Fast and amazing! Ordered a pizza for pickup using the mobile app and it was ready in less than 15 minutes. Reasonable price for a Detroit-style pan big enough for me to eat half and save half. I'm excited that I'll be able to enjoy this one for two meals. I ordered the Margherita pizza andthe edges were perfectly crispy, the crust was the right amount of chewy. The pickup shelf is clearly labeled, so getting in and out was a breeze. I'd like to return for a sit-down lunch with family or coworkers though because they have a lot of nice seating in a space that feels very cozy for being in a busy shopping center. This pizza was the welcome to fall I didn't know I needed. I love the regular menu here and have had plenty of pizza and pasta in the past but I've got to say I LOVE Brasserie's French onion soup. So you tell me they mash the pizza with French onion and I have to get in the car! It was definitely a good choice too! The flavors came together incredibly well with the crispy edges of the crust replacing crutons and the beef stock and carmelized onions and cheese doing there thing on top of that crust! Now, let me point out something I think is obvious. The service and atmosphere at Porano is not at the level of Brasserie, but rating it for what it is, it gets all the points. I used the kiosk as the team was busily making deliciousness in the kitchen. I sat down and after they made my pizza, they brought it out. Sometimes they call your name/number to get your lunch to you but they weren't real busy while I was there. There is a foosball table if you want to take a crack at it. Porano was my go-to when I frequented the downtown location @ MX. I've since moved to the county and Porano has not only followed me but resurrected itself! I'm sure I've been at least 4 times in the past year. It's a good place to stop for a weekday lunch or for a relatively quick meal. It isn't as quick as Chipotle or Qdoba, but close enough considering it's being cooked to order. My dining companion enjoyed a salad. I had a cheese pizza on my last visit. It's Detroit style, but not as tall at Jet's. I had asked a couple of staff members to describe the pizza and they undersold it as a pomodoro sauce with mozzarella cheese. That pomodoro sauce had a little hint of red wine... maybe it wasn't that, but whatever it was, it was so good and it will probably be my new standard item at Porano. Food was pretty decent. The vodka chicken parm did come with a nice sized cutlet. It was seasoned pretty well, but slightly dry. The bowl itself could've used a bit more sauce. The focaccia was really good, however, I would've loved to have been able to order butter. At home I added butter and the bread was divine! Atmosphere of the restaurant is nice, semi casual With a clean, modern aesthetic. Service was okay. I think the team member was confused with some of my questions. I'd recommend submitting a mobile or or using the kiosk so you get what you need and don't have to wait for food as long. I was more so thinking this would be like a crew serve where everything is out on a line for you to make your bowl, but there's a separate kitchen in the back where everything is prepared. Found this gem while visiting family in St. Louis. The pizza is delicious-soooo cheesy and perfect thickness for deep dish. The salad was pretty tasty too. I'm so happy to see Porano come back! I used to go quite often when they were located downtown because it was a generally pretty quick lunch place with many options and great portions. The portions are still big and very shareable! I slightly miss watching them assemble the meal, but like how open the place is so it's ok if they put it together in the back. On my most recent visit, we were able to quickly order at the kiosk at the front - 2 pasta bowls and the risotto balls. I'd like to preface this by saying that I have always loved all Niche group restaurants. I even donated to their employee fund during Covid. I was surprised to find this restaurant completely empty at dinner time on a Wednesday evening. I haven't been to this location before & was happy to find them out "west," so I took a little bit of time to read the menu and then place my order on the order pad. I was there for several minutes without being greeted and figured it out for myself. I ordered the pasta with meatballs and added red pepper. I didn't notice if they actually added the red pepper because I didn't see it so I added some red pepper flakes from the shaker on a side table. The pasta dish was just meh. The meatballs were small and dense. I was expecting a richer flavor from the pasta & meatballs with some funkiness from the pecorino Romano. I asked for a side of Alfredo, hoping it would add a depth of flavor, but I didn't care for the Alfredo sauce. It didn't taste fresh. The pasta itself was cooked perfectly. Overall I was underwhelmed and based on this visit, I probably would not return unless invited. I would try the smoky Sugo next. Came for dinner following a happy hour event nearby. The restaurant was very quiet around 7pm on a Thursday, perhaps more of a lunch and takeout spot. The staff was 5-stars, so friendly and helpful. However, the food kind of missed the mark for me. The noodles themselves were good, but the sauce (I did red pepper) was sooo oily and the seasonal vegetables were actually just the green bean side thrown on top of my pasta. Porano is back and I'm sooooo happy!!! It has always been my kind of fast casual restaurant. I finally got my passport in order and crossed over 270 today to try the new location. As expected, Gerard Craft did not disappoint me. I went with the Chicken Chopped Salad and loved every bite. Flavorful and pretty, the salad was the perfect answer post bike ride. And then there was the focaccia and olive oil. That's the stuff that dreams are made of. Service was OUTSTANDING. Everyone was so darn friendly. This is an order at the counter restaurant. There is a kiosk where you can place your order on a tablet and a register where a person can take your order. The guy at the register was very personable and brought our order to the table (they weren't busy). I got a notice on my phone when the order was ready so I think normally you'd go pick it up. The dining room was very clean. The food was fine. I got the chicken Alfredo bowl. The noodles were al dente, but I prefer my pasta a bit softer. I ate all the chicken but threw most of the noodles away. The risotto balls were good but the sauce was too thin and watery. My dining partner got the Mediterranean bowl which looked good but was a little more spicy than she was expecting. But it does have the word spicy in the description. I wasn't blown away and won't hurry back, but I might like to try their pizza. read more

We picked up take out on our way to st Charles. The ease of ordering ahead was really great. It was ready right when we requested it. As first time customers we ordered a variety of dishes to share so we could try a little of everything. Chicken Parmesan bowl, chicken Alfredo bowl with crispy chicken breast, arancini, focaccia bread, pepperoni pizza, meatball pizza, and a cheese pizza with white sauce. I have to admit I was underwhelmed. The chicken in both dishes was very dark and dry- definitely over cooked. The vodka sauce was so spicy we were unable to eat it. I wish the menu would have said it was spicy. The Alfredo pasta was good. The pasta was a bit more al dente than I like but I still liked it. The pizzas were good, but nothing I'll crave. I felt like they were similar to a big dinner box pizza from Pizza Hut unfortunately. The arancini were great! I liked them dipped in red sauce which was good and flavorful. I ordered the side salad and the Pepperoni Detroit style pizza. I've had this pizza at the original Porano and Pastaria Deli & Wine. It's delicious. The crust has a lacy crispy edge where the cheese caramelizes against the pan. This particular one was slightly under sauced, had too much cheese, and needed another minute in the oven. The cup & char pepperoni are good. It's not as tall as most Detroit style pizzas and I like that. The salad was fresh and customizable. I got the anchovy dressing, crispy garlic, and green olives. Arrived on their second day of opening and we were greeted by someone right away. She explained the menu and offered to help if needed. She was very kind and cared about our experience! I ate at the original Porano's Pasta downtown a couple of times and it was very delicious so I was very happy to find out that it was reopened in West County. So I made my way there and decided to have the Detroit-style pizza that was wonderful. We ordered a spicy sausage and meatball pizzas and the pizza was a perfect meal for one adult and the side salad was good and I loved the green olives that I had added but my friend didn't care for the bread crumbs on top of his Caesar salad and would rather have actual croutons but said the anchovy dressing on the salad was delicious. We shared each of our pizzas and I really liked the spicy sausage pizza even more than my meatball pizza I ordered but both were pretty great. The service was friendly and food came out quickly.
