Buying a car is pretty…read morestressful and overwhelming, but Jaden was patient, helpful, knowledgeable, responsive at all hours of the day (if not his team members were very helpful), honest, kind, and easy to work with from start to finish. He adapted his communication style to my method as I was very busy and couldn't answer the phone as much. He worked hard to return my calls even after hours as we were working through the paperwork, he answered my all of questions even if it involved asking others to confirm, helped me understand the vehicle, the process, and where to go when I needed help (even after the car purchase), and made me feel supported without being pushy. He even answered my partner's call when my partner needed to handle things given the short timeline and I had a lot going on. Even as we were purchasing the vehicle, I saw some smudges and I really appreciated his professionalism, kindness, and follow-through throughout the process. It felt like he genuinely wanted to help me find the right car, tried to get me what I wanted out of the car buying experience with a lot of work behind the scenes, and make the experience as smooth as possible. Jaden was able to do what no other dealership in the area could do. I want to thank Jaden for making such a big purchase feel much more manageable, for getting me the car of my dreams, and doing something no other dealer could do. I'd definitely recommend working with Jaden!

Horrific/scum behavior that added 8% to my loan. I complained to GM corporate anyway regardless of the time that's passed as I see other reviews even very recently that are mentioning the same exact practice. Troy Duhon should really review his deceptive/illegal practices and be class action sued for this.

So I'm not a huge reviewer online, but want to save anyone who I can from making the same mistake…read morethat I did of buying a used car from AutoNation. Their employees outright lied several times and have cost me more time and effort than I could have imagined. We were in the market for a used Jeep Grand Cherokee and headed over to AutoNation CDJR Carlsbad, who had a few used models on the lot. When we pulled up, we were greeted by a sales rep, who showed us a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit. We test drove the car, and nothing major jumped out at us, except for a check engine light. When I asked the sales rep, he told me that the service department will toggle the check engine light on to indicate that the car still has maintenance or cleaning in progress. Didn't think much of it, other than that it seems like it made sense to a degree. We told the rep that we were going to look at a few other options but would reach out in the next week or so. Flash forward to our second visit to AutoNation... Now that we were considering buying the Jeep, I did a more thorough check thru the vehicle, and test drove it a second time. This time, there was a weird pressure releasing sound when the AC compressor clutch engaged. I brought the issue up to the sales rep, who lied thru his teeth and said "every Cherokee and Durango makes that sound, trust me I own this same car." Our response was... "great, show me one other vehicle that makes that sound on this lot, and I'll drop it." After giving up on that approach (listened to several vehicles and no sound), I asked if we can evacuate the AC system and recharge... assuming that the low level was causing the refrigerant to pass as a gas where it should be liquid. The rep called the manager and a mechanic up from the service department, who made it their mission to make me feel dumb and like I didn't know what I'm talking about. After they assured me that I didn't know what I was talking about for the last time, I told them that we were going to walk, so they evacuated and recharged and what do you know... the sound went away. We thought this was a win, and decided to pull the trigger on the car. At this point the car goes down for the "Final wash" and the check engine light goes off. We purchase the car with a financing option in place, giving us 5 days to drop a check off for payment in full, and financing would be cancelled. We drive the car home and before we even make it home from the dealership, we get a check engine light. When I plugged my first scanner in (on the next key on cycle), I got no stored and no active codes, second scanner found a previously deleted camshaft position sensor stored code. The next day, we headed back to AutoNation to hopefully work out the check engine issue and to drop the $20k check off. When we got there, we were told that we HAD to hand over the check before service could look at the car... (I win the dumba** of the year award for handing that check over). We pay for the car and head down to the service center, assuming that since it was sold the day before, we would at least get a "Sorry this is happening, we'll get it worked out ASAP." Nope... Turns out that they wanted us to drop the check off so that this work could all be billed to the 3rd party insurance, instead of coming out of AutoNation's pocket. I fully believe that AutoNation knew that this car had lifter problems and needed a camshaft (at least) and lied to make the most profitable sale that they could. When I asked for a rental car of equal size, they told me that they would pay for the cheapest option, anything above that is on me to pay for. It's been a month of us having to pay out of pocket for part of the rental AND the manager of this location has received 4-6 messages from me with zero response. It gets better... I reached out to the sales rep, (since the service center doesn't talk to customers I guess) and left a message with all of the issues that we've been dealing with. He calls me back a while later from his personal phone (so he says) because he is afraid that the manager at his location is recording his calls and if he admits that they weren't completely honest, that he'll be retaliated against. Anyone from AutoNation corporate or the insurance company that has the phone plan which includes outgoing calls... I've been asking for an explanation for a month and radio silence, please find my info from the purchase of the white 2017 Grand Cheorkee from AutoNation CDJR Carlsbad in May 16, 2026... Shouldn't be too hard to find since you still have the car I paid for a month ago... -Kevin

After…read moreseveral weeks of searching and trying to work with other dealerships we are so grateful to have contacted this Mazda location. It was a bit of a drive for us but well worth it! My husband called in the AM to inquire about the vehicle and we were driving off the lot a few hours later. Austin was our salesman who helped us over the phone before driving all the way in. When we arrived Austin had the car ready, and numbers prepared just as he and my husband had discussed earlier that day. No gimmicks or extra sales pitches. We sealed the deal within 45 minutes and before driving away, he made sure to our gas tank filled which was nearly on empty and had the car detailed (other dealerships were only offering us a $6 express car wash next door!) so this was really appreciated. After going through a few unpleasant experiences at other dealerships, we left feeling confident that we made the right decision with this Mazda dealership. Working with finance was a breeze too. Though they offer you more and it may sound appealing it wasn't in our plans to purchase an extended warranty. Yoni was respectful of that and didn't push anything on us that we didn't want. Highly recommend them if you're looking into purchasing with Mazda. Thank you all so much for helping us through this process!

I purchased a certified pre owned Mazda, come to find out that 1 month later my oil tank was DRY and my the rotors on my wheels were so rusted that the mechanic that checked my car thought it was imported because the weather should not cause that kind of damage on a vehicle that was 2 years old. Also, had suspension issues. When we mentioned this to the dealership, they were very hush hush and non apologetic. Lastly, the back bumper on the car was a completely different paint finish than the rest of the car. It's hard to notice unless you are looking for it, but it's definitely there. The mechanic we bring it into believes that it may have been involved in an undocumented crash and was maybe switched out for parts. Online the vehicle said 11k miles and the sales guy said they just recieved it in the lot, but when we arrived, it was actually at 19k miles. Sounds super sketchy and they somewhat ruined my love for Mazdas (I have owned Mazdas all my life).

After repeated trips to the dealer, often for weeks at a time, the radiator failed around 5,000 miles and the transmission failed around 10,000. It is now in the shop for a third transmission repair attempt, this time at a different dealer, and has spent more than 90 days in the shop over about 1.5 years. Premier serviced the car and provided a loaner when one was available, and advisor Javier was genuinely sympathetic. Beyond that, the store told us resolution had to go through GM corporate. Corporate was difficult to deal with: our second case number was lost, and calls often went unreturned. After repeated dead ends, we hired a lemon-law lawyer. That process has been slow and frustrating, and it would have helped to feel the selling dealer stayed involved instead of handing us off. I like the Acadia's design and interior, and I'm sure this store is fine when a purchase goes smoothly. Our experience was not. If you buy here, don't count on much help past the service drive if the vehicle turns into a long repair and corporate fight.

I had spent about a week shopping for a new car: visiting dealerships, dealing with salespeople, and going back and forth pitting offers against each other. It was exhausting. After I asked him to check again, he found one saying I could arrive at 8:00 a.m. It was about 7:45 a.m. by then, so I asked whether he wanted me to come back at 8:00. He repeated that I would have to step aside if his appointment arrived. He also kept asking for the name of the person associated with the car. I told him it was Dr. Crapes, but he refused to refer to him as "Doctor" and repeatedly called him "Crapes," which came across as disrespectful and as though he intentionally did not want to acknowledge his title. His tone felt rude and sarcastic throughout the conversation. I told him that previous visits had also left me feeling uncomfortable at this dealership. He responded, "If that's the case, don't keep your car here. Are you sure you want to keep your car here?" That response was exactly why I was trying to explain how I felt. I asked him to order an Uber to take me home. The Uber took approximately 20 minutes to arrive, which made me feel as though the request had been delayed intentionally. This was the worst customer service experience I've had at an Audi dealership. I will never return to this dealership.
