I guess I have to attribute it to luck or timing, but every time I've gone there's been no--or virtually no--line, and the people working have always been polite and even friendly. The way the reviews depict this post office is the way I would depict the post office I normally use, though in fairness I've never had a bad experience there either. I already knew what I needed to have and had the paperwork already filled out, and if you're coming here to apply for a visa I suggest that you do to. Go online first and get all the details and forms you need, then go to a Walgreens or something and get a passport photo, and THEN come here. I don't remember what the fee was, but I also chose to have the application expedited so it was far more than normal. They accept credit or debit cards, but if you want to pay with cash you have to go get in line, if there is one, and purchase a money order (I decided to just pay with a card). I had no idea what applying for a visa would be like, but it was a lot easier than I would have thought; I was the only one there so I was in and out in fifteen minutes. Overall I prefer this post office to my usual one, but a post office is a post office in a lot of ways, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend that people go out of there way to come here, but if you're going to be near and you have mailing needs then try your luck here and maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised. Or maybe not, what do I know?

Why we continue to support through tax dollars paying pensions, salaries, postage for a broken system is beyond me. Privatize it and see what happens to accountability and the way they spend money. Our appointment was scheduled for 11:00 a.m. We arrived 15 minutes early, to complete the DS-11 form in person, because I had a question about it and didn't want to make a mistake when filling it out at home. The question was about whether I should mark myself as a student or employed, since I am both working and studying. At 11:03 a.m., the employee assigned to passport services, Matthew, asked what time our appointment was. I told him it was at 11:00 a.m. He looked at the clock, said nothing, turned around, and walked away. We later found out he went on break during our scheduled appointment time, without any explanation. When my mom asked about it, he told us it was "not our business" when he takes his break. We were left standing there confused, with no help, during our own appointment window. Later, another employee, Diana, arrived. Around 11:08 a.m., instead of helping us, she took other customers who were scheduled ahead of us at 11:15 and continued serving them past my appointment time. During the time that was supposed to be our appointment, they were helping other people and went over time with them. I was otherwise ready, but with only 2 people at the desk I couldn't even tell them I was ready, because Diana was busy with someone else. After that, while it was still technically the appointment time of those people who were ahead of us, my mom and I were made to stand in the middle of an empty store "in case" customers with an appointment 15 minutes later might not show up and then they will be able to service me. The store was empty, there was time, and yet our appointment was completely ignored. Somehow, people who were not even there were treated with more respect than us. I have never experienced treatment like this in the United States before, especially for simply trying to make sure official documents were filled out correctly during my own appointment time. This experience was unacceptable, and I hope management takes it seriously so no one else is treated this way.

It's great not to have to trudge to another town's post office just to wait in some horrific line and be served by people who clearly need a break. Every time I've gone to this location to ship packages, the staff's been cordial or even downright friendly (you don't really ever expect the USPS staff to be friendly, do you?) and helpful. There's never a line (although I admit I've never come here during the holiday rush - I mean, I'm not crazy or anything) and you can always park near the door. And as someone who lives in Warrenville, well, this location couldn't possibly be more convenient for me.

He could not get the printer to work for the customer in front of me, so he ended up calling Kash who by the way is great and he was getting so frustrated and he was cussing in front of customers and he ended up telling the customer in front of me after 15 minutes that he can't do what she needed. He did not acknowledge anybody he is always rude every time I come in it is just not good customer service. Also had an issue where they wouldn't accept a prioroty mail USPS box as it was "folded improperly". So they made me put it in a new box with new label, but then wouldn't attach the label and wanted me to buy tape. Have been using UPS and FedEx since. Always amusing when one agent doesn't know how to do something in the computer system. The supervisor clearly knows but won't teach them and just disappears, leaving the lines to get longer and the other agent to finally give up and say they can't do it.
