Little bit run down but good sandwiches fries were excellent. Staff were nice. Bathrooms are very dated but clean.

    Corned beef on rye

We had visited here once before and decided to enjoy a light meal there, mid-afternoon on a weekday. This restaurant was simply decorated, yet more than adequate. On the far side they were setting up boxed meals, a good way to promote their business. My husband had the corned beef on Rye, and all I wanted was some hot, fresh French fries. Both came out quickly.the sandwich was fresh, and the meat was very lean. A tasty one. My ff were cooked to order and more than enough for 2 adults. The reason for the 3 stars was because there were no prices listed anywhere that we could see. None on the board with all their offerings above the prep station. None at the cash register. All that came to our minds was: if you have to ask, you can't afford it. It was not a terrible shock when the young lady rang it up.$19.07. We still would like the knowledge of what they charge. It was not on the receipt we received. They do have a large display where you enter with pictures and price/lb of different salads. Everyone there was wonderful. Very nice.

First time eating this place at training camp. By far the best sandwich I've had in a minute. Food was served quick and they definitely didn't skip on the meat. Great people and great food. Will be back!

My wife and I stopped in and had an absolutely delicious lunch. The New Yorker was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp salad too. Staff were extremely friendly and the restaurant was clean. Highly recommend.

Crabcake with a lot of bread

Food compared to a fast food restaurant. The crabcake had a lot of bread in It and didn't have much flavor and the first one was burnt . The jalapeño poppers were the same thing you would get out of the regular frozen jalapeño popper. We also got something called the curly fryer that tasted a little better and it was more of a deli type sandwich. I gave it three stars for that sandwich. One sandwich, one crabcake, onion rings and jalapeño poppers and two sodas $60. I would not get the crabcakes again.

Yummy sandwiches! Great local spot. We typically split a sub for lunch and its usually more than enough food. Favorites: Shrimp Salad Pilgrim (fall special) Buffalo Chicken Wrap Depending on who takes your order they get a little weird about modifications. Deli sides are not great... BUT the sandwiches are big and come with chips so it doesn't really matter.

Just moved to the area and tried this place on the recommendation of friends. Wow! Possibly the best sandwich I've ever tasted. Great sides too! Will definitely be in our regular rotation.

    Shrimp salad wrap

I love the food truck. He is so awesome. The food is amazing. The seafood egg rolls and the shrimp salad wrap are to die for.

Another placeholder so my pictures link. I'll update with details later, but the 2 star rating holds true.

Food is good but prices are extremely high. If you get a combo the drink is not included. The wings were a little too hard.

La Michoacana is a brightly colored shop sitting in what looks to be a downtown Dundalk area, that could definitely use some more excitement. Which La Michoacana brings to the little strip mall. La Michoacana has a deli counter set up, where you grab a ticket and wait to be called to place your order. While you wait you can browse the countless number of Mexican specialty popsicles they offer, which all sound amazing, as well as the various ice cream flavors they have. They also have some savory items on their menu so you can have a little snack before ending your visit with a sweet treat. Of course, I ordered the Dubai chocolate strawberries which were quite tasty. Served warm, this dessert is covered in a copious amount of chocolate, pistachio cream, chopped pistachios, and crispy kataifi. It would be nice if they made the strawberries behind the counter, for a more thrilling display, but they put it together in the back of their establishment. It's still pretty amazing to look at the dessert as they walk it over to you. Next time I'm in the area, I definitely plan on stopping in to try some of their popsicles. La Michoacana seems like it's a good staple for the Dundalk area and will be a refreshing treat for the dog days of summer.

TLDR: A Dundalk institution closes its doors, but the flavors and memories will stick with me…read moreforever. It's truly the end of an era for Herman's Bakery. My family and I have been coming here since the 80s, and hearing that they're closing at the end of March 2026 hit hard. The owners are retiring in their 70s, with no one to carry on the tradition, and you can really feel how much this place meant to the community. Herman's has always been a staple for us, especially for their strawberry shortcakes and marshmallow donuts. Those were must-haves growing up, along with their fresh rye bread and the fudge topped shortbread cookies that somehow made every holiday and birthday feel a little more special. I made one last trip about a week before closing, getting there at 7:30am on a Friday, and the line was already out the door. No surprise there. Everyone in Dundalk seemed to have the same idea. Honestly, I didn't mind the wait at all knowing this would be the last time walking through those doors. They were limiting items due to demand, but I was still able to grab two slices of strawberry shortcake, two marshmallow donuts, and a pound of those fudge shortbread cookies. And just like always, everything tasted exactly how I remembered. No drop off, no shortcuts, just consistently great baked goods to the very end. It's rare to find a place that stays this consistent for decades, and even rarer for it to be such a big part of so many people's lives. Dundalk won't be the same without Herman's, but I'm grateful for all the years and memories. Wishing the owners a well deserved and happy retirement.

Besides the renovations, it did have an old building odor, which if you're new (like me) it's very off putting. The desserts were nice looking and rich, I got a slice rather slither of carrot and double chocolate cake, both for a total $8. I'll say if you like strawberry shortcake this is the place for you because they had a bunch of those lol. They had a case for italian cookies and other pastries like donut and danishes.
