I'm very upset. I paid $50 for "Priority" Mail to Poland, which apparently means sending my letter on a month-long vacation around the world. It took a full month, wandered through other places it didn't belong, and still arrived later than a regular letter with a $5 stamp. And of course -- no refund. I'm not even asking for all the money back, just keep the stamp cost and return the rest. After this experience, I will never use the post office again. If this is "priority," and they tell you will arrive in 5 business days day then don't trust them !!!! One month to arrive ! read more

Same experience as L.P. with missing postage. Two priority mail envelopes to separate destinations dropped off inside and mysteriously disappeared, no tracking. Also had an issue where they wouldn't accept a prioroty mail USPS box as it was "folded improperly". So they made me put it in a new box with new label, but then wouldn't attach the label and wanted me to buy tape. Have been using UPS and FedEx since. Always amusing when one agent doesn't know how to do something in the computer system. The supervisor clearly knows but won't teach them and just disappears, leaving the lines to get longer and the other agent to finally give up and say they can't do it. read more

I wish I could put no stars. A mail carrier vehicle hit my car a week ago. I spoke to Cheyioa and she told me her manager Andre would came later that day. He came a week later to investigate unexpectedly. The person sent rang the bell and then tied to leave before I open the door, had to run to catch him. He asked me to pull my car out and upon seeing the damage he acted like that was nothing squinting to see the damage. . I told him, I have her on my ring moving around the car but from the angle you can't see her hit, but it made noise, otherwise the Ring would not started recording. Then he started shaking his head like no that's not possible even before speaking to me and implying the dent was insignificant and like I was bothering them over nothing. He then tries to rein-act the accident on my very incline driveway to prove his point. since it happened on the street in front of my house which of course in not inclined but he had no interests in moving the cars to the actual location where it happened. He kept asking me what part of the mail truck hit my car, like I know! Every place I guessed, he's was no no no that doesn't line up, it's not possible. quickly realized this was some complete B.S formality and nothing would come this investigation. I even asked him why did he even come and was it to just to waste my time!? He continued blow it off as nothing Luckily my dealership will fix it without a charge. I trusted that a mail carrier knows how to drive well enough that they don't hit a parked car! Trifling to say the least. Service is poor and they really don't care and will do anything to escape fault. This lady will have her karma for lying, because what goes around comes around. Attempted to send out holiday presents this morning. Employee would not print a label for me and yelled "you've never shipped anything before?" In front of multiple people. This was extremely embarrassing and made me feel terrible. Is it too hard for people to just be kind? I will not be using this business in the future which is unfortunate as it's the closest post office to my residence. Do better. read more

Why oh why did they shrink the size of the downtown post office location?? There is always a crowd. I went in today and the line was out the door! Forget it! Several other people walked away too when I did. The parking lot is also the size of a postage stamp, with hulking SUVs fighting for space. Not worth the stress for some stamps. read more

Came to this USPS because I was in the area to mail two certified letters. They didn't have enough certified receipts at the table so I had to wait in line to get more. Then get back in line only for the lady to refuse to take my certified letters because I didn't completely fill out the part that's for MY OWN records. I don't need all the information for my own records. Why does it matter? I send hundreds of the letters a month and never had this requirement before. Never returning to this location. read more

I don't know why the employees here are some of the rudest USPS employees I've ever encountered. I needed help mailing a letter, and the address I had gotten had both a PO Box and street address. I showed the clerk the address, and they gave me the nastiest attitude while there was a line of customers. I felt so embarrassed and kindly said that I was just asking for their help and they just looked back at me without offering help, took the letter, and said "next." So unnecessarily rude. read more

Employee was arguing with another customer when I arrived. She then gave me the most ridiculous attitude after asking her for help because I couldn't remember how to send a package overseas. I gave her nasty attitude right back. She hated it. She spoke in a passive aggressive way about me in front of me to another customer who was kissing her bottom (also ridiculous), then came back to me with that horrid manner. I asked for my package back. Went elsewhere. I can do indifference, I can do dry, but those miserable employees need to find a new job or quit acting like they didn't do anything when a customer gives them what they're giving out. If you hate yourself and your job that much, find a way out. Never stepping foot inside that place again if I can help it. read more

I've been treated better at border patrol, being patted down to enter sketchy clubs in the city, being patted down in the New Orleans airport because I forgot to remove my necklace, and even that one time I went through the visitor section of jail security. I was treated like a QUEEN those times compared to this. I hesitate to name the shrewd woman who "helped" me here. "Help" is being used very loosely. I don't know the difference between first class mail, priority mail, regular mail (is that even a thing?), etc. I probably don't know this because I don't work for the postal service. After being spoken to like I was some kind of criminal, I snapped back at her, "well OKAY then!" and she sort of backed off. In hindsight, I wish I had told her to cut the crap. But she had my package in her hand and I was concerned she'd then refuse to give it back to me. Of course, as I pulled out the parking lot, I saw that sad bag of a woman standing outside and smoking. The old biddies working here called me ugly... and not even in a way where they could kind of use poetic license to scoot around how they really felt, they just flat out said it, to my face, while my bf slowly backed away from the hell that was about to break loose. One star... because showing someone your passport picture isn't traumatizing enough. I've been wanting to write this for a while now but felt it was best to wait for a time when I felt maybe less disgruntled. It takes a whole lot of sh*t show to get a single star rating from me, but congratulations to the two old ladies that work here who are the post office's less charming version of Statler and Waldorf. I just wanted to send in my passport info, after making several (re: three) attempts at getting even a mediocre passport photo. The women behind the counter felt they needed to point out that my hair color was not at all natural (no sh*t, Sherlock), that I wear a lot of make-up (okay, I can't argue with that), and that she didn't think she could authorize a passport looking the way I do. What did she want me to do? Go home, re-dye my hair, take off my make-up, and change my clothes? Yes. That's exactly what she wanted me to do. Lucky for me the only thing this piece was actually authorized to do was put a stamp on my f*cking forms while someone else more capable and less senile approved my p-port. One star for the afore mentioned experience that isn't helped by the poor parking situation that isn't even worth complaining about once a bunch a blue hairs try to rag on you. PS- I should also mention that at the time I had a broken foot and was walking on crutches with a little boot and they showed no mercy, even in my disabled state. read more

Like a breath of fresh air, the downtown Post Office will be a breeze for your posting needs. Like any federal businesses where you have to pull a ticket and wait for an endless amount of time before you're called, this location stands out from crazed senders and receivers. Strolling into this small office, I was greeted with a warm smile before I had a chance to fully walk through the front door. It was a nice surprise to see that there was only one other person before me. Without pulling a ticket, the lovely woman behind the counter asked if I needed assistance but I needed a few minutes to put everything together. I had a package that needed to be sent across the pond, and am familiar with the process for declaring your goods. USPS swiped a cool fast one past me and changed up the declaration forms so I was slower than usual in getting everything packed. Failing to grab another ticket, she called me up and helped me all the while with a generous smile, giving me a form to fill out and get the package on it's merry way. All done within minutes. This marked the second visit and I most definitely will be making this my go to post office. It's dead quiet inside, both times I have been greeted and given such friendly service and did not have to battle lengthy lines. Fear no evil of the Post Offices, this is a snazzy location. read more

Small because it shares a location with a bank and the employees are rude. I needed a small piece of tape to seal my envelope and the lady at the counter refused. Even though there was tape laying right next her register, she made me buy a whole new role for $3.50. Unbelievable. The parking lot is also a nightmare, but what do you expect for Downtown Naperville. You have to circle around the building for a spot, and then pulling out onto Washington takes forever when you are trying to leave. I avoid this place if I can, but unfortunately it's the nearest post office for me. read more

I don't think this branch has any awareness of how to serve customers. There is no understanding of professionalism nor any establishment of respect. I called to track a package that was showing up as delivered. First of all, I had to repeat the problem to about 2 different employees before getting handed off to the supervisor. She then assured me that she would investigate thoroughly and get back to me later in the day. It's been more than a week now and I have yet to receive either a courtesy call or my package. Second, I even tried to call them repeatedly throughout the week only to be brushed off. The level of incompetence, disregard, and disrespect was just staggering. Do not drive to this post office. It is a nightmare. The parking lot is tight and small. If you manage to squeeze your vehicle into a spot, be careful backing out. As I put the car in reverse, at least three speed demon soccer moms whizzed past me in their suburban tanks. The experience almost gave me a heart attack; I was driving a brand new car. After you back out (hopefully dent-free), trying to get on the road is nerve wracking. This branch of the post office is on Washington Street, the busiest in downtown Naperville. It took me 10 minutes to turn right onto Washington to leave. The traffic backs up horribly. Further, no one will show mercy and let you out. The actual post office is small with no self-service options. There are at least two entrances, one facing the parking lot and another facing Washington. When you enter from the parking lot, you first encounter the P.O. boxes. Turning the corner, you will find the service desk. There is no self-service machine to ship packages or buy stamps. You are forced to wait in line. When I visited there were two clerks. One was helping a woman ship 15-20 boxes (I am not exaggerating). The other was helping someone mail about 5-10 letters. It was miserable. Not only that, the line backed up and there wasn't enough waiting room space. When I finally reached the counter, I did not find the clerks crabby or difficult. The problem here is mainly the location. If you walk or drive a clunker, that might not be an issue for you. I, personally, will not be back. read more

Parking stinks and the employees are RUDE....I arrived at 8:25 because it opens at 8:30. The employees arrived smoking cigarettes and drinking a huge Dun kin Donuts coffee at 8:32....ok everyone runs late sometime....She opens the door at 8:35 and THEN turns on the computer which takes 3 minutes to start up....then for some reason the computer was not working. I guess they upgraded the software overnight. Mailing 3 small packages took 35 minutes....so glad the government runs the post office.... read more

Went to the counter on 1-24-17 to mail two large envelopes. Paid the postage, and the clerk took the envelopes from me to mail. As of today, Feb. 1, 2017, both of my clients have never received what I mailed. Both envelopes were to local mailings in IL, and both of the envelopes never arrived to my separate clients. I am suspicious that these envelopes were possibly stolen internally at the post office. I sure hope not, but what else could have happened. I phoned the post office and they claim my mailings were not lost or misplaced by the clerk. read more

wide open, clean post office. different sections to process different requests, i.e. passports, pick-up, drop off, etc. one complaint: the pick up section is right near the entrance so if there is a line, you'll have to pass it in order to get into the main office. staff is friendly and pleasant. they also have a ticket number system so you don't have to necessarily wait in line. medium sized parking lot. read more
