I first searched online for florists near my friend's neighborhood, so that the delivery charge wouldn't be too large. Blooms 'n Boxes advertised free delivery within a three mile radius of their location. Although my friend's home is beyond that radius, I called the shop anyway, having been impressed with the arrangements, and hoping to get a deal on delivery. I didn't know at the time, but it was the owner who answered my call. She was very personable, and there was no audible flinching at my admitting a limited budget but a big desire to make my friend smile. Not only did she work with me on bouquet design ideas, but she gave me an unbeatable deal on delivery, too. All in all, she allowed me to stick to my budget, and was very friendly about it, as well. I asked if she could take a photo of the finished product and e-mail it to me with the receipt. I wasn't expecting anything fancy or large, but I underestimated the owner's generosity and joy in her work with flowers. My friend's reaction was just filled my heart! She understood our vision and enhanced it with her own great ideas along the way. When we first set out to hire a decorator I was afraid they would try inserting their own taste or push a style we didn't like, but with Michelle that never happened. Of course, there were times where I wanted a particular look, and she gently made it clear that "it doesn't work." Moreover, she gave very thoughtful logical reasoning on why it doesn't work, which I would then understand and agree with her. So thankful that she stopped us in those instances! Overall, our ideas and vision were supported and enhanced. She definitely knows what she is doing. Little tricks here and there that make a world of difference. Although Michelle can get very busy, she would always try and squeeze us in somewhere. Due to building process I was forced to make some quick decisions and I could always count on her to get her opinion in time.
