I just had an uncalled for - nasty verbal attack from 2 women in this Postal Connections store when we stopped briefly to drop off two large pre-paid/pre-labeled FedEx shipments. In a mean and obnoxious, embarrassing and demeaning verbal attack because we parked in the loading zone in front of the store. We were customers of FedEx dropping off PRE-PAID PRE-LABELED cartons to ship which Postal Connections gets paid to receive for FedEx That FedEx is paying them to treat their customers in this manner is beyond my comprehension. The parking is very limited in front of their store, the packages were large and heavy, one was 30 pounds. This would be one of their busiest times just before shippers make their final pickup for the week, resulting in even less parking opportunities. I have a bad back and where we parked was the only place to park. We were there for under 5 minutes and there was an adult in the vehicle, that could easily move our vehicle with a moment's notice. I kept getting interrupted more than once when I tried to explain why and was told rudely each time, "don't park there, ever" I did say that they could be a bit kinder in their delivery and the response was "or, you could just never park there ... ever!" I opened a PMB here because USPS said they wouldn't deliver mail to my home unless I built a communal mailbox for me and five of my neighbors *on* my property. For obvious reasons, I didn't want to do this. As a temporary solution while I worked things out with the USPS, I opened a PMB at Postal Connections. The price was reasonable for a year's worth of service for a small mailbox and package handling service. I ended up working things out with the USPS and technically no longer need the PMB, but I've decided to keep it open for the year because USPS mail forwarding doesn't seem to catch everything and it's really nice to have a place to send packages that I care about where they won't get porch pirated. The folks at Postal Connections have always been friendly, responsive, and quick, too. The store itself is pretty bare compared to some other shipping stores I've been in - mostly just greeting cards and the like - but that doesn't really bother me (and saves me from myself when I want to buy useless knickknacks). I have had two horrible experiences here. I'm not coming back. First, they mailed a letter for me (it was a retirement plan check so super important). It never arrived so I went to see if they could see anything on their computer. They couldn't because I didn't send it tracking. Guess what? It was revived three weeks later and I asked what the post mark was,,it was 5 days before delivery which means they probably lost it and then found it and mailed it. Problem was the check was already cancelled. So I went back (stupid me) and sent the new check via priority mail. It cost blue a fortune and then I found out they mailed it to the same company but to Florida instead of Connecticut, so now it's lost again! This is a large check that must be transferred within 60 days. I'm at day 40. Never using this place again. read more

I've come here for finger printing for work, and for shipping out packages. Gail the owner is very helpful and knowledgeable about shipping. She's helped me numerous times to ship something or to answer a question about shipping. I've had nothing but great encounter's with her and her staff. There have been times when the line is almost out the door and the line goes faster than it would at the post office downtown. I come here for all my shipping needs. read more

THE SHIPPING STORE ALBANY, OREGON BY WALGREENS I went in there to ship a box to my sister that was time sensitive. Cost me $32 to do it two day shipping which I would have paid even more just to get it to my sister within 2 days. They are going to have me ship at FedEx which was fine apparently because it was a PO box they couldn't ship it FedEx so they just took it upon themselves to transfer it to USPS which would have been fine if they would have chose the quicker option instead they chose the slowest possible option and tried to tell me it cost more than the two day shipping through FedEx. So now still waiting for my sister to get her package which is not going to be until next week and they waited 2 days to ship it out also. I went in there today to talk to him even had the voicemail and my receipt and everything and they just said sorry that sucks no compensation no nothing I don't recommend anyone ever going there and I'm going to tell anyone that wants to hear about it telling me that that's not their problem and oh I can contact the postal service and see if I can get them to go faster it was their fault they never called me and asked me if I had a regular address to send it to they just called me and left me a new tracking number when I called them back she said yeah I shifted the quickest one if she would have told me that she still had it in the store and could still ship at FedEx I would have done it. It was supposed to be there two days ago but now it's not going to be there until the 28th. And of course nothing that they can do oops that's pretty much what I got oh well we know who did it but oh well sorry that's the worst customer service ever this is my second issue with them. My first issue I took back some Amazon stuff that had to be shipped back ups and they said I could take it to any UPS place and ship it for free so I took it to them well because I didn't have a box with me they charged me $12 for one freaking box I would have just ran home and got another box but I was in a hurry and that's how they get you. But if it would have been a regular UPS store then I would not have had to pay for the box. $12 for one box. That I let go until now and I've only went in there two times and both times I've had to deal with this stuff of being like oh nothing we can do. These people are unaccountable, cowards, and do not follow through on claims that were made as a result of their recklessness through carriers. After poorly packing a mother's day gift, it was received broken. They filed a claim stating I mailed 'glass bulbs,' what kind of dummy would ship loose glass bulbs across the country? Not me. After fedex denied the claim they told me it was because of postal connections stating the glass bulbs were mailed. I went back there, they would not release MY claim to me and refused to revise the contents of the package. Not only was I out of the $60 they charged me to ship, I had to replace the gift and spend another $60 to ship it. These people are losers and absolute cowards. I went to postal connections to get my finger prints taken. Knowing I was 2 hours early I asked if it was possible to get my fingerprints taken. I straight out asked, is it OK? The girl at the counter rolled her eyes and said, "We were just talking about this." She turned around to walk away, looked over her shoulder and finally said, "come with me." She just had a lot of attitude. Then while she was taking my finger print she basically said nothing to me and when we were done she said, "You can go now", without ever looking at me in the eye. It felt like she was purposely trying to avoid eye contact to be dismissive and rude. I get that I was early but I gave her the option to tell me to come back 3 o'clock and she did not choose that option. So as far as I'm concerned she can drop the attitude. Really outstanding service for a complicated shipping issue. Gail spent an incredible amount of time helping me, calling the DHL office to be sure we did everything according to their specifications, advising me of hidden fees, looking up what the foreign country would allow to come in, and then working and reworking the complicated address. Terrible customer service. The only reason I used them is because they're the closest FieldPrint office to me. However, I would have rather made the extra half an hour to Eugene or Salem and dealt with friendlier staff then deal with the workers here. The girl who "helped" me was completely rude, stand-offish and hardly said two words the entire time. What did come out of her mouth was snide and snarky, not to mention she was aggressively twisting my hand around and trying to get it done as fast as she could instead of accurately. I will be filing a formal complaint with the corporate Postal Connections office. She is unsuitable employee for this position. read more

Tried to ship a small box and was told the cheapest rate was $38. I've had plenty of experience shipping packages and knew that couldn't be right. She said it was because it was a PO Box. I still knew that was wrong. Than she said they didn't have any more flat rate shipping boxes. I paid for the box she had already packaged it in and left. The U.S. Post Office shipped it flat rate, in the same box, for $18. I would suggest using your local Post Office where experienced people know what they're doing. read more

I've been here multiple times to drop off and pick up packages. The workers are nice but the owner, an older woman, is terrible. Whenever I drop off packages (prepaid) and she's there, she's either gossiping with some older person the entire time, completely ignoring me, or she turns around and walks to the back if she has another worker there, completely ignoring me. At first I didn't think anything of it, but after the fifth or so time, I decided that something must be wrong with her. She has never greeted me, even though I am generally friendly and always smile at people I'm interacting with, even if it's just a nod or a "hi." Anyway, I've also picked up packages here at least three times prior to this incident, although never directly talking to her because she was either not there or decided to walk away and hide in the back as soon as I approached the counter. I just show my California driver's license and the UPS slip, get my package, and I'm out, no problem. This time it was a Christmas present sent to my daughter from a friend, which I didn't know about at the time, but the owner (after being called from the back) insisted on a tracking number "per policy," which was inconsistent with my previous experiences, but whatever, I didn't know what tracking to look for because I didn't know what this package was or where it was from. After checking the slip against the package in the back, we realized it was under my daughter's name. She still insisted on a tracking number, which I obviously didn't have since I didn't buy it, wanted proof that I lived at my address but I don't carry my mail around (but a list of all of the Amazon items I've purchased that's been shipped to my address on my iPhone Amazon app was not good enough), then she made some side comment about how I should have had the same last name as my child (funny thing, both my family and husband's family have a tradition of not changing the women's last names after marriage). So I had to call my friend and ask for the tracking number (luckily she was on her lunch break), but she sent the order confirmation email which had my daughter's name and the shipping address, not the tracking, but even THAT was not good enough to prove that I'm not stealing some dumb present while carrying a hungry and cranky baby and toddler, because I have nothing else to do or anything else going on in my life. So I had to call my friend again and ask her to send the tracking, which I felt really bad about because all she wanted was to send my girls some presents and now she has to help me jump through hoops instead of hearing a great big "thank you" for her kindness. Frankly, after this experience (compounded with all my previous encounters), I feel like the owner of this store is just a power tripping misanthrope under a fake veneer who loves gossiping with her buddies but avoids all other interactions unless necessary. She's one of those stubborn people who insists she's right and is operating under "rules" (that she makes) when she feels like it. Instead of working with others to problem solve, she digs her heels in to prove a pointless point, even if it escalates the issue. She's someone who can't work with anyone else, only over them. Thank goodness we're moving and will never have to come here again. read more
