I guess I have to attribute it to luck or timing, but every time I've gone there's been no--or virtually no--line, and the people working have always been polite and even friendly. The way the reviews depict this post office is the way I would depict the post office I normally use, though in fairness I've never had a bad experience there either. I already knew what I needed to have and had the paperwork already filled out, and if you're coming here to apply for a visa I suggest that you do to. Go online first and get all the details and forms you need, then go to a Walgreens or something and get a passport photo, and THEN come here. I don't remember what the fee was, but I also chose to have the application expedited so it was far more than normal. They accept credit or debit cards, but if you want to pay with cash you have to go get in line, if there is one, and purchase a money order (I decided to just pay with a card). I had no idea what applying for a visa would be like, but it was a lot easier than I would have thought; I was the only one there so I was in and out in fifteen minutes. Overall I prefer this post office to my usual one, but a post office is a post office in a lot of ways, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend that people go out of there way to come here, but if you're going to be near and you have mailing needs then try your luck here and maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised. Or maybe not, what do I know?

We had the…read morephone packaged up already and taped but on the side of the box, the tape wasn't sticking so we asked the lady behind the desk to see if she possibly had tape around; considering that it is a postal office, so we could ship our package out. Unfortunately, we received very bad service from this lady. She rudely told us that they do not do that but that I could purchase tape. We only needed like 3 inches worth of tape and we did not want to spend $4 on tape where we will only be using a piece. We did not appreciate the bad service and the attitude that we received. Hopefully this does not happen to anyone else!

If I go to the counter I'll often get incorrect advice or hear them give other customers incorrect advice. The backroom people are slipping badly. About half my packages aren't getting departure scans which means I don't know where the package is until it hits a sorting center or occasionally until it is delivered. That makes the extra fee for tracking worthless. I go to the North Aurora PO when I can. It's the exact opposite there. Friendly counter staff and accurate scans. I recently dropped off a package there that was delivered before a package dropped off earlier at Batavia showed up in tracking as outside the office.

I visit the post several times a month. Many of the workers are consistently rude and arrogant and when there is an issue, they never take accountability or try to help. There is no one they can call. There is nothing they can do about it. Too bad, it's my problem. Not all are rude and unhelpful, but some are and I'm sure the post office already knows who. After my last encounter, I will be going to the St. Charles location.

First, my neighbor's package gets misdelivered to another street with the same house number. When the neighbor inquired, they kept telling her that they'd look into it, but they wouldn't call the next day, and when she did, the person was off or on vacation and she'd have to retell her story again. We went searching for the package ourselves and figured out that it was delivered to the wrong house, but when the mailman finally listened four days later, the package was no longer there. The neighbor eventually dropped it off herself. Then I couldn't find my package, even though Amazon had sent me notification that it was delivered. I called the post office. They tried to explain to me that it was most likely in the bigger mailbox, for which a key should have been placed in my mailbox. I explained that there was no key and someone else had already opened the big box and took out whatever it was and nothing was there. The woman on the phone told me she'd call back first thing in the morning. Well, she didn't. Some neighbor dropped it off him/herself. Obviously, in less than two weeks, two packages on the same street were misdelivered. How often will this happen? Rediculous! P.S. USPS is just a hot mess altogether. My package wasn't delivered yesterday because "package was sent to the wrong facility and will now be delayed." Great. Today is a holiday, so maybe tomorrow?
