a person holding a bowl of ice cream

When you're craving ice cream, BR isn't a bad place to fulfill the need. Of course 31 Flavors has been around forever. I just wouldn't say they have all 31 flavors at any given location. I noticed that very few locations have flavor like chocolate fudge or the seasonal Oreo Mocha. Thankfully this place, right off of York Rd. near the beltway, does. At least for now. They may not have other flavors you may want, so be prepared to be flexible. Ice Cream is your standard franchise ice cream, not the most natural or homemade. But it will do when you have to have a sweet treat. There is a dairy free option and sugar free ones, but IMO they aren't worth it. This store is directly next door to a Dunkin. But they aren't attached and I find the Dunkin closes earlier. Not a knock on the ice cream shop, but if you plan on getting coffee AND ice cream in the evening like we like to do, be warned you may have to go up the road for the coffee.

Baseball Nut (Vanilla ice cream and cashews with a black raspberry ribbon) in a waffle cone

(05/12/2013) Nothing like ending a day with a little ice cream. BR is OK, classic candy-like flavors, ice cream is a little gummy (plenty of cellulose gum and vegetable shortening holding it together). The flavor of the month, Baseball Nut (vanilla ice cream, cashews, ribbon of raspberry) was sticky, sweet with a little salty nuttiness; nothing subtle, tasty enough.

Ice cream waffle cones were stale and highly overpriced for one scoop. I would not recommend.

We've tried a number of places (and, yes, even those along Route 40 and around Ellicott City). Name it, we've tried it. Towson. Lutherville. Hunt Valley. Not even close. Their boba mixes are all incredibly tasty. Everything is well curated. They even get the sweetness level just right. I always ask for 75% because I want something more quenching, but get it at 100 and then adjust. A certain little girl I know always gets the strawberry milk boba (sometimes with poppers) and it's the epitome of what you want in this drink. They recently revamped their look and put out some new offerings, all of which makes the place possibly the ONLY PLACE in all of Cockeysville/Hunt Valley worth visiting for the sweet toothed. And, wait for it, they have COFFEE. Did I mention they have coffee? What's with the neighborhood of Cockeysville? Do they not like coffee? Is it too hard to have some strong bracing coffee that's so hot, you have to blow on it? And pleeze people. Ask for Korean pastries. They are so good, if you ask, they're gonna start sourcing more of the fresh kind and then we're gonna finally have a first rate cafe here in this cafe desert that is Cockeysville. Not to effuse, but the place is also adorable. Clean, bright, effortlessly welcoming. I didn't review this place for the longest and I'm kinda conflicted about it. But there's so much bad boba out there, bobas getting a bad rap. There may be one other boba house that is decent... but when you consider ambiance and variety, it's not even close.
