By far the worst escape room experience I ever had. No clues or hints anywhere on how to escape…read more The paid actors takes there roles seriously and won't help. I will not return to this place ever!

Go figure, a prison with a 1 star review...seems sort of fitting, doesn't it?…read more I've been visiting an inmate here for several years now, and I have to say that for the most part, this place personifies government workers in Illinois. We are on their time. If it's your first time visiting Stateville, get ready to be denied access, even if you're on the inmate's approved list. It's happened to pretty much everyone that I know. They try to tell you you're not on the list. They tried telling me that maybe he forgot to put his sister down because he put his OTHER sister on the list and he needed to put both of us on there (uh, not the case. My brother may be an idiot for other reasons, but not putting his immediate family on a visitors list so that he could have contact with the outside world and food other than the garbage they serve on the line isn't something that he would do). On multiple occasions, we've been check in (and check in, and searched, and checked in, and checked in one more time, just to make sure that we - two females - didn't switch identities with any of the male inmates) and assigned a visiting table just to wait over an hour and a half for the inmate to come downstairs. Apparently the guards only get the prisoners if they feel like it. The vending machines used to be way overpriced, but I guess enough visitors complained (wrote to their elected officials in Springfield) that the prices are now somewhat reasonable. What hasn't been fixed, however, are the machines themselves. Every time we go, at least one machine is out of order. More often than not, there is little to no food in them (and I use the term "food" very loosely) and/or it's expired (especially the fruit/veggie packs). I've been told that the infrastructure of the actual prison is deteriorating badly, with crumbling walls where daylight can be seen through the cracks (real safe, right?). The prison is filled beyond capacity, and with the recent closing of yet another prison, it's even more so. Correctional Facilities are supposed to be rehabilitative, but I've seen my brother's mental state continually decline as a result of being locked up here as he awaits an appeal (another story for another time). The gangs are pretty fierce, even though they pretty much leave unaffiliated people alone (Neutrons are what they're called), and it's not uncommon for the whole place to go on lockdown when a fight erupts (between rival gang members or sometimes between guards and inmates). With such a savage environment, essentially a walled hole where people to go be forgotten, it's no wonder that there are so many repeat offenders.

The P-ville Public Library is my favorite library (aside to the Naperville 75th Street Public…read moreLibrary!) Their computer monitors are very state-of-the-art; they have the ability to rotate almost completely sideways (watch sideways) & the height can also be lowered or raised -if You like to sit up high and keep the screen at eye-level! They move a couple more ways but, they do not tilt backwards -which would be necessary if You stood up and we're looking down at the monitor. Their media catalogue contains literally hundreds of great DVDs & a similar amount of Blu-rays! They offer a large selection of biographies/autobiographies; such as Erika Jayne's autobiography! Their second floor consists of 8 computers (4 on each side with) lots of desk surface for Your things! Drinks are okay if they have a lid/cap. Don't worry about space if You bring Your own device(s); they have about 8 personal tables for You & 2 friends (3 seats total!) Take note that not all tables have a charging outlet located on the floor. There is also a large area to the left (which is circular) for about 15 people to work privately! Not sure yet about the outlet situation over there. Bring large charging cables for Your devices in any situation. The computers have many charging outlets on the desk; charge 4-5 things if needed! It's probably best to bring a "multiple USB" usb adapter; there is only one usb port on the monitor with others possibly located elsewhere. The monitor has an SD card reader; buy an SD adapter to load files on Your TF/Micro SD card and place Your uploaded files on the micro so card into Your teléfono! It's a perfect library with even more perfect Librarians -my favorite aspect of anyplace that I visit! Shout out to Colette, Carmela, Andrea, Heather, Niel; my favorite Librarians!!! Neil says, "The language; it's unacceptable." I replied, "That movie is too fuc**ng funny!"

Free classes at the local library sounded great. We've attended the Baby & Me- walk in & offered Mon-Wed and Fun w/ Music- registration required. The staff is friendly and the resources are plenty. It's conveniently located in downtown Plainfield with plenty of parking- street & private lot.

My question is, since when asking to go use the bathroom/ restroom to relieve themselves, it's the law for employees to receive at least two 15 minute breaks when working more than 6 hours. I never received a first break and was approaching lockout for me to take a lunch. I was still actively on lunch when I asked to go use the restroom and was denied the right to go. How is this not a violation of human rights? How am I denied my employment benefits because of this? I forgot to mention prior to me needing these benefits unemployment paid out a fraudulent claim under my name where I had to go through extreme lengths just to verify my identity!! AGAIN HOW AM I DENIED BENEFITS?! ESPECIALLY WHEN THE EMPLOYER DIDN'T SHOW UP TO THE HEARING?!
