Was out running errands and needed to make a quick stop with the kids. We went into this location for the first time and was surprised by how nice the inside of the store was. It has a nice modern clean look (I mean it's nice for a McDonalds). The employees were so nice to our kids and offered them stickers and took the time to talk to them. They both had a cheeseburger happy meal and this time the fries were good. My husband had a large coffee which is good and only a buck! It was a much better experience than our drive thru experience awhile back. read more

My mom lives right by here so I stopped frequently for the kids or a drink or whatever. Not anymore. The first bad experience we stopped and went in, hoping to get fast service and catch a movie. There were people EVERYWHERE because it was backed up. I watched the guy with dreads and a girl toss one chicken nugget in at a time, not giving a crap that people were standing there. Why we waited, I have NO idea. It had to be a good 25 to 30 minutes. Every single time I've tried to go back it's been backed up and slow. One time the girl at the window actually handed me an old, half drank, warm Coke. DISGUSTING! Get new employees, seriously. Ones that give a damn. read more

Been in the drive thru for over 15 minutes! What gives?!?!? Unfortunately I've already paid or I'd leave like the two cars behind me did. When I finally got to the window to get my food, it was practically thrown at me as the employee ran back before I could complain. So so so bad. The drive thru like was long so my mom decided to run in to grab the two pancakes for my daughter to save time. After 10 min I began texting her. After 20 min I was angry. Went inside and they acted like they had no idea what was happening with the dine in customers. Finally they gave her the order after I came in and told them they were ridiculous. They took her money but never rang up her order. They also messed up an large order of nuggets for another fine in customer. I went through the drive thru today (Sunday) to order lunch at 10:55 am. They told me that they don't serve lunch until 11:00. I asked them to take my order and that we would wait for our meal. The teller got the manager "Jose". He told me that they would not take my order because they were not serving lunch until 11:00. (Two weeks earlier they took my order at 10:52 am with no problems). By this time it was 10:58- (2 minutes till 11:00.) The manager did not listen to anything I was saying, after arguing with me for 5 minutes it was past 11:00. I told him 3 times we would wait for the meal. He was arrogant, and told me he would give me the corporate number to call and complain about the service and then walked away. Of course he didn't give me the phone number. We waited for 20 minutes and got our order incorrect. But at that point he didn't want to have anything to do with me. The service is awful and will never go back to this location. The Glen Ellyn location is much more polite and kind. I am amazed they put someone in charge with such little patience and who lacked the ability to listen to his customers. We were very disappointed!!! read more

I sat in the McDonald's drive thru on a Thursday night (not busy) for 30 min. Not really a big deal, then the guy handing me my drinks and food never made eye contact with me and didn't say a word to me, Still not a huge deal. What really made me mad was the fact that I ordered 2 large fries and got half full large fry containers. If I order a large it's because I want a large amount of fries, not a medium size fry in a large container. This is probably the 3rd time this has happened. Food is average and usually customer service is fine. I can't blame the whole restaurant for one employee. read more

Super friendly staff and(I'm assuming) the owners or managers. They were having a meeting in the corner of the restaurant while I spent a good almost 2 hrs relaxing on my day off. The whole time they made sure to acknowledge their regulars with big smiles and conversation. Staff kept everything clean and delivered orders to tables with big friendly smiles as well. I've never thought of McDonald's as great customer service- fast drive thru is my usual experience but this location knows what they are doing. I really appreciate this since I run a nonprofit coffee shop and play center in the area. Personality and great service is always what community is looking for. I found a hair in my food and honestly I find this super disgusting and careless of the staff. I work a job where I handle food at a drive through and I know the protocols which you need to take to avoid contamination. I saw so many violations of that. According to the State of Illinois food handlers guidelines, "All employees must have their hair tied up if shoulder length, or be wearing a hair/beard net." When I received my food, the lady handing it to me was standing at the window playing with her long hair. And so it fell into my McFlurry. It's seriously not that hard to follow the guidelines. I do it myself and my hair is extremely long. Also involving Covid safe protocols I see non of that. At my job we must wear masks and gloves and wash our hands. But the employee who also got the hair in my food didn't wear gloves either and her mask was hardly on. Don't go here, it is a waste of money and they don't follow Food Handlers protocols. read more

I went through the drive-thru this morning to order a diet coke with a lemon slice in it. When I finally got up to the window to get my drink I noticed the girl placing the lemon in my drink with her bare hands. I politely asked her for another drink and to please use a fork for the lemon, not her hands. Her attitude completely changed. She didn't say a word, poured another drink, then went out of my eyesight (big red flag). I wasn't sure why she went out of my view since everything she needed was right there by the window. When she came back I thanked her, she handed me the drink (still hasn't said a word), and gave me the worst look I think I've ever been given. It truly was a look that told me where I could go. I threw the drink away at the nearest garbage can ~ no way I was drinking that. I called the manager to complain and while he apologized and offered me a free meal (no, thank you) he seemed like he wasn't surprised. We won't be returning to this location. Mind you this is a 4 star for McDonald's Yelp quality. However, even the big guys need a review and not all of them have to be bad. The Wheaton (On Naperville Rd.) McDonalds is one of the best in the area. The food is the food so I judge on service, cleanliness, convenience, speed, atmosphere. This particular McDonald's has a great management team that feels genuine from top to bottom. I once had a bad strip on my Credit card that wouldn't go through and instead of denying me service while I was coming up with a solution, the franchisee I believe (a middle aged black man in a leadership roll) gave me my coffee and oat meal...then instead of asking for me to stop and pay him back, he asked me to stop at a McDonalds in an area a little lesser well off than Wheaton and buy a breakfast or two for someone who needed it. And I did. I am a loyal customer to this McDonalds and see such a difference in class at McDonalds than say Burger king or Wendy's. read more

There is so many fine qualities to point out about this establishment. Where do I begin? It all starts as soon as you wake up in the morning. As you get ready for the day, your groggy mind starts to ache as you crave your severe addiction to caffeine. You get in your car, and kick away the empty boxes of happy meals that littered the floor. Your mind goes on autopilot as it drives to the only home that it knows - McDonald's on S Naperville Road. You pull into the parking lot, and can already smell the delicious smell of grease and fake meat from the outside of the restaurant. It makes you even hungrier. Even if you aren't hungry, the 20 minute wait to order will be sure to get that stomach grumbling. Let's not put that in a negative aspect though, I am sure the staff is working as hard as they can to ensure the quality of my food and maintain the management of the fine restaurant that many call home. You have to catch your breath after hearing the McDonald's® 2 for $5 deal is back. After what feels like ages, you receive your meal. You go to fill up your drink, where you are faced with the decision between thousands of drinks, with their fancy soda fountain dispensary. You open up your piping hot bag of deliciousness. A quarter pounder with a side of..... WHAT? This is not the meal that you've ordered! Yet, the staff has been so generous as to give you an even better meal than the one that you paid for. The juicy, undercooked burger melts into your mouth as you take a bite. The sweaty bun is soft, yet so angelic, it feels like biting a cloud of air. Just another way that the staff looks out for you. Ronald McDonald, the man himself, always ensures the happiness of his customers. He is even nice enough to house the homeless in his restaurants. What other billionaire mascot is kind enough to open their home in such a manner? Although they might freak you out initially, plenty of them give great advice! This establishment opened up many new aspects to my life, and for that sole reason, I will be reserving this restaurant as a venue for my upcoming wedding.
