Presentation 10/10, taste 2/10.... Gross and so expensive

So expensive and my plate wasn't good. Presentation was nice but that was it. Service was whatever

Ceviche tostada, fish taco, shrimp taco and fried shrimp plate

I got recommended this taco truck by a customer and business owner who said he and all his guys eat there. The owner is Edel and his wife run this truck and a trailer that they take to local businesses. They are very nice and welcoming. My dad and I ordered a bunch of stuff since it was our first time. I am usually a little apprehensive of ordered sea food when not close to the sea. Everything was good. Thinking about going back right now

Fish tacos aren't on the menu but I asked in the window and she said "claro que si mija" and they were bomb. Lots of fish on the taco and perfect amount of cabbage and sauces. The salsa was perfectly spicy. Tacos Gobe were also delicious. Love that this is close to home.

DON'T get confused with the other place down the street with the same name. Its the food truck next to mariscos la roca. "Testy Culiacan" The prices are reasonable, the food is good and not to mention the special home made red hot sauce that they separate themselves from the competition. Its a spot you must try. Its hard to come across a place like this. I take a 20 minute drive all the time to go and eat there and its well worth it.

What I've tried was decent. I had the shrimp cocktail. It was nice to have a cool option on a screaming hot day.

Service ok. Good food. My go to is the shrimp quesadilla and their tacos are good for it being a marisco truck.

We've tried many different Mexican restaurants in the last two years after moving here. We've gone to Hughson, Waterford, Oakdale and Modesto, however, Frida's is the best. The staff is friendly and courteous, checking in with us without having to get their attention. Thank you! Large portions, always taking home the rest. A good selection on the menu makes it easier to decide what to have, also they offer all our favorites. On our first visit I had the chili relleno dinner plate, ( the absolute best I've ever had), my husband had the enchilada plate (2 chicken and 2 chili verde) you can choose the meat. Today we went again, this time I had the chili verde super burrito (omg excellent ) my husband had the chicken taco's, again took 1/2 home for later. The chips are house made as well as the salsa, the salsa is perfect and delicious. We met the owner Angel and told him about trying other places and letting him know we thought his is the best. He sent us home with a bag of chips and salsa, then he sent a flan home with us to enjoy...... That's hospitality to the MAX! Totally a nice jester on his part. We appreciate everything. See you soon.Thank you Angel

My only real recommendation is to avoid sitting in the bar area if you're in a hurry. Service there tends to move a lot slower, so it can take a while to get your order in and get your food. The restaurant itself is a little run down, and the bathrooms could definitely use some attention, but the bar and outside area is decorated nicely and has a good atmosphere overall. All in all, it's a great local spot and one I keep going back to.

Instead of trying to resolve the situation or make it right, the manager, Noah, became argumentative and tried to debate what had been said rather than listen to the customer. After waiting that long, the last thing anyone expects is to feel like they have to argue just to be heard. What made it more disappointing was the lack of willingness to fix the issue or offer a solution. We came in hoping for a good meal and left feeling frustrated and unheard. It's sad because good service could have easily turned this into a positive experience. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. At the end of it he realized and came back and finally apologized.

The complimentary chips along with their salsa and beans paired amazingly well. I proceeded to get the choose three build your own combo with a beef taquito(pictured), green chicken enchilada, and a chicken burrito. The beef taquito was first of all huge, the biggest one that I have ever seen. It came with plenty of toppings including guacamole, sour cream, cheese, cabbage, and tomatoes. The burrito was decent, definetely could have used at least some more salsa, ended up being a filler on my plate. I saved the best for last, the classic enchilada was smothered in a delicious salsa that I dipped my other two items into. If you want to try out different things and get a good amount of food for your money, you can't go wrong with the build your own combo, especially from this establishment. Apart from the food, the service exceeded my expectations and it is perfect for your next casual dining experience.

I asked for grilled chicken and got stewed chicken with absolutely zero flavor. They said it came with guacamole and sour cream--neither were anywhere to be found. The "salad" was basically lettuce, pico, and whole beans with a super tiny portion overall. I added bell peppers and onions, maybe five pieces total, and they hit me with a $6 upcharge. Would've been nice to know that before so I could've said no thanks. Final price for this subpar salad? $25. I actually had to go back just to show them. The bar manager, Hamad (spelling), tried to help by adding more chicken and then told me the sour cream and guac were "under the shell." Really? Who hides condiments under the shell? Total waste of time and money. I'm done. No more chances.
