I checked out the website, and was impressed enough to stop in. I was greeted by Kathy, one of the co-owners. She was genuine & friendly, informative and not pushy. I felt very comfortable asking her questions, and it was clear to me that she knew her products. She gave me generous samples of some Dr. Haushka products (which I'm super excited to try) and I purchased some hair care products. I'm so glad I stopped in - it was a much more personal experience than shopping for natural products online or at Whole Foods. I will definitely be back!

I went in to Crush Nails in Shrewsbury for a Dazzle Dry pedicure as a last resort last week because…read moreall other spa appointments elsewhere were booked for the time frame I needed. I say last resort because, I had visted Crush Nails several times before when it first opened a few years ago (2022) and stopped going because of inexperienced aestheticians who filed my nails down too far; however, everyone then under the original owner was very welcoming and the spa was beautiful inside, very clean and zen like with herbal teas offered, soaps, jewelry, clothing, etc. They were attentive to making the client feel special and a bit pampered. I really liked the vibe and mindset, but not the inexperienced services (3-4) / raw skin on the tops of my toes from filing down too far. This last visit (June 30, 2025), once I walked in, I knew something was further off as the vibe has totally changed: no tea, more cluttered and disorganized throughout the salon, very few clients (1 aside from myself), a chipped/dirty nail sample board, and lack of communication between client and nail tech. When I chose the color/s I wanted for a dazzle dry pedicure, I was told they didn't have those colors... A manager who had significantly better communication skills came over and tried her best to accommodate my color selection, but the colors just weren't there. At that point, I just wanted to leave and settled for a neutral color that I didn't really like as my 1 hr. appointment had turned into 1 hr 40 minutes and the other issues. (Again, all I had for a service was a standard pedicure w/ Dazzle Dry.) I would also agree with the other reviewers that the chairs were quite uncomfortable. Finally, the nail tech did a great job on the nail prep and massage; however, the application of the polish was not acceptable. (See photos below)

Imagine this place was built just a few years after our country first began in 1776. It was formerly a General Store, School & Post Office. It was purchased & moved to this location by Henry Ford. Yes that Henry Ford of the Ford Motor Company. The foundation of the building was made from huge boulders dug up from the grounds, & the basement is supported by pillars made out of huge tree trunks. There is a secret located in the cellar. The stairs are hand carved from logs & the steps are joined together with wooden pegs. Mr. Ford had a way to detect burglars that predated burger alarms. What Henry did was to loosen the pegs in every third stair so they creaked. When someone stepped on them that would signal that a burglar was climbing the stairs.
