I ordered a quilt online - on 12/8 - in stock, ready to ship - be here 3/15. WHAT???? I didn't notice the March delivery date - called to cancel - can't cancel. I wanted to order a couch - loved design, color - but the delivery fee and after reading reviews and delivery issues - I went elsewhere. Same with small cabinet I wanted - bought a cute one from Mayfair. I got the quilt 1/14 - not expecting - not home. Sorry PB - I used to shop your store - have a couch and recliner but no more. This Pottery Barn is ALWAYS busy. People walk in here acting like things are on mega-sale. The employees are nice. However, it is a dog-eat-dog world in here. There will be sales associates flocking to you if they know you are looking at a big ticket item. Some of the ladies working here were super nice, but others weren't so kind! We were trying to look at swatches to see which colors we'd like and one of the sales associates acted like we were a bother (huffed and puffed when we were asking for more color options)! Even had the audacity to give us her business card afterwards after finding out we were looking for a couch. Her tone certainly changed after that. smh. LOL We ended up finding another associate to help us, and she was fantastic. read more

I ordered the Westwood Square Arm Sofa expecting the sofa to be as comfortable as the one in the store and to be the color I ordered. The sofa was delivered in Yellow, not the deep Tan as I ordered it. And it's Rock Hard. I've been waiting for a month for Pottery Barn to take care of my issue. Today I finally received an answer. They are Not standing by their product. The answer they gave me regarding the comfort was to just sit on it. The answer regarding the color was that it was the same color as I ordered. Look at the photos, you be the judge. I got screwed. Do Not buy furniture from Pottery Barn or Sutter Street the manufacturer of the sofa based in NC. read more

I came to pottery barn in search of a bed frame. I was immediately greeted by Betty who was so sweet and patient with me. We looked at beds on display and at wood samples and eventually I found a piece of wood sample I liked. Unfortunately that bed frame model was not on display but I ordered it anyways. Hopefully when delivered, the bed is as nice as the picture and the wood is as nice as the sample I saw in store. Many thanks to Betty and her customer service. She is super sweet and helpful. I took Pictures of my favorite time of the year with the selection of harvest they had displayed. The level of detail in the visual art is amazing in this place. Gives me hope to be inspired to design my home through every season. The pottery is actually very good quality and not cheaply made you buy at other places. Kelly is a very experienced and knowledgeable designer they have on staff. I recommend her. read more

I came in today, December 17, to buy some curtains. This was going to be a large purchase, about 10 curtain panels, so almost $2000. While the store was busy, most of the employees were scurrying around not really helping anyone. I finally just waited in the line to check out, so I could get someone's attention to help me. The two cashiers were falling all over themselves to help a lady buy 2 coffee cups. When I asked if I could get help with some curtains one walked away and the other acted annoyed. I had some questions and I wanted to see all the different color options, but she just handed me the sample book and walked away. She never came back to check on me so I just took pictures of everything I wanted to buy and came home to order online. It was a very disappointing experience. read more

I really was not overly impressed with this Pottery Barn store at all. I have been to several Pottery Barn locations over the years and usually find the staff to be helpful attentive and At Your Service the whole time you're in the store. We honestly had trouble getting anyone's attention to ask a few questions and even when we did it kind of seemed like we were bothering them. It ended up being that what I was looking for is only at the Pottery Barn stores for kids and this one is not one of those stores so they did not have the items. Even then rather than direct me to one of the other stores or even provide exceptional service by calling another store to see if what I wanted was in stock they just said I would need to find one of the children's stores and see if they had what I was looking for. read more

I came into the store prepared I had what I was looking for on my phone advertising says there's always someone there to help. I was looking for a duvet didn't see it on the wall asked a worker there African-American she looked at me told me we didn't sell colors very unprofessional rude didn't even bother to even ask any kind of questions to help me just told me that I needed to order it at home . (there was lots of colors there) A young Hispanic man said hello and asked if he could help me I told him I just spoke to woman with attitude he then directed me to Kelly..... She was absolutely wonderful took the time to help me get my duvet I wanted and come to find out the shams are a separate area on the computer which she went above and beyond to help me find what I needed to decorate my bedroom she was fabulous highly recommend ask for Kelly if you're in the store. she saved the day she went above and beyond very much appreciated it. She even stated that buying from the store helps them out great news b/c I love the store. read more

Of 4 employees working, only one acknowledged me. One didn't see me yet. One wasn't rude but was busy with another customer. I waited at one of the registers to make a return and one saw me waiting and continued stocking/replacing display items. Another helped another lady first at the other register. Giving the employee the benefit of the doubt, I got in line behind the lady at the other register- no big deal. Employee directed me to go to other register. I told her no one has acknowledge me. "Oh well you're gonna have to wait we are a little backed up." In the most condescending tone. (As she is chit chatting about everything with this other customer and other 2 people are busy stocking/or prioritizing displays). An "I'm sorry about that we are backed up" or any kind of apologetic or compassionate response would have been nice. And I would have been much more understanding. Having worked in retail.. and being a decent human being.. I would never speak to a customer that way. Employee that helped me was nice. read more

I just visited this store today July 1 with the hopes of purchasing some dish ware. The store is beautiful and very well kept. However i was in the store 10 minutes and was not greeted by a single employee or offered any assistance, even though store employees glance in my direction. I will note that some employees were with customers but there did appear to be at least 3 employees at the cash register area. I was extremely disappeared in the lack of customer service in this store that i decided to leave. I have been purchasing my dish ware and silver ware from pottery barn since i was in law school however this customer service experience has really turned me off. read more

I really hate it when lazy employees lock the store doors 5 minutes before closing. I especially hate it when they make eye contact with you standing at the door, looking at a sign that says the store should be open, but they can't be bothered. Just needed a quick return, but nope. You earned this 1 star review, guys. Do better. read more
