I've recently had a really disappointing experience with this location. My packages were being forwarded here by USPS since I had a change of address, but unfortunately, they didn't include my PO Box number (i've received packages forwarded from this vendor previously without an issue.) Instead of checking or asking, the staff just returned them without even reaching out -- including some pre-orders that I now can't reorder. What's frustrating is that this has never been an issue before. The usual staff have always been great, attentive, and helpful. But lately, since the older lady started handling things, it's been a different experience -- less communication and more issues with returned packages. I'd just recommend keeping an eye on this if you're expecting packages here. A simple confirmation or courtesy call could save a lot of trouble for customers. read more

They were very helpful when i was sending my passport renewal. Logan was extremely patient and took about 6 photos for me to decide on! And he was nice about me being super indecisive, like should i smile or not smile, hmmm.. in the end i was happy with the result! read more

Postal Annex near Aborn was one of the only shops open to have to complete the arduous and hopeless outdated task of sending a fax to Kaiser Permanente. It was a blessing on this New Year's Eve to help me send something after so many other stores were shut, including a UPS store, where about 20 people came up in a span of 30 minutes, looking to post items or conduct other kinds of business. The staff at Postal Annex were absolutely lovely and so helpful. I'm very grateful and give them a hearty recommendation. read more

Great customer service was received from Maha for international notary and mailing out of country. She accommodated my need for a chair due to my knee issues. They actually answer the phone there. This will be my new go to place for Notary and mailing. read more

Helpful staff, but what a ripoff. Go here if you have no other choice, but expect to pay double what USPS charges to ship via Postal Annex by USPS. I prepared a rush package for the UK (their charge, $183) here in a Saturday afternoon after USPS offices were closed and was told it would not depart until Monday. Learned that USPS at Eastridge Mall was open until 7:00 pm so took it there, and was told the package would only cost $93 there. Live and learn. Live and learn. read more

I did my Live Scan here. They did it pretty quick. The Live Scan only lasted for less than 5 minutes. The staff are very nice and kind people. It's a small place but it feels very comfortable because of its employees. read more

Maha is awesome! I came here to take my passport photos and she was so patient. I was in and out after 30 minutes.

I just called in to check if they can do passport photos for toddlers and they said yes. I understand it could be very difficult but they were so nice and patience. I'm a pleased with the service and kindness here. Kudos to you guys and thank you again!!!! read more

Great place to have an extra mailbox for my business. They email me when I have new mail and the workers are great! Appreciate them!

I've been using the mailbox service here for over 3 years and have consistently had exceptional service. I receive a lot of packages, and they make it so convenient to pick them up. When I walk in, I hear a "hi Crystal" usually from Maha or Kia. It's nice to be known by name! Great service, exceptional staff and convenient location for me! read more

Such a convenient place to bring all my USPS and FedEx packages! The staff here move quickly and efficiently, always give me a receipt and most importantly they are always very friendly! I've sent return packages, new packages (some that already had a label and others that needed a label created), bought stamps and mailed certified mail. Anytime a label is created for me, they double check addresses and confirm everything is correct. I never leave worried about my packages, which is more than I can say about other places. *Covid Related Material -- there is usually a max of two customers inside and the rest wait outside for their turn. One time I didn't even have to go inside, they were taking packages at the door. read more

Found my local FedEx shipper! They're enforcing respectable COViD practices for a quick and painless drop-off With receipt! (ALWAYS ask for a receipt) "Thank you for your business" as the transaction was done--something you don't hear from the first-hand stores who could give two sh*ts about your package. Go support; especially during a shopping season that can't afford us to give gifts in person, PA+ is it. read more

Great service!!!!!! Highly recommend. Busy at times but always friendly. Parking lot has often been full when I've gone but worth it

Great customer service !! Staff is so nice and always greet you with a smile and are able to provide answers to all your shipping questions.

For me, this place serves it's purpose. If I have to ship something via FeEx, or UPS, this is where I go. It is somewhat hidden, so you very rarely see a line or a crowd of people. This works pefectly for me, as I am not too fond of waiting in a line just to drop off a package. Each of the employees I've interacted with are very friendly and knowledgeable. It doesn't look like they stock too many items other than your shipping necessities. But that's really all you need right? Again, back to my statement, this place serves it's purpose! Side note: The restaurant next this place makes good Sweedish Pancakes that are pinkish red. How does this relate? IT DOESN'T! But maybe you can try em' after you drop off your package. :) Conclusion: Shipping, packaging, FedEx, UPS, snail mail - This is my "Go To" place! read more

Maha and Zain - absolutely stellar customer service! Both were consistently patient and considerate. Spoke politely and courteously. Not just with me but with other customers, their staff, their partners (FedEx and USPS drivers). I believe they had coffees for their FedEx drivers. Such a pleasant experience. Maha and Zain seemed like high school or college going kids and that's why their parents deserve tremendous kudos. My experience was earlier today on Christmas Eve around 12:50 pm when they were scheduled to close at 1 pm. Family run business with great service to the customer. I will make sure to make this my default place for FedEx and UPS. Thanks guys! read more

Pretty sure this place lost or threw away my package. This was my first and LAST time using this place as a USPS drop off location. I dropped it off and handed my package off to an employee. I watched him move it to a corner table in the store. I kept an eye on the tracking number and it didn't move for weeks. Now I'm out $250 dollars because they don't know what happened. I should've dropped it off at a REAL USPS location or the Walgreens location. Their employees don't really care about customers. BTW they charge extra if your item is not "fully packaged" like if you don't have the right amount of tape. Don't come here. They lost my package on the first visit. Go to a real post office not this one where they charge more than a regular USPS/Fedex would. read more

I have been using their services for over 10 years and I have been super impressed with friendly and very supportive staff. Definitely recommend them for your business needs. read more

Very good service. We were there for passport renewal and were given excellent advice.

I am writing this to let everyone know how satisfied I am with Postal Annex. I've been going there about 4 years now and the experience is over the top. It's truly a family atmosphere. I've had different services rendered such as making copies, faxes, wedding invitation cards, have mailed different packages and bought different supplies. The whole team is great first and foremost Maha, she's always dependable very professional and she always has a nice phrase or quote to lighten up your day. Kia, is so funny she will keep you laughing from the time you walk in until the time you leave. Sincerely David, (One of your favorite customers) read more

This is a great postal annex. The service is superb! The staff is very professional giving confidence the all you mailing needs are taken care of without worry. They are warm and personable, know my name and my box number and always ask me about my day! They seem to genuinely care. They also go the extra mile emailing me when I have mail The notary service is a plus. . In a few words..... Helpful, supportive, positive! I am so thankful to have service today with a business that cares! I would recommend this business for anyone. read more

I have lived in San Jose for 12 years. The UPS store is closer to our home of directly to the USPS. One day, I received a letter from PostalAnnex about stopping down for a free gift. I did it and they gave me a tape measure, which was nice, but I also noticed the professional manner in which the PostalAnnex staff treated their customers, so I moved my business to PostalAnnex. I have been going there often over the last few years to deal with not only domestic shipping but also international shipping as well and office material needed and so on. PostalAnnex entire team whether it is Maha, Kia, Zohaib, or Zain have done a fantastic job with all of my needs and highly reccomend them to anyone in need of their services. Chad read more

I have used the Postal Annex quite a bit for my administrative needs including: copies, mailing, and public notary. Lorena and Jen offer excellent customer service consistently. They are personable and on it! I imagine that their employers value them greatly! read more

The staff here are friendly, and the service is very good. The only reason for a poor rating of "Could've been better" is because of the money grabbing, price gouging fees. I was going to this place for about 6 months before I eventually realized I was being "taxed" for everything I did there. I'm suprised they didnt charge me a fee for using their pen. I kid you not. This place charges you to drop off normal UPS, FEDX , and 1st class mail letters and packages. Yes, there is a fee to use and drop off packages when you ship from their store! I've never heard of that before. I haven't been there in a while, so I dont know in fairness if they still do that or not. Here's the catcher! If you need a little tape on your package, which of course they always say you need to re inforce it, they literally charge you for tape by the strip! I went in to send a package out that had paid postage already, and some how I walked out of there being charged $3 bucks!! I guess I couldn't just tape the address to the box, I needed a packing slip sticker to insert it. I mean it just seemed to me I was getting nickeled and dimed to death. Oh yeah, and I had no cash, so I had to use my atm, they charged me $1.00 for using my card to pay the $3 bucks! It is hands down, the most expensive place for shipping in San Jose. The Positive side: However, the staff was always professional and nice to me. They do have an amazing staff there, so that has to count for something. It is a convenient way to ship if you don't want to stand in long lines at UPS. read more

Maha, Kia, Zohaib, and Zain are all great to deal with. No matter what my need, they have a solution. Postal Annex should use their store as a training center. Thanks to all! read more

If I could rate them lower I would. One the cost was extraordinarily high almost a thousand dollars for 6 boxes. 5 boxes made it one has been lost for over a month they have no clue what happened. Also I did all the packing my boxes were new and wow they showed up like someone had kicked them and threw the absolutely no care whatsoever if you can fine some alternate way to ship your things. read more

What can I say about Maha & Zain? They were lifesavers. I urgently needed to help switch out a FedEx label from a package I just dropped off. Did not have high hopes that this can be done without me going back to the center. Well, Zain & Maha came to the rescue. I emailed them a new label and they took care of everything else. Package got there perfectly. I was a customer before now I am a loyal customer of this PosatAnnex center. Thank You! read more

It's close, that's what counts. Want to know why people hate sending letters, because it takes so long. There were only 3 other customers in line here and it took 20 minutes for me to get to the counter. On the flip side of that the guy working here was super polite and attentive to my needs. That totally makes up for the time lag for me. All in all I recommend this place for all your shipping needs. read more

I had a wonderful experience here getting a few legal documents notarized. The notary process doesn't take long, but my grandma was really hungry and was growing impatient.
