The people working in the office are friendly, but I really don't like the delivery service. I live…read moreon the third floor of an apartment building, and have had packages (including mail order medication) tossed and left at my door. I have seen my neighbors packages left by the front door of building, for anyone to take, as well. Fragile items are no exception - I had a box with perfume and a few other fragile items delivered today, and I clearly heard the mailman toss my package to my door from the landing . I find it especially innapropriate that they leave prescription mail order medicine at the door. They are damn lucky I am not a diabetic or taking any medication that would gravely affect my health if it was stolen. It's also worth noting, the mail person also rarely knocks on the door to let me know it's arrived. I get MUCH better delivery service through Amazon and FedEx. I called to complain after my mail order medicine was left at the door, and was informed by a higher up that it's actually against their policy. The mail man even noted in records that he left the front door. Thankfully the person I spoke with was very professional, and understood how serious leaving medicine at the door is, and took care of the situation.

I took it to my post office and they said that the postage was more than adequate and they physically stamped it so it will be delivered. If I go to the counter I'll often get incorrect advice or hear them give other customers incorrect advice. The backroom people are slipping badly. About half my packages aren't getting departure scans which means I don't know where the package is until it hits a sorting center or occasionally until it is delivered. That makes the extra fee for tracking worthless. I go to the North Aurora PO when I can. It's the exact opposite there. Friendly counter staff and accurate scans. I recently dropped off a package there that was delivered before a package dropped off earlier at Batavia showed up in tracking as outside the office.
