Came on a Friday for a very late lunch at 3pm. Everyone was very friendly and helpful as it was my first time. Got a bourbon chicken platter with sweet potato tots and green beans. Got a pulled pork sandwich for my husband, both to go. Pork sandwich was pretty good, meat was tender sauce was ok. I liked this place when it was where El Salto was decades ago. I liked the version on York Rd that is not The Coop. This one? Not so much. First off, everything is quite overpriced - probably due to the area. Secondly, my chicken strips had egg shell on one of them. Egg shell just battered right against the chicken, deep fried or baked or whatever. The piece of egg shell was visible immediately when I picked up the chicken strip. You can create combo meals or platters in a variety of sizes. They also have some additional options like General tso's chicken, Bourbon chicken, fried chicken, and the like. If you are not in the mood for sharing tubs of meat or a whole bird, you can also order Panini, wraps, burgers, salads, etc. Weather ordering a family meal or a platter or simply ala carte , make sure you leave room for the wide assortment of side dishes. The mac & cheese in particular is amazing! They also have breakfast items on the menu if you're coming by early. I have never had the crepes, but they have a wide assortment of savory and sweet crepes on the second page of the menu. Last but not least, they have a great selection of ice cream and other dessert items. There really isn't much room to sit down and eat, and the vast majority of people get their meals to go. I am totally perplexed by all of the negative reviews on here... I've been coming to Poulet for years and have never had a bad experience. I live in NYC now but I always make sure to stop in when I visit Maryland. I was just in the other day and all of the food was very fresh, even the pre-made salads in the fridge. Moreover, everything is peanut/tree nut free which is quite remarkable and wonderful for everyone with nut allergies (I am one of them.) Their ice cream is homemade and the vegan Coconut Berry is one of the best vegan ice cream's I've had. Everyone is always incredibly friendly and attentive. I think unfortunately this place seems to attract some angry trucker types due to location, hence the bad reviews One thing I'm upset about is that I realized that they no longer have crepes. This is a bit disappointing as I haven't been able to eat crepes at a creperie due to possible cross contamination with peanut butter/etc. and Poulet was nut free. What a great place. Top-notch "fast casual" from before it was cool. Very consistent through the years too. Great chicken and sides, great salads, wide variety of juices and drinks, plus - sshhh - secretly the best homemade ice cream in the Baltimore area (only about 10-15 flavors but they are staggeringly great). Only downside is occasionally the chicken can be a little dry, though not usually - depends on turnover and timing. But the prices are right for the size and quality of what they offer. Ordered the whole chicken meal deal with carrots, mashed potato's and green beans. For about $40 this can easily feed 4 adults. The chicken was tender and juicy, the carrots and green beans cooked and seasoned well and the mashed potatoes or rustic and delicious. I love rotisserie chicken, so my friend recommended we come here for dinner last night. She said she and her husband order from here at least once a week and it's always good. I was excited to indulge in some comfort food and went to Greenspring Station! And the rotisserie chicken, I will admit, was delicious. Everything else about the experience was disappointing. I ordered the sides of mac & cheese and mashed potatoes and both were lukewarm. The mac & cheese was actually kind of watery and flavorless, in my opinion. It tasted more like a cup of easy mac than it did a comforting, homemade pasta dish. The meal plus a bottle of Diet Coke came to $13, which also feels a little bit steep for food that you could more or less get at Boston Market. But I think this is, like, their thing. I think people who come here don't mind dropping $15 for basically fast comfort food on a plastic tray. And Poulet caters to those people (literally and figuratively). They have an entire crepe menu.... and each of the crepes are named after a local Baltimore private school. I get it - your client base is composed of private school students and their parents. But what about students from Towson High or Dulaney High? Surely they are welcome. Just not warmly. I guess the Towson Crepe doesn't have the same ring to it as the Bryn Mawr Crepe... They did have ice cream that looked awesome! But it comes with quite a price tag - $3.99 for 1 scoop. I could buy a whole thing at the supermarket for that price! We've often stopped here when on bike rides, for ice cream. (Even though it's on a route popular with cyclists, there is NO BIKE RACK.) Today we decided to have lunch. I ordered a burger and fries. My bill came to $20. The good news is that the Angus burger was cooked the way I like, and it tasted good. The bad news is that I couldn't eat the burger because it was soupy with mayo and ketchup. I picked it up, took a bite, and was covered with slimy liquids, the bun and lettuce totally soaked. It was completely inedible. When I complained to the manager about both the presentation and the price, she just shrugged and said "things are expensive in this area. Oh, was there too much mayo?" No apology, no refund. My husband got only two SMALL side orders of veggies, and his bill was $9.00. In addition, everything was plastic, plastic, plastic. We ate inside, but they don't even offer a paper plate or cup. When I first moved to Ruxton, this place was right around the corner and I kept passing it and I was really hoping to like it, just because of the vicinity to my place. I was extremely dissapoointed. I am giving Poulet a 5 star rating for 2 reasons: 1. they have wonderful, delicious gluten free options and 2. Angela. I was a bit confused and overwhelmed when I went in and the girl behind the counter was having difficulty understanding my questions about gluten. That's when Angela came over and explained everything and helped get all of my order together. I brought home a variety of foods to try and all of them were wonderful, including the best rotisserie chicken we've ever had. (We think $15 for a chicken that includes 3 generous sides is quite the deal!!) Shockingly their scalloped (delicious!) potatoes are gf as is their gravy!! My only suggestion is that the cole slaw needs a bit more sauce (we added some at home) but all in all, this was truly a find!!! read more

I LOVE this place! The food is wonderful, the selection is amazing and the service has always been above par. Maybe once in the 45 times (yes, I get lunch here A LOT) did I not care for what I ordered, as it was a little over salted. I've had the roasted chicken, the bourbon chicken, the chicken pot pie,the wraps, the salads (my favorite being the cold noodle and radish salad) and just about every side. To give a place 1 star bc they use Styrofoam cups and yours had a hole in it is just plain common. Maybe send an email to suggest the use of biodegradable cups?? This is THE BEST place to get ice cream. The best place I've ever been to at least. I first came here maybe 3-4 weeks ago and I've been back 3 times since then. I've never gotten their food items, so I'm not sure how good that is, but every time I've been it has been packed and everyone says how amazing the food is.
