Clerk number 11 was extremely rude and disrespectful when I tried to rate my experience there she quickly press my rating so I could start paying, not giving me a chance to rate her nasty attitude, I hope you guys take the time to talk to her about how to interact with customers, if her job there makes her miserable then she should find another job and stop taking it out on the customers!!! read more

Horrible, horrible, horrible... In two separate occasions of certified mail, they have left the First Attempt card without even attempting! Absolutely terrible at moving packages through their location. Doesn't matter if I drop them off in person and hand them off accordingly or if my carrier picks up from my location. Each week I mail a minimum of 7-10 packages. I can usually count on at least 2 packages stuck in Yorkville. Today I dropped off 2 priory packages, 1 media package and 5 first class packages. This was 9:23 this morning. As of this evening, 1 of the priority packages hasn't moved. Nor has one of my first class packages. Additionally, a package that was picked up from my location on Saturday has yet to move. This is really getting so frustrating. Overall the post system is awful. Something needs to be done in Yorkville! How can we count on our letters, bills, cards and packages to be delivered timely to our recipients. My recommendation is to allow 10 days minimum. It used to be a good idea to allow 5 days for mailing. Just awful. read more

Last we received two different people's mail on two different days. we are also missing a package usps tracker shows delivered 3/25 but it was never received. Third time a package has been lost, third time I'll go and speak to the post master who is really nice and helpful. read more

Not the best costumer service. This is the first post office I've been to where everybody that worked there seem to hate their job! They are very snippy and most of the time need an attitude adjustment. I hate that this is the closest post office to me or else I would have to drive all the way to the Oswego office (which honestly is worth the trip from how the customer service is at this location). Although I have come here before and had a good experience, today was bad. I came in and asked a question to a lady behind the counter who was very unpleasant or who seemed to be having a bad day. I felt incredibly nervous because of her and she just gave me this cold stare that told me she didn't care about anything I had to ask. I was just asking about a shipment that I have on the way. The place was also so silent it was depressing. This is expected of any store in Yorkville, honestly. read more

A package was taken to the post and they created a tracking number /label and that is as far as it went. A week later still tracking number is not in the system, Tried to call the Yorkville Post Office several times and they just kept disconnecting me. Called the 1800 number they suggested got no where. Never even transfer me to the survey , that should tell you something. It is ASHAME the post office has gone down hill so bad and they get paid BIG bucks for what, to be rude ,not answer the phone, lose you package. read more

What has happened to Yorkville Post Office? Change in long time employees has ruined a once awesome mail service. Like slugs. No service and barely able to try to give excuse. They just don't care. The text service that says your mail has delivered is useless as you can show them, with the time it "delivers" with tracking and they shrug. Horrible, horrible. Ask for supervisor and they again shrug, wait a few minutes and act... and then you wait 5 minutes for supervisor. She says it's here but we aren't processing until tomorrow... what?? I just drove from Oswego due to tracking and you aren't processing?? Horrible. Oh by the way, postage is going UP for this poor service. Where's Waldo? I mailed a small package from Yorkville to Ottawa on 2 July, the estimated delivery date was 7 July. Its now 16 July and it still hasn't arrived. Tracking say my package is in transit to next facility. The thing is I mailed a similar package to Rensselaer, In. on 10 July and it was delivered on 13 July. read more

I regularly mail a rigid envelope wIth a CD inside. Other than regular mail, this is the only thing I ship. The CD is media and I always tell the agent it is Media for the media rate. Well, I come into this PO in Yorkville, IL and like many other times here the window people are not customer service material. Well, this was the second time I had an encounter with this employee which was bad. I told her I wanted the Media rate and she tells me no, it's a FIrst Class rate. I tell her, no it's a CD; it's media rate. She squabbles about how she doesn't have her sheet that tells her if a CD is a media rate. OK, you work at the window but don't know what is considered media rate? Hmm. She agrees to give me the media rate without checking it, OK whatever. Go check, I know its considered media cuz I've seen it on the USPS website. She proceeds to put a barcode sticker OVER the DO NOT BEND warning. So now I have to say to her, "Could you stop putting the label over that sign." She peels it off and resticks it on the side. She proceeds to ask me, "Can't you put the sticker here on the side?" (At that point I was wondering if she was messing with me.) I responded with, "No! That is preprinted on the envelope." My favorite post office is Elburn, IL but it's a little farther than Yorkville. But why is there such a big difference in customer service. Heck, I'll work the window at Yorkville, if you pay me what those people are making. We ALL KNOW they make good money cuz they've been there for years. I work in the customer service industry as well. As much as the public drives me bonkers, I still make it a pleasant experience for the people I serve and for myself. In customer service, if you don't reach out to find the fun in it, then you will be stuck in a crappy job. To me a crappy job is digging a ditch for 8 hours. Post office? Nope not a crappy job. It's the employees who make their job crappy with their poor attitudes. Please get new window people at the Yorkville PO who appreciate the fact that they have a good paying job, and still get a pension (probably the only people in the USA who get a pension still). Appreciation goes a long way in customer service industry. It's just a BASIC element of dealing with humanity: respect and kindness. No wonder why we have so much hate in the world. read more

I had four international shipments. I asked for the forms for 3 APO and 1 Mexico. I spent 20 minutes filling them out only to be told it is the wrong form. They didn't even apologize. The form had instructions for APO addresses. Rude people. Horrible service. read more

Customer service is no help at all here. Package was delivered to the wrong house, and when I called the post office asking them about the whereabouts of my package, I was made to feel like it was my fault! They said I should look harder for it because it could be anywhere around my house. I was even advised to look around my tree because that's a common spot they put packages (what a ridiculous spot for a package). The package was a small box of photos, but the operator said I should file a police report, and suggested to be home the next time I'm expecting a delivery. Soon after I got off the phone the neighbor came over and said that my package was delivered to them last week and gave it to me! Just awful- Made me feel helpless about a package that was misplaced, and totally wasn't my fault! read more
