I ended up stopping at The Biscuit Basket twice while passing through Modesto for another errand,…read moreand after the first visit, I specifically made a point to come back again. The first thing that stood out to me was the staff. Honestly, this might be one of the friendliest restaurant crews I've encountered in a long time. Both times I came in alone and sat at the counter/bar area, and I received prompt, attentive service the entire time. Coffee refills were constant, everyone was upbeat, and every request was handled happily. Both visits, I ordered the corned beef hash. On the second visit, they asked if I wanted the corned beef or tri-tip version, which I didn't even realize was an option the first time. I still went with the corned beef because it was that good. What really elevated the meal, though, was a recommendation from the waitress. I asked if they had any hot sauce with a little more flavor and heat than standard Tabasco, and she suggested ordering a side of their chili verde sauce. She explained it was essentially the flavorful sauce leftover from cooking their chili verde. It doesn't necessarily look impressive when it comes out, but for around $1.50, it was absolutely worth it. Great flavor, actually spicy, and it paired perfectly with the breakfast. Honestly, it ended up being one of the best breakfasts I've had in months. One thing to know is that this place gets busy. Both times I visited were weekdays, and it was still packed. The earlier you arrive, the better your chances of avoiding a wait, but clearly this place has built a loyal following for a reason. Overall, I would absolutely recommend The Biscuit Basket. Great food, outstanding service, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. Next time I'm driving through Modesto around breakfast time, I'll definitely be stopping again.

It is on their healthy menu)l. I got double egg whites, grilled slices of turkey lunch meat and a lightly toasted English Muffin with no butter. The food was delicious and prepared exactly as requested-, without any butter, oil or dairy. The staff was sure to prepare my food without any dairy due to my allergy and you could tell they take food allergies seriously here. Their black coffee is always hot and delicious. My friend got a sandwich and I don't remember what it was but she seemed to like it ok. My only complaint is that I felt like we had to keep flagging the waitress down for refills (they seated us in the far back "forgotten" corner). My food also came out cold. I had to ask them to warm it up. And it is FREEZING cold in there every time I go! I'll bring a blanket next time. Customer service was overall good and will go back just because I love the meal I ordered so much.

As this person knew what kinds of foods I liked, and had just dined there, it went to the top of my "let's go" list. As I happened, today my wife had the day off so away we went. Wow is all I can start with. From the moment another held the door for us, to the friendly greeting and smile of the young lady who waited on us at the counter to the decor and design inside and out, we immediately loved it. We found what we needed on the simple menu, accommodations from the git go, to even having a knife to cut our burgers in have (we rarely eat the whole thing right away). SOLID experience all around. Two burgers, sweet potato fries, fried zucchini and two ice teas was our meal. The burgers were tasty, the sides great, the staff on point start to finish, Ashley was our server and did an OUTSTANDING job all the way. We even had another customer hold the door on the way out. When I went to take a picture as we left, another fellow stopped so as not to walk into my shot. Wow again. If you love burgers, and are nearby, you need to try these folks' fare. You won't regret it.

I had always wanted to try it because it looked so inviting and I loved a good cheeseburger. We came with a party of 8 for my twin cousins birthdays and they were EXTREMELY nice and accommodating even though they do not take reservations they really helped us out to big tables together to include everyone and one of the servers with the long braid, forgot her name but gosh she was the SWEETEST and I love chatting with her! 10/10 service!! The food was absolutely delicious I noticed on the menu they sure has some GOOD lookin sandwiches but since it was my first time dining there, an their known for their burgers, I got the smashed cheeseburger which was SO good the cheese was delicately melted to perfection, I couldn't notice my cousin got the "mac and cheese burger" interesting choice but she had been there many times and swore on oh! Now the garlic fries and ranch? Those were spectacular! They even come out and sing happy birthday with banana pudding but we brought our own cake beverage it was such a big party. All and all it was DEElicious and I'd love to return to try their pesto chicken sandwich this place was perfection and made my cousins birthday dinner totally perfect!!!

This worked fine for us. We had our menus and drinks in a reasonable time, and had a relaxing time throughout. We both had the pulled pork sandwich along with the ice tea. I also had the cup of chili - nicely spiced). I enjoyed my sandwich (skipping the bun, as I am trying to limit carbs). My friend, whom I realized often fusses about the meals we share, was more critical. His comments were "Wrong bun, hamburger bun shoulda been an onion bun" and "How long does it take to make a sandwich?" (The wait time was totally reasonable to me.) He didn't like the potato salad (but ate it all with little time spared). He liked the meat in the sandwich, giving it a 5 out of 5. He liked the service less (I felt it was on point and just fine.) The twisted pig is a good place to eat, if it is noisy inside (as it often is) check out the patio.

The flavors and combinations of how they made their sauce for the brussels sprouts. The little bit of cheese, the roasting, just perfectly. Those Brussels spouts were man. Oh, man, so so good. I mean, I was surprised there were any left at the end of lunch because they were so good. Then there was the deep fried pickles. Pickles are just something that you have to either love Em or you hate Em. But deep fried pickles are just that sour taste that I just have to have. I have to have a sweet and a sour and pickles are just that for us. So we enjoyed them. They were just crispy enpugh on the outside with just a nice firm bite of the pickle, tender. And then that bitterness was really good. And then our main meal came, and there is enough food on that platter for two people to share. So if you're getting it for one, you better be a hearty guy like you gotta be a lumberjack guy to eat this all by yourself. Because this is like a platterful. There is like 6 ribs on that plate, 2 mouds of the pulled pork, 2 big huge scoops of macaroni n cheese and like a bag of those tater tots, then they drizzle, drizzle, drizzle, barbecue sauce. All over it, it was just like mouthwatering. When it hit the table. It smelled so good, it was just amazing. And then we just dove in a little bit, tried this a little bit of that, the ribs fell off the bone. It was so good. Now the restaurant is small and looks like it is a locals kinda spot so it is semi loud with sports and men chopping it up, but there were ladies sitting at various tables and a couple of families so it is semi family friendly if you dont mind the bar aspect that is bigger than the eating area in my opinion. We only seen one staff member on the floor and one behind the bar while we were there, but the service was quick and the ladies were attentive so it was a good experience. The decor needs an update and it had a 4 out of 5 vibe for me, but I rate food not people so I would go back for that.

Absolutely love the NOLA ambiance. Would've great to have some more jazz to the music or something. But overall, really cute "bayou" eatery. It was so hard to choose from the menu, but I was craving some French toast. Everything was amazing including the over medium eggs and crispy bacon were cooked just right! The beignets are not deep southern/ Café du Monde, however, I approve of them as they came hot and ready with a handful of sauces. Highly recommended asking for more powdered sugar if you know what I mean. Them thangs needs to be sugared up! And they're huge! I could only eat one before I could eat my main item! They do to-go with the beignets as well! If you sign up on their website, you can get free beignets! Just show the email! Swamp Tea! It's very raspberry-tea like. My coworker said they make their drinks "super sweet". I've head sweeter- but not to knock on that Swamp Tea- it was delicious and served in a wide-mouth jar! HUGE! So delicious. There is I believe boba on the bottom which I hadn't noticed until I was pouring it in the to-go cup! I'll be back! I hadn't realized there were more than just one location and if I'd know there was a few in Fresno/Clovis, I would've been had it! I feel they def need to play the "Princess and the Frog" soundtrack. Ain't no other way, yall. But that stop my five star review for the folks that can make me feel like I'm home.

I ordered the honey walnut shrimp combination but asked for all chow mein since I'm not a big fan of fried rice for $16.31 with card after taxes. I believe there's a 2-3% additional charge if you use card, but I could be remembering incorrectly. Definitely call and ask or bring cash! The shrimp was fantastic. It had the right amount of batter, wasn't overcooked whatsoever and the shrimp was nice and bouncy. The sauce wasn't overly sweet or artificial tasting either! The chow mein was okay. Noodles slightly overcooked and on the verge of being mushy and as I continued eating it got extremely salty so I had to stop. Unfortunately will not be getting it again! A ton of these reviews are saying they pack the food here.. pack where? There is way too much space in the box. So I ordered the #26 Mongolian beef combination that has fried rice and chow mein. The fried rice and chow mein is already premade and behind the glass counter. The chow mein had a little pork with their noodles. Lucky for me, the Mongolian beef was cooked to order and just took about 6 mins wait. To me, this is what I consider the ideal Mongolian beef. Thin beef slices that is brown in appearance with a nice glaze. It comes with tons of green onions, chili peppers and onions and topped with crispy rice noodles. Theres a nice "hot" as in flavor taste to it but not strong. It's my favorite and I feel this beats Panda Express any day. 5 stars The place probably is busier during lunch being downtown so when i picked up my order, it was close to 5 pm and wasn't that busy. Thing that I notice is their menu on the wall says $12.50 for my #26 Mongolian beef combo and when I ordered 2, the guy just used his memory to punch in $28.85 on my credit card. So sales tax is 8.88% now and when I did the calculation, it should have been less. Not sure whether they didn't update their wall menu price. But that kind of irked me since I know some places charge an added fee for using a cc (which they have no disclosure). Either way, don't rely on their wall prices if you order there in person. Door dash has this priced at $15 for pick up but i ordered it at the counter when I got there. Still, one of the better Chinese food in Modesto
