I was already put off before I even got inside this UPS Store. As I walked up with my package, a sobbing mom and her daughter were walking out, clearly shaken. The mom said she'd just had a bad experience in the store, and seeing her leave in tears immediately made me concerned and wonder what had happened. When I got to the counter with my package, the employee said it needed a quick seal. She told me she could tape it for $2. I wouldn't mind paying that if the box needed tape all over, but this was literally a tiny, 2-3 inch piece of tape just to cover a flap. Goodwill goes a long way, and good businesses make things easy for people, not difficult. That silly, frustrating interaction with an employee who seemed to enjoy making things difficult for people instantly made me understand why the previous customer was so upset. It's not about the $2; it's about an employee/policy that chooses to nickel-and-dime customers for a simple courtesy. I have had multiple negative experiences at this UPS Store location. During one visit, an employee named Erich made the process of picking up my package unnecessarily difficult. He was brisk, unpleasant, and defensive when I inquired about my package. He used an accusatory tone and seemed nervous during our conversation. It appeared that my package had been stolen, as he mentioned that packages delivered via DHL were switched to USPS, which the store does not accept without a mailbox address. This raises concerns about their policies, as it seems employees do not follow procedures, leading to significant issues for customers. My package was signed for at the store, but they claimed it was never received. I had this store pack and ship a fragile item (antique ceramic). At the time of shipment, I stressed the need to please carefully pack the item as I wanted it to arrive at the destination in one piece. A few days later, the item was received in pieces and was essentially destroyed. This was a Christmas gift and the recipient was heartbroken. There were no fragile markings on the box, and it was evident that the bottom of the item had no packing material. In other words this store/shipper was simply negligent. So, I did file a claim, which UPS did pay for the initial declared amount + MOST of the shipping cost (but not the entire amount). I purposely had this store package the item because I wanted to make sure it arrived intact. I will never use this store, and maybe this carrier, for any future deliveries. read more

The UPS Store is the most convenient way to send packages and complete Amazon returns. I like the Coeur d'Alene store because, Treasa, provides outstanding service. Treasa is always fast, efficient, and knowledgeable. She was able to provide shipping options versus cost, notary services, and complete an Amazon return. The line moves quickly, and I am generally in and out in a few minutes. read more

took a package on 1/10/2024 at 9:40 am. wrote every single shipping detail down on a piece of paper, lady not in the green hair processed it. all good until I get into my car and saw part of label missing 2 pieces of vital information. back I go in and wait in line so it can be fixed. I could tell she was irritated. it did get fixed but not a sorry about that or any type of anything. she couldn't care less because it's my time she waisted. The Staff at the 2900 N Govt. Way UPS store in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho is the best we've experienced. Always helpful and usually very friendly. They can get quite busy at times and are patient, friendly, and hustle about to help people as quickly as possible (unlike the local Post Office.) We have used 2 other UPS stores and by far and away this one is the best. read more

If being belittled and talked down to, while conducting your business, is what you're after well then you've come to the right place! I've come here for a variety of reasons over the years and they've done their job, while being mostly competent and professional. However, every time I need something notarized it's been done by Erich, presumably because he's the only one there that can do it. Erich will get the job done but he'll do it in a condescending and exasperated manner, complete with snide comments and the suggestion that you're beneath him or, at the very least, wasting his time. I suppose if the pinnacle of my career was being the notary guy at a regional UPS store I too would take on airs. After all, in order to be a commissioned notary, you do have to be 18, able to read and write, be a citizen and resident of ID, submit and application, pay a $30 fee, and buy yourself a stamp. So well done Erich, kudos to you! Meanwhile, next time I'll take my documents elsewhere to get notarized. Common places to get notarized: banks, realtors, title companies, insurance agents, pawn shops, attorneys, mortgage lenders and just about anywhere someone does business where signatures are required. read more

It is called the post box not mailboxes etc! This is the second time I have stopped into the Post Box. My first attempt at using their service did not work out for me as I needed to send overseas to a military post office. During that first trip in the woman behind the counter was awesome and helpful so I decided I would use their services down the road. Good customer service goes a long way with me. I went in yesterday to mail a couple packages and once again the women working behind the counters were helpful, efficient and knowledgeable. I will absolutely use The Post Box at a latter time for my shipping needs. read more

Dont ever use the UPS pick up option when having something shipped there. After paying 30 dollars in postage to have a package delivered to the store, they charge an additional 5 dollars if you dont have a post office box with them, on top of the amount i paid to have it delivered through the company. read more

Have used this UPS Store even though I live in Post Falls. Never again will I give them my business. Mailed a package from their store that was returned. They did call me to let me know. I told them I would come by and pick it up. Unfortunately, life happens. I had a death in the family and had to leave town for a couple of weeks. The week prior to leaving, I was busy making arrangements. The week after I was busy getting back into the swing of things. I had forgot about the package. I remembered the week after. So, I call them and they said they threw my package away. I really wish, they would have called me and literally said, "We're throwing this out if you don't come in." Instead of just calling and telling me I have a package, they should have told me they were going to get rid of it. I didn't know that. When I called to let them know I was going to come in for my package, and the manager actually told me they threw it away...she kind of giggled and laughed when she apologized. It was the weirdest thing. She was giggling. Another thing I really didn't like about this store is one older lady, short hair, glasses on the tip of her nose sometimes. VERY GRUMPY. Never smiles. Moody. I always hated when she helped me. Personality of a doorknob and a sourpuss. I'm sure they won't miss my business. If you're smart, you won't go there though.
