That being said this was my first auto loan and I walked in there with all honesty, as far as how much I had down. They offered me a 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan and I had expressed my situation to a young lady, Alyssa and the older Middle Eastern man Tariq Elfauri. I drove off the lot in that vehicle on August 28th, and on October 20 2025 it was repossessed from my job. I was told at the dealership that they were going to give me a month to make my car payment. They claimed and never got it, the date was repossessed I made an additional payment of 480 and they still refused to reinstate my loan. Tariq also HIT MY CREDIT REPORT WITH THE REPOSSESSED and I've heard from "Deontye" that he basically blacklisted me from getting another car with anyone else. The day that I was able to go to the dealership and get my things out of the car a man introduced himself as Deontye and claimed he was helping me get my car back.. it's now December 15 and that has not been the case. I'm obviously going to get a lawyer involved. Watch out. This entire thing was a whole scam. Im sure they are all in on it. I'm very embarrassed and upset but I wanted to share so no one else falls for this crap. I heard from Deontye there's 20 REPOSSESSION cars right now and some other lady came up there crying about her car being repo'ed. If you're already in a hard spot.. don't trust them. And I'm going to say it because it was told to ME that they prey on POC. Do not fucking get a car through them!!!

Update! .... to this day I am still finding out more and more stuff. They wetr supposed to fix the…read morewindow motor in my car and since they didnt have the tool, they drilled out the screws and then sip tied the motor in. They sold me a lemon and hid all the problems to it. They buy shit at auction, hide all the defects and then sell it to suckers like me. Stay away. -----really wish I could give them a better review but this was the worst car buying experience in my life. They sold me the care I have wanted for the last 10 years, so it really could have been a home run. First, the main issue is that they tried to hide engine issues by clearing the codes long enough to sell the car. - That right there says a lot about the company. I won't go into the 4 trips out there to get things fixed (45 min away) or the breakdown on the side of the road on my way to their dealership that I had to pay for or the door handle that is now not working right because they tried to fix the window that wouldn't go back up. (which they told me was the window motor, charged me to replace it , and it wasn't the window motor) They sold me a car with a ton of problems and then had me keep driving out there over and over again and leave my car so they could fix it until finally I gave up. I am taking it to a Chrysler dealer Saturday and sending them the bill. They buy hot rodded cars at auction and flip them for a quick buck hiding any issues they have. They give you a 3 month warranty on ONLY the main parts - (Engine, Drive train failure etc.) Had they simply told me about the issues I could have planned ahead and taken care of them, I would have probably bought the other SRT-6 they got in. STAY AWAY!! ---- The dealer offered to fix the problem if I removed the yelp. I decided I shouldn't have to take it down before they fixed the issues they hid from me. I will fix it myself. This is my last message to him. ----- You know what. Nevermind. I was trying to get you guys to fix this on Principle. It would have been a lot less expensive to take it in and get it fixed myself. You sold me a car with. 1. Broken motor mounts. 2. A bad Intercooler pump. 3. A battery that was way to small. 4. Bad terminals that had to be replaced. 5. A bad door lock actuator pump. 6. A bad smog pump. 7. bad crank shaft Positioning sensor 8. Bad cam shaft positioning sensor 9. A cracked dash 10. D side Heated seat that doesnt work. And all you had to do was fix the 3 things that the check engine light (that WAS turned off) indicated. And I would have accepted my losses. But you try to fix the problem by replacing it with a used part that is older then the one I have and that is faulty. Then try to to tell me you didn't know there were any issues? You had a machanic under that hood working on the car before and after the sale. I am not removing the yelp review. That is the experience I had with your dealership and it is staying up. Adjustments to the yelp review and any other reviews will be made based off my experience from here on.

I communicated with a sales person (Lynn) after seeing the car listed…read moreon ebay. relatively prompt response, I requested a few additional photos of the car, I was told she would take them and get them right to me....a few hours later I followed up..the next day I still hadn't received them, I followed up again. Finally, a few photos, only some of what I requested, but it was a start. I responded to her email with about 5 simple to answer questions... annnnnd, NADA... no response. I followed up a few more times... NADA... I can only imagine they were evading my "Are you ok with taking the car to the nearest manufacturer dealer for them to perform a pre-purchase inspection, at my expense"... In looking at the photos of the car a nearly $60k "sports car" you can see the tires are dry rotted.. That in itself should have given me the insight I needed to know about them... But, I was still giving them the benefit of the doubt.. guess I shouldn't have.. I encourage them should they see this to contact me, and try to move forward in a professional manor, that would make up for the lack of follow through....and I'd be happy to have a good reason to modify this review.. Anyway, if they don't even want to (or put any effort into) sell a car, I can't even imagine what would happen during the after-sale if something went wrong.. I guess their internet reviews are pretty accurate. Buyer Beware....

Extremely Disappointing Experience at Vandergriff Honda…read more My wife and I purchased a used 2025 Honda CR-V EX-L with approximately 22,000 miles from Vandergriff Honda on 8/8/2026, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The vehicle was advertised online for $33,667, but the paperwork we were given showed a vehicle price of $38,958, plus a $2,695 dealer-added accessory package, bringing the cash price with accessories to $40,650, before taxes and fees. The total cash price shown was $43,637.94. During signing, the final numbers and contract were not properly reviewed with us, and we were not initially given a copy of our signed contract. We only received the paperwork after we had to return to the dealership and specifically requested it. Immediately after getting home on 8/8/2026, we discovered a large nail in one of the tires. I contacted the salesperson immediately and was told to return Monday. On 8/10/2026, we returned to the dealership regarding the tire issue. Despite being told by the salesperson to return, the staff was extremely hesitant to address the problem. We returned again on 8/11/2026 to discuss the tire issue, the discrepancies in the purchase price, and the possibility of unwinding the transaction. We specifically asked to speak with the General Manager because we wanted to escalate our concerns and find a resolution. We were told the General Manager was not available and that Sales Manager Tim was available to speak with us. We explained our concerns to Tim and asked what could be done to resolve the situation. Tim told us that nothing could be done because we had already signed the paperwork. We were extremely disappointed by that response. We were asking management to review the concerns with the transaction, including the advertised price, additional charges, paperwork, and the tire issue. Instead, we were essentially told that because we had signed, there was nothing the dealership would do. The financing documents show $47,705.15 financed at 7.39% APR, with 84 payments of $730.92 and a total sale price of $62,897.28, including the $1,500 down payment. We spent approximately 6-8 hours at the dealership on both 8/10 and 8/11 trying to resolve these issues. We gave Vandergriff Honda multiple opportunities to make this right. We attempted to work with the salesperson, returned regarding the tire issue, requested our paperwork, and specifically asked to speak with the General Manager. Unfortunately, we left feeling extremely frustrated and disappointed with how our concerns were handled. We have retained our documentation, including the advertisement, purchase paperwork, financing documents, and documentation regarding the tire issue. We intend to file a complaint. My advice: verify every number against the advertised price, question every add-on, inspect the vehicle carefully before leaving, and make sure you receive copies of ALL paperwork before signing. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Vandergriff Honda. I would encourage anyone shopping for a vehicle to carefully compare the advertised price with the final paperwork and make sure every number and product is clearly explained before signing.
