I had some of their cajun pasta and calamari, both were quite small serving sizes for their price. What put me off was adding shrimp to the pasta for 5.99 only to be given exactly five pieces of shrimp. The pasta had nothing cajun about it and served on a big plate to look bigger than it is, far too big for the small table! The pasta itself was nice, however it tasted like grocery store jar alfredo sauce. And the restaurant had far too loud music for so little people there, couldn't even talk properly to the server or family despite sitting so close on a tiny table. Would not recommend

A…read morelong time ago, in my mid to late 20s era, we would order seafood boil for Father's Day so this was very nostalgic for me. I've seen the sign for Sea Shack from Route 59 and finally got to try it when my sister was visiting Naperville. I called in an order and it was ready in 15 minutes. What we ordered for 3 adults: 1 lb peeled shrimp, mild, + corn + potatoes 1 lb black mussels, mild, + corn + potatoes 1 lb clams, mild 1 corn on the side 1 sausage on the side onion rings chicken tenders and fries 2 orders of rice We had plenty of food and enough for leftovers. My favorite part might be the cajun butter sauce with white rice... even more than the seafood. I love white rice with basically any sauce. The food was fresh, the sauce was mild as requested, still flavorful and not too salty. If you order the clams on its own, no sides, the bag might seem a little small but that's just because the clam meat is so small. For takeout, your seafood will come double bagged so it was leak proof. We decided to empty the bags into bowls since we were doing family style, and it was a hearty meal. I can't comment on the ambiance since it was a takeout order, but we enjoyed our food. We'll be back!

Today was a good experience. I just worked out and called to ask about the dress code. No dress code, I'll be right there! I walked in and was greeted immediately and sat at the bar. The bartender was attentive and gave me time to decide without feeling rushed even as I changed my mind a couple times. I ordered the salmon and Mad Rose to drink. The drink has a lot going on and wasn't for me. It reminded me of a cinnamon orange tea, citrus and spicy. For dinner, I waffled on a couple fish dishes, but went with the salmon. It has a nice, crunchy glaze on it with some nice citrus flavors that weren't overbearing. I wasn't sure how the risotto would taste with the orange, but it worked. I was asked several times how I was doing and how my drinks and food were. Dining solo, I get ignored at times with subpar service. Not tonight access I appreciate that. I would recommend based on service and the dish I had. I will return to try more.

I ordered from Entourage Downers Grove and was honestly impressed with how well everything held up for delivery. The standout for me was the lobster bisque. It arrived at the perfect temperature, which is pretty impressive for delivery. The bisque was rich and luscious without feeling overly heavy, and the basil oil added a nice brightness that balanced the creaminess beautifully. It also had a generous amount of lobster, including several large chunks, and was a very solid portion overall. The filet mignon sliders were another highlight. Each slider had a substantial piece of filet mignon topped with pickled onions, microgreens, and horseradish cream on brioche buns. The onions and horseradish added enough acidity and bite to balance the richness of the beef without overpowering it. I also tried the Vietnamese summer rolls, filled with roasted shiitake mushrooms, fresh vegetables, and rice noodles, served with both peanut sauce and sweet chili sauce. Everything tasted very fresh, and the sauces complemented the generously stuffed rolls nicely. My only small critique is that cutting them in half made for a prettier presentation, but made them a little awkward to dip and eat. Overall, this was a surprisingly strong delivery experience, and I would absolutely order from them again, or better yet, make it over to the restaurant itself next time I'm in the area.

There is a separate vegan menu with half a dozen things on it, and other than the drinks and desserts, pretty much nothing on the regular menu is vegetarian. (The papaya salad, which is on the vegan menu, is a ringer: it contains fish sauce.) You've got your choice of various fruit lemonades, bubble teas, popping bubble teas, jellies, etc. Desserts include flan, Vietnamese yogurt, coconut jelly - none of which you'll be eating onsite as you'll be too full after your entree. Portions are on the large side - even the papaya salad is a meal. I got the peach lemonade, vegetable spring rolls and the tofu, vegetable and noodles, which turned out to be a soup, basically Vietnamese ramen. The spring rolls are tasty and come with peanut sauce; the vegetable broth was savory with lots of baby bok choy, plenty of noodles and cubes of fried tofu - it was even better with some of the homemade hot sauce, which I highly recommend. The lemonade comes in a bubble tea disposable cup and contains tiny pieces of fruit - very fruity, not very citrusy. Service was friendly and very personable, which helps if you're serving 16 people. All of whom were happy.

I looked up highly rated Vietnamese restaurants and found Tasty House 1 in Carol Stream. This place is everything we anticipated it to be. The location is nice and has parking in front, inside is super spacious and had a relaxing and breathable ambiance. We ordered a family appetizer platter that came with all the delicious Vietnamese appetizers like: spring rolls, bbq marinated meat, fried eggrolls, grilled jumbo shrimp, meat wrapped in betel leaf, lettuce, noodles, cucumbers, cabbage, tomatoes, daikon, jalapeños, two dipping sauces: peanut butter hoisin and Vietnamese fish sauce. Another appetizer we got separately was the fried calamari which had a great crunchy texture, the absolute best! For our entrees I decided to build my own pho and chose tripe, rib eye steak and quail eggs. My husband got the spicy beef noodle soup (Bun Bo Hue). This is honestly the best Vietnamese we've ever had in our lives!!!! I'm so glad I found this place. Awesome service, food and atmosphere. Zero complaints everything was very fresh and perfect. Our hearts left super happy.

Our server, Umberto, was attentive and pleasant and took good care of us; he was the best part of our evening. However, this is the first and last time I'll ever eat at Entourage. They promise "a dining experience" on their website, but I could get the same experience at your average Chili's or TGIFriday's without the pretense. Why do I say that? It's the noise...oh, the noise. There were a few tables with large parties, so it was pretty loud. Even leaning in closely, it was hard for my friend and me to hear each other talk. And the screaming kids were something else, emitting ear-piercing screams that get your attention, for all the wrong reasons. I didn't see any staff ask the large parties to keep it down or ask the parents to manage their children, which I guess I can understand. Large parties = more revenue than a two-top. But we did not - could not - linger after we ate our meals, or order coffee, dessert, and/or an after-dinner drink, because it was just too loud in there.

I had to check this place out. We pooled up and the exterior with the sign is almost whimsical, with curves meeting odd angles and this sign screaming their name. Then upon entering you walk into this curated fine dining atmosphere that is instantly attractive and a little muted when compared to the outside. I found it the perfect balance in design. If you're going to be that bold with the building, the food better match and match it did. We always sit at the bar when it's just the two of us. We find the bartender is normally the most amazing of all the servers. We got Taylor, and that man blew us away. With his perfect drinks and menu knowledge paired with his nice and humble attitude. It was the perfect example of why the bar should always be your destination for all restaurants. I started with 4 Miyagi and 4 Blue Point Oysters. I may be wrong if the other 4 were Blue Point because the Miyagi stole the show for me. All the oysters were presented with cards to make it easy to tell the two apart and were shucked perfectly with only one little piece of shell in one oyster. The brine was retained and the flavor and mouth feel were fresh. My partner went with the Lobster Maki which includes a little show of them torching the butter/marrow mixture out of a bone onto the roll. It was exquisite. Dinner was a hard choice with all their amazing offerings. We went with the Tilefish and the Trout. The Trout was poached in Wagyu Tallow and was served Medium Rare. The tallow added a richness to each bite that paired well with the delicate trout. It was served with a cabbage wedge that will be burned into my memory as the best cabbage I've ever had. The Tilefish was the real star. We've never even heard of Tilefish before, and we will never forget it after. It was a more dense fish that had flavors of a firm whitefish mixed with lobster or crab. They took this amazing fish and they wrapped it in proscuitto de parma and cooked it to perfection. It was served on a the lightest mashed fennel potatoes and a light green salad with a sweet orange dressing. This had to be one of the best things I've ever experienced. Because of our exceptional experience and our 4pm reservation, we decided to get the Bolognaise and Ravioli to go to eat for dinner later that night. We made the right decision, each pasta was so delicious and hit every note we were hoping for. We also stopped in the cute deli in the back before we left and had to get the Two Cannolis to go also. They were the best Cannolis of my life and I need more now. I can't stop thinking about them. The drinks, oh my lord, the drinks! A curated menu that are plays on classic cocktails. You must try the Mediteraean, which is their play on a Gin & Tonic. The gin they use is not the pine tree flavor most cheap gins will give you. Instead you get this nuanced flavor that brings me back to the shores of Spain. It was that good that it teleported me to another place and time. I'm not going to list all of the ones we got in fear to sound like a lush but they were all worthy of their price tag. Finally the price. In today's day and age, Fortunato is keeping it fair and right. You can spend more at a chain sandwich shop then some of their meals cost and flavor wise, there is no comparison. I praise their owner for charging very fairly for everything. They have some very expensive meals, but the expensive meals use expensive ingredients. You have no right complaining about any of the pricing here. They, once, are perfect. As you can tell, I am over the moon with this place. I will be going back time and time again. I have found a Chicago Style restaurant in the heart of the suburbs. This is a destination restaurant. You must go. I will be bringing everyone I know back here. I can not wait to experience more of this amazing menu. Kudos all around!
