The mechanic said it was a condenser/compressor issue and the whole thing will need to be replaced. He also told me the dealership would have had "no way of knowing about this". It was just one of those unfortunate things! I called Matt (who sold me the car) and he generously offered to cover the cost of the repairs. He sent me a check for $1,000.00. I was very grateful and extremely elated. I would buy another car from him in a heart beat. Thanks again Matt!

It had to be GM full-sized livery, and it had to be white. When I saw this new listing come up I almost knew I was going to buy it before I even went to look at it. The truck was in new condition and I could afford it at market price. It took me forever, but I was ecstatic to find exactly what I wanted in the color I wanted with a sinfully low odometer. I bought it on the spot and took it on home. With any used unit I go over it with a fine tooth comb looking at fluids, pressures, accessories and everything else to find out what's wrong with it. It had a bad door switch and I discovered the hoist holding the spare tire to the body is inoperable leaving the vehicle with no usable spare tire, and absolutely no self-help for a flat tire on board. Many brands today deliver new cars with no spare tire and no jack. The automakers may think that's adequate but I sure don't. I'm unwilling to leave the city limits without a pressure-checked spare, jack, and 4-way lug wrench. It was Friday afternoon and I'm trying to get out of town for the weekend. To fix this spare hoist is going to need a trip to the dealer, and I need to borrow a spare tire just for the weekend until the problem can be addressed. This lot was a lot full of many kinds of pickup trucks, and they had several choices from GM, Ford, and others. I called them asking to borrow the spare off one of their other for-sale units for the weekend only, and they declined. This truck was as-is, no warranty, but generally speaking when a used car dealer sells a car all of it's functions are working. I was less than delighted to be turned down for something they should have fixed before selling it, and that would have cost them $0 to temporarily upright the situation. My local mechanic and myself finally were able to disable the faulty lock mechanism that was between myself and the tire hoist, and I got on my way on time. After the fact the lot came back and told me where I could obtain a loaner spare to make this trip. By that time I had already jumped through hoops backwards to fix the problem that was on the truck when they sold it. I believe that problem was on the truck when manufactured, but that wouldn't help me one bit on the side of a road with a tire that's flat on the bottom. Buying from Post Motors was an almost stress free transaction. Of course I came in as effectively a new, all all cash customer, with my own financing and minimal hassles. I can't bash them too much but I do find their response to this spare issue not adequate. The vehicle was a cream puff that would sell 15 minutes later if I didn't take it. But, they had a whole lot full of premium condition trucks to look at with a smattering of other vehicles. I wouldn't say they are a bad car lot or they did anything less than above board. When I find something not working which is that important to me, I did expect more give a flip than I got. I knew it was as-is; no warranty when I bought it. Still, their lack of concern in a stressful situation certainly could have been handled better. They sold me a great truck at market value with almost nothing wrong with it, but when it was time to ad the lagniappe any customer would expect more than they did, and it was their choice to leave me stranded and not do one thing to help. They certainly didn't go the extra mile when they could have at $0 cost to them. I'm not unhappy with my purchase, but I did let them know their behavior after the sale was not what I expected from a reputable car seller. After it was too late they then came back with some help, but I had already accepted they don't give a flip and gone another direction with the spare that won't work problem before me. If anything positive comes of this I'd like to see a little more compassion toward the customer who has just bought a faulty vehicle they are unable to use until it's fixed.

Dealer trade in offers were around $16,000 up to $17,000. Blue Book trade in value was around $16,500 to $18,000. Blue Book Private Party price is around $19,000 - $20,000. We provided our own car loan company that was indepandant from the car dealer and the agent suggested trying givemethevin.com I wasn't too excited about the hastle of selling the car private party. So I called givemethevin.com on Monday 3/9/26 and had a nice conversation with Jennifer. She asked for information about the car and some photos of my car. After hanging up I was able to send her the information and within an hour of our first conversation she called me right back with an excellent offer and asked if I was interested. I was very happy and excited about the offer. Then she asked for some other sepcific pictures of the car and documents. Jennifer and I talked again on 3/10/26 she made an offer of $19,750, oh yeah! Selling it private party I was going to ask $20,000 and if it got desperate I would have gone down to $18,000. So $19,750 was way above my expectations. Finalizing the documentating was completed the same day with a plesant lady named Monica. I was given instructions on completing the documentation and on where to deliver the car (40 miles away) and made an appointment for delivery on 3/11/26. When I arrived there the man who did the intake inspection was nice to work with and he already had the $19,750 check in hand. That took around 20 minutes then they paid for an Uber Chevy Suburban to drive me home. Three pain free days and $19,750 from start to finish was an outstanding experiance and givemethevin.com is a very honest and classy operation. I recommend them to anyone. I wish that I had more cars to sell.
