Fail. $10 for a very 'mid' turkey sandwich... the new normal. But then I ask for a cup of water and I am handed a 9 oz party cup with no lid. I let them know i needed a cup with a lid and they informed me that I needed to pay the full price of a soft drink for just a water cup! No other fast food restaurant has tried charging me for water - let alone full price for a soft drink. read more

I don't review chain restaurants . But I go to this one a little and they actually recall my order. Even though I go less than once a month. And they are cheerful which is nearly impossible in fast food service. Always helpful when I can't figure out how to use my coupons in the app. read more

They give you half of the soup order. Very disappointing. Not the first time but won't order from here again

just had my first potbelly and the sandwhich is the skimpiest sandwich I have ever seen. Order an Italian and there is one tiny slice of each meat that doesn't even cover the bread. Wouldn't order again. read more

Potbelly - Sandwiches Near Me - Wheaton, Illinois

I generally drive to the Glen Ellyn location as I find the service and quality consistent. However, I went inside this location about 5pm today, October 19, and here's my experience: 1. The person who greeted me wiped snot dripping from his nose with his shirt sleeve. 2. There were about four employees milling about doing nothing, with one lady waiting ahead of me at the register to pay for what seemed like a long time. 3. As I waited for my sandwich to be prepped the young woman (with blonde hair) who I assumed was new and a young man (with dark curly hair) guiding her was joshing about. She asked me twice what my toppings were and then she kept asking him how to make the sandwich. The sign was behind her with all of the toppings and the toppings were in front of her. The process was taking far too long. The sign in store says eight-minute wait, I waited more like twenty minutes for a half sandwich and soup. When the young man gave me the soup, it was leaking out of the cup with the lid on. I asked him for another one and he just dumped the soup into another cup. The cup of soup was sitting by the register while they took a long time to prep my sandwich, meaning my soup was not hot when I ate it. Lastly, the young man who was assisting the young woman who filled my soup cup, also rang me up. He used the same gloves that he used to make the sandwich to accept my payment and bag my food and went back to fixing sandwiches. As you can see there were a couple of food safety issues and concerns as well as poor service. I wanted to share my experience because perhaps there was a training issue somewhere along the way. My sandwich was tasty, but my soup was cold. read more

I love this Potbelly - I decided to try their salad today- I got the power up which was delicious - the chicken was a little sketchy but They are always nice and pretty quick here. read more

They are by far the best place for a quick and great sandwich.I tried them on a whim and am now hooked on their veggie melt. Everything is fresh, and the service is excellent. It reminds me of the old deli style restaurants when I was a kid. The atmosphere is great. read more

It's the best, Rice Lake location Wheaton IL , almost as good as the first location on Lincoln in Chicago. They're all good! It's a great, well run store, just having a hard time finding people like every other place. NEver had a bad samich here. The Place rules. All locations have the same excellent menu and serve best hot or cold Sandwiches and Salads in their category. Roosevelt road crew also stellar -in Glen Ellyn, IL. located at 552 Roosevelt Road just west of Main St. read more

I was in the area so I ordered the Mediterranean Salad that my friend is constantly raving about. It was sooooooooo good! I ordered on the app and it told me when it would be ready. You can call when you get there and have them bring it to your car or you can go in for pickup. They have a spot with some shelves (cubbies) and my bag was right there with my name on it. All the ingredients in my salad were fresh and there were tons of them. They didn't skimp on anything - chickpeas, feta and chicken were aplenty. COVID facts to know - carryout only. The hours may vary later at night. My friend who is a frequent flier thought they were going to start closing earlier at night, so check. read more

Today was a soup and sandwich sort of day, so we headed towards Panera but at the last minute opted to drop into Potbelly instead. A good choice, as today was the one day a week that there's a live musician strumming away in a quiet manner. It was nice to have live music with lunch and afterward, I put a dollar in his jar. For lunch, the light turkey sandwich was my choice, with mustard, lettuce and tomato. Nicely toasted, it filled my tummy. Oops, I also had a small cup of the loaded baked potato soup. Both were excellent and quite filling. With the bottle of water, around $10. A good deal for quick food that felt healthy and was certainly filling. read more

What a friendly group of guys was working here on Saturday! (This was especially comforting as we had just come from visiting a friend in the hospital; the staff didn't know this, of course, but their gracious warmth was so welcoming and it really made a difference in the day.) I like the warm sandwiches here; i got A Wreck and my dad had the Italian. Tasty, casual, quick, and ultra-friendly service. This Potbelly gets 5 stars from me. read more

We visit this location occasionally and always had a good experience. Today the music was so loud causing the restaurant to be very noisy . It was almost impossible to carry on a conversation. Will consider another option if it continues. read more

Potbelly's sugar cookies are TO DIE FOR! They are so delicious, soft, and the perfect size. The cookies are bigger than your hand, and extremely soft with a slight crunch. The flavor is delectable. read more

Are used to go here all the time until they repeatedly kept getting my order wrong and putting an allergen on my sandwich that I could not eat and then laughing about it especially after it's remade three times and I'm telling you the allergen and you're purposely putting it on there like it's funny so I thought I'd give this place one last whirl because it's been a few years and I'll be darned, if I didn't pick up my order and it wasn't wrong and it had the allergen, and the other one was ENTIRELY WRONG. Sorry, no mas. read more

We ordered a family pack with four meals in July 2021. The website was easy to navigate and to place our order. We picked up the order at the Wheaton location. The staff was polite and responsive. I was impressed with their customer service! The food was ready, as promised, and they were attentive to all details. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and have been back (to a location closer to home). Next time I am in Wheaton, will definitely order from this location. read more

Needed to grab something fast so came here with a co worker before an event. The guy making the sandwich was extremely friendly and helpful. I like potbellys but dont come often so i never know what to order. Well i told him to make me whatever he thought i would like so it was the chicken, bacon and some cheddar cheese with basically everything on it. Sour cream chips and Perrier Sparkling water. I told him i didnt want it too heavy so he recommended the flat bread and im happy I got that. It was super greasy from the giardiniera peppers but omg.. best flat bread or sandwich ive had in a while. Fan of this place. i wont be going again soon but they for sure deserve the 4 stars all around! read more

Potbelly - Chicken bacon flatbread with everything. Def recommend! - Sandwiches Near Me - Wheaton, Illinois

You will literally *never* get everything in your order if you order delivery so hope you're good with missing a random part of your order! Pretty sure this location is going out of business. read more

The employees have always been gracious and polite but there was a recent change in management and it has not been for the better. I witnessed her rudely address a customer who brought in a service dog and when the customer asked her to look up the laws that she did not know of she told him "Don't tell me what to do." This is my first time in since the change in management has occurred and it wasn't a positive visit. read more

Put in an APP order and arrived a little after it was supposed to be ready. Walked in, they confused me for a catering order and told me I'd have to pay extra. Come to find out, they never made my order. It was fairly busy and we had to wait about 15 minutes for the order. Location needs to pay better attention to their pick-up orders. When I got home, got the wrong sandwich. Manager corrected it to my satisfaction. read more

Got the farmhouse salad subbed chicken for ham and added and avocado. My order was very different and the workers were so nice and got my whole order correct. The cashier guy was the sweetest person and complimented my nails and was super friendly. The customer service here was amazing. I wish I knew the gentleman's name so I can compliment him. The staff was awesome. I will defs come back to this location. I hope they do get a drive thru soon though. read more

I have ordered the same sandwich every time I have been to any Potbelly's - A Wreck with everything (Except avocado) on regular. It's a nice blend of flavors and textures sandwiched between bread that's nice and crunchy. Honestly, I will probably never choose a different sandwich at Potbelly's because it's hard to stray when every Potbelly's get this sandwich done right every time! A shout out to the hot peppers Potbelly's has. It's good stuff and they even sell jars of it! I occasionally get a chocolate shake with my sandwich, but it's an OK shake. They make it quick and it comes with two mini Salerno butter cookie rings, which is a nice touch. But it's still just an OK milkshake. Location specific - Definitely my favorite Potbelly's in the area. Consistently friendly staff, the place is always clean, and parking here is plentiful. This location also doesn't get as busy as nearby locations, so even during weekends at lunch, lines are relatively short. read more

Seems like a decent Potbelly. Ordered a large roast beef sandwich and they got it right. Had a dude playing guitar and belting out a tune or two - nice touch, though either the guy sings for nothing or Potbelly takes a huge hit having him sing there. Kind of disappointed that they don't seem to have kettle chips anymore. They carry Zapp's brand now - don't recall that before, though I could be wrong. Good place for me to stop on the run while heading to a nearby office where I'm doing some work. read more

I love Potbelly! I used to live in a Potbelly-less area and had to drive far away just to get a sandwich. Ridiculous, right? Now I live so close to this one that I feel genuinely excited every time I drive by it. Their sandwiches are probably my favorite and I like that they offer light sandwiches and also wraps. That way you can feel good about your choices. Although, their shakes are equally delicious that you won't save any calories at all. The staff that work here are friendly and efficient and are always happy to customize your sandwich however you'd like. You'll get in and out within 10 minutes, unless there's a lunch rush, which might take a little bit longer. read more

Love me a pot bellies sandwich! It's so easy to get a nice filling vegan sandwich. I get the Mediterranean on white no cheese no artichoke add mushrooms and everything but mayo. Perfect! They have giant pickles you can get as a side too! My only complaint is sometimes they try to charge me extra for mushrooms-not cool I don't get cheese or artichoke it should equal out. Actually your probably making more money because both those items are more e pensive than mushrooms. I usually fight it and they do t charge me but it's really annoying! read more

I just ordered here for delivery. A kids meal and a choose 2. My meal was fine. However, when I ordered my son's sandwich I asked for it to not be toasted. When we opened it though it was completely burnt. The bread was black. Luckily I had bread at home so I just took the meat and put it on the bread I have. Just wish a little attention was paid to details but it's not the end of the world. Everything tasted good otherwise! read more

Always great food and service at this location. All the guys here are super friendly! Thanks for always being so pleasant!

Having never gone there before I was excited. After spending seven bucks for a Big Wreck I was so disappointed. Where the fuck is the meet? Cheap bastards! I hope this franchise goes out of business fast. read more

I'm really disappointed in you guys! Last time I checked, iceburg lettuce is not supposed to be bright pink and slimey. Your salads have always been a favorite of mine and today I debated getting all spinach in my "chicken salad" salad because most restaurants don't have the best quality lettuce. But I told myself," no, need to substitute the iceberg" because your salads have never disappointed before. And I mean, NEVER. Now I can't buy your salads anymore! I just had to throw the whole thing away read more

I'm a fan of potbelly's. However, I think this location was lackluster in making my sandwich. Not really sure what the issue was, but hey, I'm hoping it was a one off slip up. I'll be back because, it's like the only Potbelly's in the area. read more

I LOVE POTBELLY! This place in particular has always provided me with excellent customer service and a great sandwich without fail. Just placed a 69.00 order. This store gave DoorDash the wrong address. DoorDash delivered the order as directed, but to the wrong address. Our company placed a very large order also today. I asked if he could send them together and he said no, he sent my order to DoorDash. So I know he made the mistake not DoorDash. I called Pottbelly in Wheaton and they said they would void the order and credit our card. No offer to make up for the mistake by sending a new order. There are too many Potbellys around to make the mistake of ordering from this one again. You lost our business and our Company's business. Really poor management. read more

I typically order Potbellies from the downtown Naperville location and I have never had an issue. However, because they closed at 4 today and I was too late to put an order it, I decided to order from the Wheaton location because they were open an hour later. When I bit into my grilled cheese sandwich, it was loaded with chicken. I ordered a grilled cheese. Not once did I indicate that I wanted chicken on my grilled cheese..I don't know if that is even an option. As a vegetarian, I'm already limited to what sandwiches I can get and a grilled cheese from there sounded great today. Unfortunately, by the time I found out it had chicken (this thoroughly grossed me out), it was too late to put in another order from there so I had nothing to eat. While the shop refunded me the sandwich price, I still had to pay delivery as well delivery for Jersey Mikes which I ordered instead. Because someone decided to add chicken to my grilled cheese (I don't know if the person thought this would be funny or they just couldn't read the instructions) this has been quite expensive just to get a sandwich. I will not order from this Potbellies again and I will stick to the one in downtown Naperville. I have never had this issue with that store. read more

Placed a large catering order. None of my instructions were followed including separately bagging the meat and veggie sandwiches. Sandwiches were sloppily made with sauces dripping and some of the wrapper being wet. Sandwiches tasted horrible. Specific instructions about toppings/fillings were not followed. The staff are way too casual referring to customers as "yo", "buddy" and "howdy man". This could be because they are located close to a college (IIT Wheaton), and they think all customers are students. I would think their corporate would have trained them to be more professional, regardless of where the store is located. Complained to the store manager--from his body language, he did not seem to care. Escalated complaint to area manager. Area manager did not even bother to call back or reply to email. So much for customer service. Since I have visited only this location so far, I will give them the benefit of doubt and visit another location to see if there is any difference in customer service. Maybe I should not judge Potbellys by just this one lackluster location. But I will not go to this location again or order from this location again. read more
