Posa Posa has the best pizza in Rockland. I lived in NYC for many years and they're the only pizza my family likes.

Excellent pizza! The best outside NYC. I've been going to this place since I was in my teens, and the quality has remained. I don't live in Rockland anymore, but when I pass through, as I did today, I order their stuffed slices to go, and heat them up when I get home. The stuffed slices are full of meats and cheese, with some variations. The "Roman" is my favorite. There is also a dining room inside, though I haven't sat down in there for years, but as I recall, you can order some traditional Italian favorites, such as francese or piccata. The food in Brewster is not nearly as good, and I wish these guys would drive out every week to bring me some of their delicious slices! See you next time around! read more

I grew up on Posa Posa and when visiting I always go back for some Fresca, Gardener or just good old plain slices which holds up with some of the best spots in the city. Anyone saying this is average pizza is off base. read more

Food medium to poor. DON't pay attention to the prices displayed on the board. They show one thing and then they charge another. Prices on the board are misleading. When we asked their response was " PRICES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE" It' even says so in small print on the bottom, which doesn't exist. another said "THOSE PRICES DON'T MEAN A THING" So beware of what they charge you. Best of all the food is mostly served cold and tasteless and even burnt. It was very evident in the spinach roll and calzone that we ordered. The spinach was not season at all . It was out of the freezer and into the dough with a few crumbs of cheese. "Tasteless " . The calzone was hot though but the dough around it was burnt and when I brought it back the worker was rude and came back insisting it was not. I got upset asked for my money back and left never to return unless to come back and check to see if they updated the prices on the board. My item was two dollar more than the posted $5.95 calzone. read more

This is not our first time here, but it is the worst. We're always bothered by the fact that they won't let you get pizza in the dining room side of the restaurant even if everyone is also getting a meal. Although, their pizza is not good for New York anyway. As for tonight, we had reservations for 5:00 for 12 people. It is currently 6:48. We have barely had anyone come check on us to see if we need drinks or anything else and somehow, even though most of us ordered salads, we are still waiting for our food. All of the families around us came in long after us and are already finishing their meals. There's a 20% gratuity added for large parties, yet we have gotten no service. Will update at the end of the meal... Update: We asked our waiter twice and 2 other waiters why it is taking so long. Finally we talked to the manager, she had no idea that we were having issues and she reprimanded us for not telling her earlier... They started bringing out our meals one at a time, some were just warm. Reactions to the food ranged from "good" to "just okay." No apologies at all... read more

Love the two hostesses Ginny and Joanne. We do not get anything from the pizza part of the business. Tonight we sat at a tiny table in the back for two. Ordered an appitizer soup and salads and main entree. Waitress never came back never got water not that it could have fit on the table!! Because we did not have our usual waiter they - all the dishes all came out at the same time!!!! Not even enough room to fit it all on the table!! Sorry! It's a local joint with a comfortable feel, that happens to be out of this world. Everything they do is consistently fantastic. I grew up on Posa Posa's Fresca pizza. My mom and sister go for the corners because they love that crispy crust, and I go for the middle because I'm all about the toppings and perfect bottom. Their salads are crisp and fresh, chicken is flavorful and delicious. I don't often have occasion to go for their entrees, but people who know what they're talking about have reliably informed me that they are very good. I have every reason to believe this. As other Yelpers have pointed out, they've been in business over 34 years. In a county peppered with really good pizza joints, that is certainly saying something Highly recommend. read more

Weve only recently started dining in the back restaurant more as opposed to getting take out and the plated dishes and service are amazing! I only wish we started coming in sooner. The only down side is watching the young woman get hit on by the older staff members. There's friendly and then there's creepy and I've seen a few of their older staff members cross that line. Came in tonight at the end of the night for a simple order of cold slices to go. I stood at the counter waiting while 3 employees looked at a cell phone. The older employee looked up made eye contact with me and then without a word continued playing around showing whatever was on his phone thst he was distracting the younger employees with...then a nice young gentleman came from another part of the restaurant and asked if I had been helped, while the original 3 employees still behind the counter still could not be bothered to even utter a "be right with you " which is all it would have taken to keep me happy. (I look at my phone at work too, I get it!) This was a last resort stop because it was late, I was close by and my nephew was hungry. I had come here once years earlier and vowed never to come back after sitting in the dining room looking at the layers of dirt on the soda fridge while eating average pizza. This time I didn't bother to look around and see if they improved on cleanliness, but, with service like that it doesn't matter, I'll never go back. I order 2 pastas,fettuccine alfredo with shrimp and a linguine with white clam sauce, 2 slices of pizza, and a calzón which I get no marinara sauce!the fettuccine had a very small porción of pasta and 3 shrimps literally half of the container wife was very disappointed, I get 5 clams, no problem decent amount, but again very little pasta,I finish it and I still hungry at dee marias in congers for less money I get the 2 pastas full to the top enough for 2 people, plus small salad and bread! This place is pretty large inside. We were accommodated on a table for 9 pretty easily. It has the vibe of a diner because it's a bit worn down but it wasn't too bad. As for the food, the first thing they brought us was some delicious sliced warm bread with butter. It was hard holding back from eating it, but I had to make room for my entree. We had some garlic rolls that weren't too greasy so that's a plus! Later, I ordered the bow tie pasta with vodka sauce and chicken. It was a huge plate, very filling, but there wasn't anything to talk home about. The chocolate cake with ice cream was pretty good though. As for the service - they were very good at that. Went here for a quick family meal one Sunday night. Were were seated quickly in the rear dining room with plenty of room for all 8 of us. The waiter brought some warm bread for us to enjoy and took our drink order, we could have used a bit more butter but that's being picky. Anything anybody ordered for entrees looked delicious, although the sauce on the eggplant and sausage and peppers received a blah review. Not that it was bad, just nothing to get excited over. We both ordered Ziti Amartregiana (Pasta made with bacon, onions, tomato sauce and a touch of vodka) FANTASTIC! We both gobbled it all up. Portions were adequate, not too small so you left hungry, but not so large as you had lunch for the next day. This was a nice surprise hidden in a shopping center behind a few other options. Best slices in Rockland hands down. I cannot get enough of this place and is a timeless staple of my childhood. For your traditional NY style pizzareia Pisa Pisa is where its at. The grandma and sicilians are on point as well! The pictures of the pizza speak for themselves. There is more than enough cheese and the crust underneath is heaven! I've never had a bad experience here and the food has always been awesome. They are not just a pizza place and also offer a dining room and full service restaurant. The service and staff put a lot of love into the food they create and speaks to my Italian heart. The penne vodka is amazing so if you dine in or order out and are in the mood for pasta definetly give it a try. update after food arrived: canned shrooms on the thin pizza made me sick. I had quarter of a slice and threw the rest of that piece out. the ziti aum was burned, the gardeners slice was 1/3 of the size WxLxH / the broccoli inside was grotesque and I legitimately walked away from the food as an early beginning to my birthday surprises. I'm so sad this used to be a childhood memory of a place I adored. I came back after a long break of supporting this pizza spot. always came here with my family and this time around I spent $40 on take out. I had only requested to add red roasted peppers for an additional charge on the pizza I ordered and the young female told me I'd have to buy a new pizza. I swear this place is awful to people that have tattoo's or have some sort of hatred for european looking people. it's like this every time my mother or myself come in and it's nasty. I don't know if they're aware, but Domino's delivers and has the option of three free toppings for $7.99 - this place, staff, and owners are just horrible and unprofessional. the owner once commented on my eyes being beautiful when I was waiting for my order and the place was closing, completely empty. creeped me out and pretended like he knew my mom when he had no clue who she was. done with this place for final. if the owner messages me one more time apologizing, I am going to truly be so unhappy. it's just such a shame for a place to be so judgmental and though the pizza is great, I genuinely don't want to not be accommodated like a human. read more

My first time here, my friend told me to try their Sicilian slice, he said that it was the best in rockland, I wasn't busy and was close by, so I thought I would stop in, from the second I stepped in, I noticed it was fast paced and the people behind the counter were very attentive, Connor behind the counter helped me right away as the line was moving, I had asked him if there were any Sicilian sliced left, he said he had one left, but that they had a fresh one coming out any second. So I waited and he rung me up, got a coke and two slices, he asked if I needed anything else and then took my credit card and told me to sign and he told me to enjoy me meal, very kind and pleasant. There are two kinds of atmospheres of this place, fast paced takeout or pizzeria dining like any other pizzeria, and then they have a dining room for their Italian dishes. THE SLICE: The slice was served nice and warm, just how I like my pizza ( I hate burning the top of my mouth with hot pizza). The slice wasn't sloppy or messy, it was consistent in its amount of cheese and sauce it had. The perfect amounts of sauce and cheese along with a nice crispy crust and not to thick of a slice. The cheese and sauce melted in my mouth as the flavor touched my taste buds, it was so good, I had to order a third slice. I haven't tried the other slices yet, but the pleasant and friendly environment and atmosphere will def make me come back to this establishment, even if I live 20 mins away. I highly recommend the Sicilian slice if you are in the mood of a pizza. Dining room is packed, so I'd assume the dishes are good here aswell. I will be coming back. Great place so far. read more
