I went to At Home and *finally* found a trunk the size and color I'd been looking for for months! I was so excited. I purchased the one they had in-store and subsequently placed an online order for five more. I never received correspondence except for the order received and order shipped notifications. I was so excited when my order of five trunks arrived -- until I opened the box and found only one. I went straight online and looked at my order history which showed two trunks had been "cancelled" and three had shipped. When I looked more closely at the shipment notification, I noticed it only listed one. (I admit to not having read all the way down and only looked at the expected delivery date.) So I was very happy with the item I found, but am very disappointed with the lack of communication -- even inconsistencies in their order history. I've reached out to customer service, but really if they had let me know I couldn't get all five, I would have cancelled my order.

On the hunt for Halloween decor and other home goods, we stopped in At Home…read more We love the variety of selections with patterns, colors and textures on their everyday home items like towels, placemats and more. They usually have a good amount of seasonal items. They had their fall and Halloween items out and displayed and separated by season and holidays and we noticed that some seasonal and holidays items are repeats from last year. They try to provide new and fresh items for the current year which is nice but they were a few items we saw last year that we were hoping they would bring back but didn't. Either way we had a great time browsing and looking at the displays. My only gripe is I wanted a certain tablecloth and they had limited selection and availability.

It's new, rah-rah!…read more So, the TL;DR: not urban. Not loft. Not worth much time, imho. In long form: Gotta come clean: I don't get the capitalization problem in the name. "Every kiss begins with K," this is not. I also don't get the use of the words "Urban" or "Loft" to describe a shop that has the feel of a Christian study group, facebook- edgy (it's all in the "humorous" signs, right? [shakes head no, slowly in response]), Red Brick Cottage or Back Home (just slighly less emphasis on primitive or car-pool country, respectively) gift shop. Differences: Modern building. Lots of space. It's clean and fairly well organized. The graphic they're branding looks like a cross between a choir and a barn loft. Beautifully drawn, but nothing urban or remotely sophisticated about products or styling. I (unfortunately) turned up because of the words "Urban" and "Loft," expecting products appropriate for either setting, none of which were remotely what is stocked: pseudo-country generic fra-fra. Even given my mistaken impression, judging from opening and their holiday open house, they appear to buy collections from the usual suspects when they go to market and that's about the extent of things, judgment-wise, as far as their "style story." Shop meets none of my (minimal) expectations: a gift shop that at least offers a coherent (holding breath on 'unique') style, with quality products. In other words, there's a lot of matchy-matchy, not much coherence or underlying style / taste and it's all made in Asia. They hit all the expectations, in completely average ways: wine area, pet area, Harley / John Deere area, "I have a lake house" area, infants, a fair amount of "aw, menz are not us womenz," seasonal items, random kitchen items, blah, blah, blah....I'm already bored. Overall: not curated or decorated effectively. Only noteworthy thing that would bring me back: they stock a very small selection of luminara / mystique (new name, same brand, many old tones do not match their corresponding new tones, fyi, for long time brand fans) candles. Very limited sizes (like, they had one taper, one pillar, and that was pretty much it), only in one tone. They're priced high, but at least there isn't additional shipping time, if you need one in a pinch. They also have a few options for battery powered led string lights; but either they've picked the wrong suppliers or their prices are *shakes head*. What is worse, when I had questions about both their mystique / leds and whether they could order in other sizes, they basically looked at me like I had an active chainsaw arm adapter. Yeah, awesome, that.

I have been in the shop several times. The have great service and wonderful gift ideas and items.read more

Loved that coat, til I lost it in a bar on St. Paddy's in Boston. I weep for that coat... In those days, they were all about turnover and donations and great mens' clothes in women's wearable sizes. They did a good job of sorting the crap out, stocking stuff people actually wanted to purchase and tossing (or recycyling - dunno) the rest. These days, they're located in a huge house across from First Federal Savings Bank, next to a house that is also associated with pet protection in some way, though I'm not entirely sure how. And all the fra-fra makes its way in the doors, it seems. They're fairly cranky about shoppers now, though, and by that, I mean...it doesn't really seem like they want anyone to come in the shop. They certainly don't want you to do so with any sort of extraneous items (per signage), whether your wallet, cell, or whatever, but even when I've left my purse / bag in the car, I'm not sure I've ever gotten anything other than a suspicious scowl when I walk in, despite keeping my hands clear at all times and turning anything I want to buy in to the cashier nearly as soon as I touch it. And they're pretty...um...verbal about their crankiness. Their pricing these days is fairly cray-cray, especially considering that their items are donated. The items that they like (whether they're actually valuable or not) are up-priced, which inevitably means that most "statement" decor items or things that would otherwise be au courant, stick around in the shop forever. Don't even bother with anything in a case - it's been there for years, and for a reason. ETA: Per a nasty message I received, ten spot is more - well - editorial usage than the eighteen dollars plus tax I spent on my wrecked, now lost, well-loved pea coat. I know exactly how much I spent on it, as I went without lunch money for a month to pay for it and it kept me as warmish as I could expect from a threadbare coat with no lining for 18$ plus tax for six years. So, maybe, reign in the judgement and belligerence, K? As, after all, it was a shredded piece of clothing no one but a broke-ass punk kid could get away with wearing in public, from jump. And it was 1991. I truly wish the owner's comments were still available here (from her removed review of her own shop) as there is no better indication of how little she esteems her customers than her own sentiment (though there are also several "not recommended" reviews that seem completely legit, that leave a distinct impression on this topic - including belligerent response to a child shoplifter - really. SMH.). I've donated entire rooms-full of tchotchkeys, antiques and homegoods to this place...and have been treated like a convicted, tagged and tattooed shoplifter every time I walk through the door. I dealt with it because I wanted to help animals locally and felt this was my only option, despite it all. It's good news that they make over 2 mil on gaming as reported to the state - because they should close their shop, which appears of late to be an intentional profit sink at around 1% of that (gross), minus operational costs (they use this shop to justify staffing and other overhead costs). I no longer feel obligated to deal with their nonsense belligerence to contribute to the community after reviewing their public record filings. Done, done, done (both as a donor and a buyer - and for the record, I want organizations I care about to have money to use in the service of clients, not homegoods to dust in the hope of a purchase someday, by an idiot too stupid to know the value of things).

It seemed pretty well organized. I did like finding out that they support the animals of the county (I am new to the area). I have dropped off several donations since. They have an area by the back door that you can leave items even when they are closed. Which is very convenient. Need a book , a knick knack or a pair of jeans ? They probably have it. A large mix of thrift store and antique items. I will visit again.
