Stood waiting for a single burger for 20 minutes while watching the manager and 10 other employees stand around doing nothing, but fill and drink their own drinks. Full kitchen of employees and manager doing nothing, but laughing and staring us down because we were waiting on our single order that they weren't making. Anytime you go through the drive through, they never fill fries, ice cream, or drinks full and you're lucky if you get halfway. Today is used the McDonalds App and ordered the "Big Arch." This may be the best burger I have ever eaten. From the bun to the toppings, I prefer this burger to burgers I've tried in restaurants like Chili's Big Mouth Burger and in my opinion, no other fast food burger compares as well. The environment inside this Wheaton McDonalds is very welcoming, as are the employees. Rich, in particular, is always endlessly patient with the many senior customers that congregate at the restaurant. He knows everyone's order by heart. He's also extremely accommodating to elderly customers with mobility issues, literally bringing their food TO them. If you look up "exemplary" in the dictionary, you'll see a photo of Rich next to the definition! Amanda does a splendid job of balancing a hectic plethora of orders, while still being totally aware of her customers. Her pleasant, upbeat demeanor is a pleasure. Felicia, who is perky and efficient when taking orders, literally appears to have eyes in the back of her head recognizing customers and anticipating their needs. Much of this is a reflection of the management. Instead of being aloof, the managerial employees here are friendly, welcoming and thoughtful. The customer service experience here is what keeps people like me coming back for more! The decor is worth mentioning, as well. Fresh flowers adorn the tables & the ladies room had a stunning arrangement of scented lilies and tulips back in May, with pinecones sprinkled at the base of the vases. This morning (July 6, 2021) I spied the manager enter the restaurant with bouquets of fresh flowers. Later, I witnessed the pretty flowers (arranged in vases now) being sprinkled on the lobby tables. The meticulously clean ladies room was graced with gorgous fresh white flowers filling the air with a lovely scent. The "floral artist" responsible for the displays deserves accolades! The restroom has always been super clean (as is the whole restaurant) but the flowers in there add such an elegant touch. Is this really a fast food restaurant? It looks like a spa to me! Gorgeous. If I could give zero stars I would. Never coming back to this location. They forgot to give me my cheeseburger in my order and didn't give me a receipt. Luckily I had used my app, but even after showing the order receipt they said they didn't have my order on file. Finally after going back and forth with this guy who was so rude the lady in the back finally gave us our food. No apology. Just rudely shoved the food at me. Due to an unforeseen injury today I went here to grab something to eat and I almost never eat here. I placed an app order (which I have done in the past with no issues) I get there and they say I'm "not at the location" and I'm sitting right there and now am supposed to go into the restaurant for help so I do that even though you know I can't really walk and the first employee is clueless and gets the manager who tells me she can't help me and basically oh well so I'm like OK whatever bye!! This used to be your average McDonald's. Used to be not review-worthy. But ever since recent renovations to modernize, I'm a fan of this location. This is one of the many locations that have cashier-less kiosks. I love these, as I don't have to wait in line to order and I can make changes to my order and not hassle an employee with it. If you want the best value out of McDonald's, use the incredible amount of deals they have. When you order at the kiosks, there's a "DEALS" button at the top right when you start your order. Use that to select from their limited time offers or to input a deal from the McDonald's app (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED). Or save the receipt, fill out the two minute survey and get yourself the buy-one-get-one free Big Mac, Quarter Pounder with Cheese, or Egg McMuffin. I personally use the in-app punch card for coffee drinks. You get a free McCafe drink of any size after you get five at full price. Much faster route to free caffeine than Starbucks's reward points system. You can also save money over time just getting a water cup instead of soda/tea/bottled drinks. It's free, and of course, better with the saltiness and sugar content in the food. Since it's McDonald's, don't expect the highest tier food, but it still hits the spot when you're hungry and want it quick and cheap. The never-frozen, cooked to order beef for the Quarter Pounder with cheese is a big step up compared to other burgers. It's a bit saltier, but can tell the beef is definitely better in quality overall. The app usually has a deal where you can get one and get a free medium fries to go along with it. If you get here later in the evening (after eight'ish), they'll often make your McChicken sandwich and McNuggets fresh to order too! So it might take a few minutes longer, but it's noticeable when it's so hot and crispy! It's very easy to overspend here if you're paying full price and just ordering without much thought. Be tactical to save those dollars! Staff here are the friendliest of all the McDonald's I've ever been to. Always Hellos, How are You Doing?, and Thank Yous. Always. The restaurant is also always clean, even the bathrooms, which says a lot. Wasn't always this way, but since the recent renovation, the staff quality here took a huge leap forward, and I'll always prioritize this location because of it. If you're looking for the best burgers and fries and willing to pay extra, you have way too many options to end up here for that (Burger Local downtown or drive out to Oak Brook for Shake Shack). But if you want quicker, much cheaper food, and nice service, this McDonald's is worth the stop in for. read more

Horrible drive-thru customer service! Went there to pick up a quick breakfast this morning with my son. Ordered a sausage egg and cheese biscuit, hash browns and cinnamon melts. They had to confirm my oder multiple times. Get to the pay window and they ask me if I ordered a large coke. Got to the pick up window and they asked me if i ordered 4 large cokes. Pulled up to the the wait-for-drive-through spot and had to wait over 15 minutes (probably longer) for my order. They came out with the wrong order. Wow! This is one McDonald's visit I will never forget! Went in, ordered A big Mac meal and a chicken sandwich. The Cashier tells me that my order total was $48.06.. I looked at her and said that can't be right. And she asks me what should it be? I said I don't know but I know it's not $48.06! She turns to me and says "you have a F****** phone in your pocket why don't you figure it out??" The man behind me steps up and says "how is he supposed to know what the order total is??
