's recommendation: Don't buy. read more

A salesman came to my door to sell me new windows. You know how that is. My windows let drafts of air flow through my house, so I invited them to come tell me about their windows. I am SOOO glad I did. The salesman explained everything thoroughly. He did a demonstration where he projected a heat light through various types of windows and measured the temperature on the other side, these windows let through about 11% of the heat. The windows are silver coated to keep heat and cold where it belongs, they have no metal to conduct the heat and cold. The screens are extremely sturdy. If ANYTHING goes wrong with the windows or screens they are guaranteed, parts and labor included, for me as a home owner and I can pass it once to the next home owner. I think the price was great, much better than what I expected for such high quality windows. I bought them. They offer financing too. The installation crew arrived promptly, worked efficiently, were extremely polite, and did a fantastic job of installing my new windows and cleaning up afterward. Their work is precise, the windows all look great! There was a small defect in one of the window tracks, they saw this and ordered a new part, which was replaced.
