AN ABSOLUTELY MUST DO! 5 STARS! It's Time to jump into The TimeMobile & scour the Earth & take you…read moreto places from a different time that you won't believe still exist. We have set the dial to the 1700's in the town of Marlborough MA. The Wayside Country Store combines 2 PLACES IN ONE. THERE'S AN OLD FASHIONED COUNTRY GENERAL STORE THAT DATES BACK TO THE 1700s THAT HENRY FORD ONCE OWNED & AN UNBELIEVABLE CANDY STORE! OMG! YOU'LL THINK YOU DIED & WENT TO CANDY HEAVEN IN HERE! A REAL LIFE WILLY WONKA CHOCOLATE CANDY PLACE & GENERAL STORE TOO! Wayside Country Store is one of America's Secret Hidden Gems that most people have never heard of before or visited. There are Secrets within these walls which I will let you in on. The shop is located just an hour outside of Boston & The Parking here is FREE! 1) THE CANDY STORE If you Love Candy then Wayside Country Store in Marlborough MA. has to be on your Bucket List! They stock Every conceivable kind of Candy in here. They have not 1 but 3 of the Top Chocolatiers from the US, Penny Candy, Retro Candy, a Huge M&M Dispenser & a Huge Jelly Belly Dispenser plus regional Candy & Oodles & Oodles of Loose Candy in glass containers too. It's all under one roof. AAAAAAMAZING! They carry 3 of some of the Best Chocolatiers in the Country. They have Winfrey Fudge & Candy from Rowley MA, Dante's Confections in Billerica MA, & Ashers Chocolates from Soudertown Pennsylvania all under one Roof. If you are not familiar with these 3 chocolaters; they are similar in quality to let's say See's Candy in California but they are different. They carry Candy that you didn't know they still make anymore from Skybar, to Charms, to Bononmo's Turkish Taffy, Necco Wafers, Razzles, Mary Janes & dozens more. They also carry Maple Leaf Candies made out of real Maple Syrup, Salt Water Taffy, Chocolate Covered Pretzels & Pez too. They stock these Retro Boxes from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s & all the Candy that's inside are a medley of some of the most popular candies from that decade all in 1 box. This is a great gift for someone who was born in those decades or is a fan of that era. They also have a Cool Retro Metallic Cash Register. It looks like it's Vintage but it's Digital made by National Cash Register for their 100th Anniversary. Talk about Eye Candy! 2)THE COUNTRY GENERAL STORE. Long Aisles of unique, quirky, Retro reproduced, handmade, local, & modern products & vintage memorabilia & pieces all intermingled in this treasure trove of goods & food products & Retro Sodas in glass bottles. They have so many Cool items in here. Be sure to check out the Black Pot Belly Stove that they still use for heat. You have to scour every single square inch of this place or you might miss out on something good. Take a look out the window & see the water that's behind the building. Better yet go down & see the wildlife & the picturesque Hager Pond that sits right behind the store. 3)The Building The structure was built in 1790 in Sudbury Center. Imagine this place was built just a few years after our country first began in 1776. It was formerly a General Store, School & Post Office. It was purchased & moved to this location by Henry Ford. Yes that Henry Ford of the Ford Motor Company. The foundation of the building was made from huge boulders dug up from the grounds, & the basement is supported by pillars made out of huge tree trunks. There is a secret located in the cellar. The stairs are hand carved from logs & the steps are joined together with wooden pegs. Mr. Ford had a way to detect burglars that predated burger alarms. What Henry did was to loosen the pegs in every third stair so they creaked. When someone stepped on them that would signal that a burglar was climbing the stairs. The Exterior Sign Reads" The Historic Site of Hagar's Mill Dam in 1929. This making it the Best Country Store by a Dam Site". Have Fun Shopping & Dessert Eating in Candy Heaven in here! LOL! There are lots of Cool things to do in the area including the next town over in Sudbury for a whole day of inexpensive fun! Other Fun things to do include The Sudbury Grist Mill pack a Cooler & have a Great picnic at this beautiful location with a Waterfall & exercise along the paths, Historic Longfellow Wayside Inn & Restaurant in Sudbury, The Chapel, The Skybar Store & Chocolate Manufacturing Plant, Debbie's Drive Thru Coffee Etc ( formerly a Fotomat Booth) & then check out some of the local restaurants too. Check out my individual review of each. You can spend the entire day here in Sudbury/ Marlborough with lots of Free & Inexpensive Things to do. Woah! Have an Incredible Day of Fun! It used to be, you had to have Mega Bucks & be really Rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like a King on a Limited Budget!

The prices…read morewere a little high due to when I looked at the owala website and saw it for 30$ and ended up paying 40$ at the paper store. I was also at the paper store to buy a dear friend of mine a birthday gift. I ended up not finding anything she would like but a member of the staff helped try to find something for her and were very respectful.

I have been a loyal customer of 'The Paper Store' for a while now. I have always had great…read moreexperiences with their customer service and have never been disappointed with the business. However, today at a particular location, I had an unpleasant experience. Out of all the 'Paper Store' locations I have visited, I have never been profiled as someone who might steal. I had only come to this store to look at Pura Vida and JellyCats. Despite this, one of the associates told me that I had to leave my Pura Vida jewelry at the front counter. As I walked over to the JellyCats section, another associate approached me as if I was going to steal the jewelry. This made me feel disrespected and uncomfortable. When I entered the store and went to the jewelry section, I felt like all eyes were on me as if I was going to do something illegal. So, if you plan to look at jewelry in this location, be prepared for them to assume you're going to steal it. Just to clarify, I have been to multiple "Paper Store" locations and I've NEVER been asked to place my items at the front counter while I continued to browse. I won't be coming back to this location.
