Came here for my MIL's birthday and was told by her that the restaurant was recently updated. Staff even told us about their new chef from Naples and the new menu so they really built themselves up which may be what made the meal so disappointing. We got a bufala mozzarella dish and a diavolo pizza to start. These were probably the best part of the meal - and both of these dishes were pretty average. The mozzarella was underseasoned and the pizza while thin was also pretty wet and it flopped when trying to eat. My brother in law ordered what was a special that night and ordered this breaded veal chop and while the size of it was massive - think like sheet pan serving - it did not make up for the fact that the veal was thick, not pounded thin and had a pretty thick coating of fried breading as well which was at least crispy. No sauce or cheese on top, just 2 cups of sauces to dip and a side salad that was also underdressed. I felt worst for my husband who ordered a Carbonara and what came out was a dry-ish pasta made with THE FUNKIEST cheese that overpowered the whole dish - and we all tried a bite - and agreed it kind of tasted like feet. He was so bummed the rest of the meal. I wasn't very hungry that night and ordered a ravioli dish. It was probably the one thing we all agreed was decent on the table from an entree perspective. MIL's husband also thought his chicken was ok. Honestly, I took photos of this meal then deleted every one besides the pizza because my pictures made the food looked better than it tasted. Overall, the updated interior and ambiance of this restaurant is nice. Going for a more upscale, chic NY look but the food needs A LOT of work.

Zuppa di pesce

I decided to try Posa for lunch today, and I will definitely return. Their menu offered many options I'd like to try. Today, I opted for the zuppa di pesce. It was enormous! The photo doesn't do it justice. I gasped when my server brought it out, and she said, "I know." Anyway, the piece of sea bass was absolutely the star. It was soft as butter, and I definitely want to try Posa's sea bass entree in the future. The clams and mussels were a bit small and underwhelming, but I assume that's just due to the season and is not something Posa can control. They're not King Neptune! The lunch crowd today was nonexistent, but to be fair, I was early. Great if you want a quiet spot though. Next time, I'll probably go for dinner and bring a companion.

Love dining at Posa, where the food, ambiance and service are always exceptionally good. Enjoy it so much that I took a fabulous cooking class where I learned some great tips.

This is a gem I somehow missed here in town. It's tucked away off the street and easily overlooked, but what I discovered is that it is one of the best restaurants in the area. Posa is modern, sleek, Manhattan. There are two zinc-topped bars adjacent to the dining room which makes it perfect for couples-at-the-bar dinner and people watching. The food is eclectic, but leans Italian. From elegantly presented entrées of steak, chicken, pastas and salads to some of the best artisanal pizza I've ever had. Why not another star? We sort of got off to a bad start with the bartender, granted very busy, basically ignoring us for the first 15-20 minutes once we were seated at the bar. He could have acknowledged us or found a way to accommodate us with a quick glass of house wine or a glass of water to hold us till he was able to attend to us properly. Although I was getting very impatient, I kept my cool, and as the evening progressed the experience got much better. I'll let it go as a one off and be back for another try as I think this is a very worthy establishment deserving of an even better review.

Super Tuscan wine

The food was superb. The Super Tuscan wine was perfect and the service was friendly and professional. We sat next to kitchen on a high table and found it fascinating to watch them prepare the food. 100% Legitimate And World class Italian

The cocktail glass came straight from the freezer, and the drink was shaken and strained. I enjoyed sipping the ice-cold cocktail alongside the super-salty, crunchy olives. Despite being shaken, the drink was strong without feeling diluted. The food arrived promptly, and I particularly enjoyed the guacamole appetizer. The dip was fresh, with creamy avocado pieces that made for a great start to the meal. I was excited to see a poke bowl on the menu, and while the tuna was fresh, the dish as a whole was a little underwhelming. Pickled onions instead of raw red onions would have elevated the bowl, while the tomatoes and spinach felt like an odd addition and didn't add much to the overall dish. The fries were also fine. To end, The Lantern has a welcoming atmosphere, a solid cocktail, and some tasty bites, but there's room for a little more finesse on the plate. I'd happily return for another cocktail and to see what else the menu has to offer.

There was a table with kids that was really loud; they could use some acoustical tiles or something. The vibe was pretty nice. It's a decent spot, in this nice little downtown.

As it turns out Grace Farms is pretty remote with not many options nearby. I'm SOO glad Yelp lead me to La Vista. Wow! What a wonderful experience! Ambiance was quiet and tasteful with gorgeous seating indoors or outdoors. We started with the cheese wheel special of cacio e pepe which was an experience since they prepared it table side. Then I had the steak special and my husband had scarpariello ( a chicken and sausage dish). Finished with lemoncello dessert. We also enjoyed the delicious cocktails while we ate our meal. Christine was our main server but I say "main" server because the whole team was extremely attentive and considerate. Even though this is more than an hour way from us-- we can't wait for a special occasion to go back. Absolutely worth the trip. And 5 minutes from Grace Farms so we ate and made it to our 7:30 show in time. Great birthday dinner at La Vista.

The bar seats were comfortable and we could easily talk with one another and the service was excellent! We ordered a mocktail with Ginger beer and citrus juices that was refreshing. We each had the watermelon, arugula, feta cheese, sliced almonds topped with burrata cheese salad and I can't say enough about how delicious and fresh tasting it is!!! In addition, the presentation was just beautiful! We also shared an order of seared sesame tuna over greens that was also excellent and beautifully presented. The owner came by to check on us, as he always does every time I have dined here. Between the lovely decor, comfortable seating, warm and friendly service and consistently delicious food, you just can't go wrong here. Given all of this, the pricing is quite reasonable! If you haven't experienced The Barn Door, I highly suggest a visit.
