I was seated quickly on the patio which felt like a secret oasis and was extremely quiet for the city. The atmosphere is clean and modern, but still welcoming with interesting artwork in the bathroom. My server, Nick, was friendly, accommodating, and went above and beyond to ensure I was enjoying my meal. He told me that they recently started serving dinner and I'm so glad they did! I ordered the salmon which was tender, cooked to perfection, perfectly seasoned and served over the best risotto and asparagus I've had in a long time. It has a great private outdoor patio space that gets tons of sunlight (the tables are shaded by umbrellas) and there's accommodations for small or large parties. Their matcha latte was not your average, it has ginger blended into it and all of their tea drinks have an interesting flavor profile/creative twist. The almond milk latte was well done too and they have a good selection of your usual brunch cocktails and wine. We had a reservation and I would definitely make one if you're visiting on the weekend. We were sat in the patio, which was cute and they had jazz playing. We came to post for a Friday night happy hour, and were pleasantly surprised. They had what they call golden hour where well drinks were 7 dollars, signature cocktails were 8, and specialty were 10. I had never tried them alone before, but post made some good artichokes!! Service was OK. Nothing worth mentioning but not bad either. They were overall welcoming but that's about it! The atmosphere is what sold it. Living in NYC it's hard to find a place to bring visitors that won't break the bank, but also give off the NYC atmosphere and vibe. While this place definitely felt more like Amsterdam or Sweden, the atmosphere felt very cozy and intimate and is the perfect place to bring out of towners in my opinion. I'll be bringing another visitor here after thanksgiving and I'm so excited to go back!! The entrees are a bit more expensive, but looked delicious. I definitely recommend this for appetizers and drinks for happy hour. I think we each ended up paying around 30$ each for 3 appetizers (we didn't pay for one since it was given to us by mistake), and 3 drinks each!! A true hidden gem in my opinion. read more

I don't typically like bloody Mary's but this one was by far the best I've ever had! The mimosa was very good too. For food I got the Post Breakfast. The eggs were perfectly fried, the avocado was fresh and they actually gave a lot, the salad was amazing, the potatoes were super good, and the tomato was well done. Really, really liked this restaurant. First time here and would definitely come back. It's a totally unassuming place that is worth the trip down to the East Village. The only reason why this is not a 5-star is because I'm basing my rating on a couple of dishes. The roasted potatoes are very tasty and very soft in the middle. The salad dressing is just an amazingly fresh vinaigrette. The baked tomato is perfectly done so it's soft, but not mushy. The avocado was just perfectly ripe. And the eggs, well they're just scrambled eggs Biscuit on the side ... just soft enough were you can tell it'd not that greasy so a good biscuit in my book. Bacon on the side ... perfectly crispy, not overly salty or fatty. Service is good (in general). Went here without a reservation because it was completely booked during the long weekend. One of the waiters was very accommodating and friendly. He definitely made up by a mile for the other waiter that wasn't quite as friendly. He was able to get us a table inside in no more than 15 minutes and was so pleasant throughout the entire service, Ambiance ... very simple, but very classy interior. All clean lines and decor. Very white to make up for the lack of light from the outside as it's doesn't get that much light from the outside, Nice bar to eat and a fabulous outdoor with just a few comfy, big tables that are perfectly situated at the entrance on the sidewalk.
