This company has to be one of the worst places ever to ship anything. It cost over $7 for a small 11x9x4 box... $1.29 per sheet of a tiny piece of bubble wrap and they charged $2 labor to put the item in the box with these three pieces of bubble wrap around it. It took them 20 seconds. The cheapest shipping option with tracking for this item that weighed less than a pound in a tiny box was $42 from San Diego to Kansas. Mind you this was for a week timeframe on the delivery. The only reason I went through with shipping it from here was it was a business transaction on a company credit card. This place is ridiculous. Ridiculously overpriced. In addition, the customer service was average at best. Please avoid at all cost! read more

Very disappointed with this Postal Annex location. I returned a package containing about $500 worth of Beyond Yoga clothing and was told USPS would pick it up. They could not provide a USPS receipt but assured me there would be no issue. Now the package is missing. The store says USPS picked it up, while USPS says they never received it. I have reached out multiple times and requested CCTV footage, but have received no response. Losing a $500 package is a serious issue, and the lack of accountability and communication is extremely frustrating. To add to my previous review: Today, I returned another Beyond Yoga package at a different location, and it was scanned immediately. I received a confirmation email from Beyond Yoga right away. This clearly shows that my missing package was not lost in transit -- it was never scanned in the first place. Postal Annex keeps blaming USPS, saying they make mistakes often. However, the package was handed over at this location, and it was their responsibility to ensure proper scanning and documentation. Passing the blame to USPS does not resolve the issue. Customers deserve proper tracking and accountability. read more

Postal annex mission valley is the best out of the 3 postal annex I have dealt with staff is extremely helpful and sweet owner is great as well the service is A1 I have had several issues sending my emails out and they just take there time answering each question showing me the best way to do my business sometimes I feel a little difficult to help I just haven't kept up with all the new ways the internet and the websites do and have to offer but they show me with a smile and that means so much to a 65 plus person I appreciate them thanks again guys you're the best in mission valley for sure read more

Fingerprinting twice for my school was a waste of time here. My school requested ink fingerprints to be sent for review and background checks and were denied both times. Each time I paid around $100 for the service for no reason. When I called to ask for a refund they told me no because it is not their fault the person reviewing it is picky. Seems like they just don't know how to complete the service. Would not recommend this place for ink fingerprinting, go somewhere with more experienced people. read more

i was recently here & usually when i come i spend no more than 10$ to ship a package, whoever the worker was asked me to box my shipment WITHOUT acknowledging that it would cost extra & charged me 30$ and said " well theres nothing i can do about it im going to have to charge you anyways " as a manager you train your employees to LET customers know there would be an upcharge this isnt acceptable. They quoted me 188 to ship a dress. I went to the Fed Ex store and it was 19. So don't even bother with any of these postal annex places.

Charged me $7 for picking up my package same day as delivered. Been to another postal annex and never been charged. Not sure how they can legally have their business as FREE PICK UP as an option on credible websites to order. I was told it's a franchise business so go elsewhere if you don't want to pay their fees. read more

She is always nice and patient and helped me with printing out my portfolio for school/work. She made sure I was happy with the prints and made sure the photo paper was on the quality paper. I had an extremely positive experience with this location. There was a discrepancy with one of our order as we use their services on a monthly basis to send out over 1,000 letter monthly. Linda and another young lady that were there yesterday were very helpful, friendly, understanding and accommodating with my visit to resolve the issue that arose. This location "lost" a $1000 iPad. BEWARE! I recently shipped an iPad back to Apple for repair and used this PostalAnnex location to send the package using a pre-paid FedEx label. I dropped the package off and handed the box to a male employee the Friday before Memorial Day weekend. A few days later, I checked the tracking number and was surprised to see that the package wasn't showing as shipped through FedEx. This concerned me so I called Apple and FedEx to see what was going on. After a half dozen phone calls, I was told to return to PostalAnnex to see if they had any information. Over the next several days, I returned to this PostalAnnex several times and spoke with two employees, a male and a female, who both said there was nothing they could do, that they were not responsible and I would have to call FedEx (which I had already done, several time). Interestingly, this location never told me that they don't claim responsibility for the packages they receive. I've opened an investigation with FedEx, who claims the package was never received by the location. At this point, after a monthly long game of telephone and frustration, I'm left to conclude that the iPad has been "lost". Given that FedEx scans packages upon pickup, this leads me to believe that the iPad disappeared while in possession of the PostalAnnex staff. There are several Google reviews of this same thing happening to other customers and I believe they may have a problem with "sticky fingered" employees. Do not ship anything valuable from this location. Take a few extra minutes and drive to a reputable shipping center that will actually take responsibility for their operations. read more

Highly recommend PostalAnnex For all your postal needs (ups, usps, fedex, DHL) the PostalAnnex is your ONE stop shop. Before I found PostalAnnex I would have to have to figure out what carrier it was and then go to that carrier. Now I go to PostalAnnex and they take care of it! They stole/lost a $100 package I was returning and claim that since I had a prepaid 2 day shipping label they were not responsible...How can you not be responsible if the package was in your hands? I have no idea who linda and peter are, but they sure weren't in the store on the 2 days in a row that I visited. The reason I was back on the 2nd day is because the passport agency rejected the photo taken at this postal annex. The same person was there both days, dark haired middle aged man. When he took the picture, I mentioned that it looked a little wasshed out, over exposed. He was dismissive and told me that's' how they wanted it. Then, the next day at the passport agency, the photo was rejected for being too light. When I returned to the postal annex for a refund, the same person was there, and as dismissive as the day before. At first he didn't even want to give me the refund. Claiming he needed a form from the passport agency stating they rejected the photos. The passport agency never provided or offered any such form. I would never go back into this place in a million years!!! read more

Three ago months, when I was looking for this type of service, I chose this location, because the manager succinctly answered my few questions, and did so better than two competitors in the area. However, my experiences with this location, in three months are disturbing. Because I've done a complete name-change, I have had to contact many entities, and I need to make sure I get my mail, to update my name. I also need to keep the same location, until this is stabilized. But, when the manager approached me, with strong emotions about how her employee did not place a package in my box that had come to me via overnight mail from my main bank, she got my attention. Then, she went on to say that he complains about not getting the tips for box holders that she gets for finding those mistakes. In other words, she was trying to manipulate money from me. I didn't buy it. This led me to decide to check my mail after hours. But yesterday, I forgot about my decision, and stopped by to ask about when my payment for my box was due. I had intended upon paying month to month, starting yesterday. The manager bristled, stating, "We only accept 3 months at a time!" Her employee looked startled. And I decided to pay it, because changing mailing address while I am updating my name on many documents might cause a problem. So, I have 3 more months with this location, and I will definitely remember to avoid contact with the employees here. read more

This shop is a hidden gem. So much more than shipping! They have PO Boxes, cute stationary, it's also a pick up location and you can renew your passports there. Linda knows her stuff, she's got the jams playing, and gets you in and out efficiently and with a smile. read more

I do not reccomend this location. The owner owns 2 more in Hillcrest. Horrible customer service. They recently started price gouging their customer by charging 1 dollar per package delivered to you. No notice sent out. I walked in and was told if I want to get my package I would have to pay the fee. I have had checks sent back because they did not recognize my name. You will be constantly harassed to up grade to expensive services. They are rude and don't care about their customers. I should have gotten my box at USPS down the street in the very beginning. What postal place charges you to have your package sent to you. That's the whole point of having a address with them. I want to have my packages sent there to stop people from stealing them from my front porch. Bosco, the owner is just hiking prices and pushing expensive shit to his customer and blaming the price increase on Covid. Lol really???? Accepting a package is the reason you charge 1 dollar right before Christmas when you know people start sending presents to their families. It's just plain GREED!!! read more

I have been going to this Postal Annex for 3 years as it is 1/2 mile away from where i live. Normally when I go in, Bosco is behind the counter and he is such a nice guy. Super warm and friendly and of course helpful. Not sure what changed, but about 6 mos or so ago, they started charging $1.00 to tape boxes, which at first upset me as I didn't bring any cash, so I had to go to an ATM to sort that out. But i got over it and was better prepared in the future. Today I went in and was treated horribly by the staff. The lady behind the counter told me that to put a t-shirt and a wrapped pint glass in a box was $13.00! That was their "labor charge." Didn't really tell me what was involved in that process. Was the peanuts to be used organic? Made by the finest Styrofoam that money could buy? I said, "I am sorry but that is a bit exorbitant in my opinion" to which she replied "Nothing is for free." WOW. So I bought two boxes and told them thanks and that I was going to UPS from now on. A customer then called me "rude" and proceeded to berate me in the parking lot. So I am sorry Bosco....we are breaking up. I am going to now go 2+ miles out of my way to send out packages. Cause if your company is going to nickel and dime me and charge me $13.00 to pack a box and I have two boxes, I could use that $26.00 on better things, like beer. And it really hurts me to have to say that. read more

Don't send your "large box" (ie wine box or similar) here. If you don't pick it u same day, they charge $5 per day. Probably not legal

Be aware, when you sign up and pay. They have a non-refundable policy so the soon you walk out the door, they have you hocked. I signed up and realized my partner already signed up for one and now I am $350 short for a mailbox I will never use. They also dont give you a copy of the contract you signed, so you need to read through all the pages before you sign, still dont know if the cancellation policy was listed in the documents.
