fantastic iced maple latte, outstanding community space, and social-justice forward so you know you're supporting an ethical coffee shop. plenty of tables for working, both indoor and outdoor. highly recommend!!

Stopped by on a weekday to get some work done. There were still a few seats available when I arrived. I got a maple latte. The coffee was okay. It was a bit sweeter than I would've liked. There are plenty of tables. There's free wifi, and there is a restroom that is clean. Not a lot of outlets though, so if you plan to work on your laptop, make sure it's fully charged before you go. Staff are nice. They brought the drink to me. Prices are fair.

They have a small hole in the wall kinda feel with their stand/cafe entrance. I got a medium iced mocha latte subbed with oat milk this past weekend. It was a dreamy blend of bittersweet and just the right amount of caffeine to kick off the day. This was around noon time and there was no wait at all, but other people lounged around or lined up after us. They donate all their tips to charity, so they're folks who think about the community. They are very open to personalizing and customizing drinks to your tastes too. They're living up to their good ratings, and I'll definitely stop by to try other drinks when I'm back in Brooklyn next.

Started a lazy autumn Saturday drinking a fresh latte on the sidewalk, watching the dogs go by from the outdoor seating. Coffee was prepared quickly and even had a quick cute foam art. I will definitely have to add this to the top of my weekend coffee options in the neighborhood.

Maple latte was delicious as was the breakfast sandwich in a croissant! The croissant is flaky and perfectly buttery and eggs are freshly made! The only complaint was I feel like the cheese wasn't melted enough because it wasn't giving that nice stretch when you eat it. All in all tho, I'd come back here! The workers are sweet as well and there's a Gowanus Community Fridge there too which I thought was pretty great!

BEST COFFEE SHOP FOR WORK! Fast WiFi, wall outlets for over half of the tables, excellent coffee and pastries are all you need to get your work done. The owners clearly put a lot of attention to details. Coffee and pastries are fresh and very tasty. You won't find much more beyond that except for some water or juice (There's no kitchen) but it's great. If you can't find a seat when you come in, there is an area below for about 12 people, where they have some board games and books in case you want to have some fun with your children. Speaking of children, although I didn't see any during my visit, I did notice that the bathroom has a little station for changing diapers. This speaks volumes of the focus they have on serving their customers and ensuring a pleasant experience. Since I just had breakfast I could only order a MOCHA ($4.75)... Twice though. It was SO GOOD! My buddy ordered the Flat White ($3.25) and he said it was good. We paid $1 USD for bottles of water, which tells me "This is the minimum we could charge!". Top this with an AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE with BIG SMILES and it made it really hard for us to leave the place, but we had to. Great experience overall, definitely will come back!

I love this cozy little cafe! They also make the best cappuccino in the area! This is my neighborhood cafe and let me tell you it's really charming. Fits the definition of hygge I think its a good place to do some work since its pretty quiet in here Seriously great atmosphere for a coffee shop and I love coming here and the service is always great Cute little spot

Cute lil semi-hidden cafe just off 5th (& 6th I think) Park Slope! Adding it to my spots! Owner, Brad seems very nice! Sidewalk seating.

You must have the Brussels sprouts!! I'd go back for those in a minute! I very much enjoyed my salmon dish. Lovely presentation and preparation but portion a bit small. However, the Brussels sprouts were so generous portion that even after sharing there was "take home" for us. The chocolate mousse was extraordinary! I don't even want to know the calorie count - but worth it!! My one negative was the chill of the Cabernet Yes, I know that's the trend but personally I prefer room temp especially in cold weather The restaurant owner was gracious, staff actually charming and accommodating We are recommending this place to family and friends and plan to return especially when going to BAM ENJOY!!

Walked in and was able to get a seat without reservation, but it definitely filled up by 6/7 pm. The place is dimly lit and the tables are quite small. For the food, we got their Brussel sprouts, shrimp, salmon entree and chicken entree. Our favorite were definitely the shrimp. But everything else when eaten together tasted a bit too greasy and felt monotonous in terms of flavor. Brussel sprouts were fried and held to a decent amount of oil, then the addition of tahini made it even more oily. Pan chicken we expected whole pieces of chicken but it was more like a thin chicken cutlet. The salmon came with a cauliflower puree which tasted so rich (with butter), but I couldn't finish it bc it was so rich.

I ordered a single burger and a Sudan spiced peanut butter latte, for ~$15! That's pretty inexpensive for New York City. I note this as some consider it overpriced. I suppose the food is fairly inexpensive, the lattes slightly higher than average. The "burger" comes wrapped in a homemade pita with diced cucumber, onion, and tomato, plus a few crispy, thick-cut fries and a yummy house sauce. It was a cool twist of the traditional burger and had a nice flavor. The sauce was like a slightly Mediterranean version of Big Mac sauce. The girl working as the barista and cashier was very nice and friendly. She had a nice presence and warm smile, made suggestions, and even gave a stranger free utensils when they popped on to ask. I think it's definitely worth checking out, and it's a good place for a cheap & simple meal that's still quirky and fun.

Perhaps I should have anticipated that, or my mistake in ordering. I also ordered a Moroccan egg salad sandwich which was substantive but surprisingly bland--sparse with the advertised capers and pickled red onions to give it more punch. I've always loved the look of the spot and the vibe--funky decor, outside and indoor facing counters to order, with some outdoor seating for people watching on Dekalb or heading nearby Ft. Greene Park. I see they are renovating and rebranding a bit and adding some burger component. While I didn't love it, I'd definitely give it another shot.
