I've always had a good experience here at the postal annex. They offer packing and shipping services and are authorized for FedEx, UPS, and USPS. They do have post office boxes for rent as well. As I said, I've always had a good experience here. Everyone who's helped me out has always been super helpful. The line always moves quickly in my experience. Never had any issues there. The parking lot isn't ideal because it is shared with both staples, Safeway, as well as all the other businesses in this little strip mall. But again, the service that you get at the postal annex itself I think is great. So definitely worth checking out. They also offer notary services. read more

I submitted 3 Pilsner beer glasses to be packed & shipped. I only received 1 undamaged. The other two were shattered. Upon closer inspection, the packaging was horrible. No wonder they broke. Glad I bought insurance. If you're going to use this place, do the packaging yourself, or go elsewhere. Not greeted or acknowledged as the cashier did the entire order for an unprepared customer and instead made me wait for the other cashier to get off a phone call before she asked if she could help me only to tell me that they couldn't do fed ex bar codes in the store. Had I had been greeted properly I would have had a moment to ask before a complete waste of time. read more

Janna made it clear that she was too busy to help either me or her completely untrained employee. Last time I was in there was an unpleasant experience with Janna as well, as she was on the phone the entire time and impatient with my not being able to tell if she was talking to me or whoever she was on the phone with. Be very careful about using this location! Although I'm not accusing anyone outright of felony theft, gross negligence is no excuse. In June 2024. the clerk took possession of my package (an expensive watch) and knew it was going to MTM Watch in Los Angeles, CA.. I've been very patient working with Janna at the location because she speculated it was accidentally thrown in to the USPS bin and not the UPS bin. Approximately one month later, there is still no record of the United Parcel Service having possession of the package Furthermore, there is no record that the package having ever entered the UPS system. The last time the package was seen was when I handed it to the clerk at the counter, and there is no record that the package ever left the location. I've been very patient throughout this process, however this business has no integrity, and even though the owner admits that their staff made a mistake of gross negligence, they will not make it right with the customer. Fortunately for me, I'm in a situation where I can just go out and buy another watch (although this was an engraved retirement gift), but that's not the point. Based on a lack of principal and integrity, it's not worth, the risk to the consumer. My advice is to find another location that's more principled, competent and caring to do the right thing. read more

Fees for box renters make it too expensive. The staff are friendly and generally knowledgable. I loved Postal Annex and had been a customer for almost a decade. It was always nice to see the familiar, friendly faces of the staff when I stopped in to pick up my mail. Sadly, this location has gone downhill with reduced weekend hours, and now adding microtransactions for box renters. I didn't mind paying 35% over the market rate for a box, because their location was convenient to me and I liked the employees. But they just (Effective May 2022, per the flyer they handed out) started introducing microtransactions for receiving packages. Fees of up to $20 for every package received. Then on top of that, an additional $1-$10 per day to hold a package for more than 2 days. I asked around and was recommended a different place for box rental. The location is far less convenient, but they charge the market rate for a box (35% less than Postal Annex), with 24/7 access, and no fees for receiving packages unless you receive more than 15 in a month. And the new place texts you a picture of every package received so you know exactly when something arrived and is ready for pickup! That's a convenience Postal Annex never offered, despite their high prices and new fees. read more

There's one guy in particular that works here that is a little strange. He was super sarcastic with me about a package I tried to send out after asking him what the best shipping method would be. Then on a separate occasion I went in with a package and I even gave a very friendly "Hi!" to him right as I walked through the door. He didn't say anything the whole time I was in there except for when I left. Instead he just stared at me like I was interrupting his day. Customer service is everything to me and so I was a little upset with his demeanor. This particular location is very close to my work so it's convenient when I need to run errands on my lunch break, but now I'd rather go a little out of the way and use the location on 95 by Walmart. read more

Last time I went here they tried to over charge me and I knew it so I went to the post office, almost half the price. I asked my husband to drop off a package for me on Tuesday. I sent the exact same package, with the exact same contents to the exact same address two weeks ago. Post Office $4.75, Postal Annex $8.60. AND! three days later it has not even left Coeur d'Alene. It took only 4 days from the post office to get to that destination last time. NEVER AGAIN! read more

The service in store was good and I left happy. Unfortunately they actually did not charge enough postage so each recipient owed 30 cents before they could receive their item. So frustrating. read more

Worst customer service I have ever received in a small business, if I could give 0 stars I would!. I had to ship some prescription medication to my grandfather who went out of town for an emergency and ended up staying longer than expected. I made it VERY clear to the employee that I had to do overnight or two day -- she ensured me 2 day was the best choice (now to be clear this employee was very friendly). I sent it on a Wednesday - got on to check and now it is saying expected delivery is Monday.... 5 DAYS!!! I called this morning to see if there was anything we could do and got another employee who to start of with hardly speaks any English and repeatedly tells me she "doesn't understand me and she doesn't speak English good". After explaining the situation several times she then BLAMES ME that I didn't explain to the other employee what I needed, which is absolutely false - the other employee knew exactly the circumstance. I was appalled and asked to speak to someone else; she told me the owner gets in later and would call me back. I asked for the owners name so I could call and request to speak to him later and she proceeded to tell me he would just call me later and then hung up on me! Talk about piss poor customer service. I fully understand with COVID and employee shortages that shipping may have been delayed or whatever but to blame me then raise her voice at me and hang up --- worst customer service ever and I will never go there again and would highly recommend to anyone to choose another business here in town to use for your shipping needs. read more

I have been a Postal Annex Customer for going in two years and have found their service to be exemplary. After having to work out of state for a considerable period of time, it has been a relief to know when I need my mail forwarded it will be completed on a timely and courteous manner. Saved my butt more than once! Always go here instead of regular post office!! Especially during Christmas, lines are always short, even if they do get long they get through it in no time!! They do it all, stamps, ship, sell boxes, have po boxes... You name it, they probly got it! read more

Decided not to use the Postal Annex due to being a disabled Vet and needed a secure box for prescription's. I work mon-fri 0800 to 1630 in Spokane and would be unable to get to the mail box before they close each day. I opted for a locking mail box at my home. When I call Postal Annex for a refund of the whole year I paid, they stated no they do not give refunds at all. So even if they rent out the same box I paid for I will be losing out on 11 months of rental. Also customer service was very slow and did not even acknowledge that I had been standing there for over 10 minutes. Being a combat disabled vet I think that this business is very poor and advise no one should rent from them. read more

The ownership and management have changed over the years, and service is hit or miss. The hours are short, no 24-hour access to PO boxes like other places in town. Packages are missing regularly when I send someone to pick them up. It's gone downhill over the past year or so. There are better options. read more

This particular branch of Postal Annex is awful. Tried to ship a TV through them. The TV never showed up. I called, and I was told that it was said aside and they didn't know why. They finally shipped it and it showed up completely busted. They literally shipped me broken pieces. I pulled it out and realized that they didn't even send all the broken pieces with it, they clearly broke it before shipping it and then tried to cover it up. I called and tried to sort through the problem and instead of owning up to it they just said there was nothing they could do. We tracked down Postal Annex policies, which state that the insure every package that they ship themselves fully--if they pack it and it breaks, they promise to pay. So I called head quarters, and they called the branch, and the branch manager still decided they would not fix the situation and further that they would not adhere to the company policies. Be warned, this branch should not be trusted. Their lack of integrity and disregard for customer service is appalling. read more
