Somehow I ran across this beautiful store on Facebook and became a "member" (which is free) so I could participate on their "live" shows and shop any other time too. Very reasonable prices and the ladies who model etc look like me (as opposed to a skinny unrealistic model) so I can really see what the garment will look like on me. Me and my family along with some friends was on a day trip on Bardstown when we stopped In at this lovely store. The decor and setup here is pretty awesome. Very fancy and unique items here. They had everything from furniture, house decor, clothing, and books here. Some items were very high priced and others very reasonable. So a nice mixed bag here. Overall we had a good time browsing even though on this particular trip we did not make a purchase. Rather large store and looked like one worker who was busy working behind the counter but in our brief encounter he seemed pretty nice and friendly. Overall cool shop that's very unique.

She had the lavendar lemon cake that she thought was decent. Now my daughter, who is 12 and a very picky eater didn't want anything off the menu but I figured she would eat the cheese and pepperoni plate on the kids meal. However, because she was not 10 the waitress said she couldn't have it. That's fine, I will respect the rules of the place but I was taken a back by their unwillingness to even have me pay for it but just charge her as an adult. My child is literally a chicken nuggets and french fry child. She eats nothing outside of her safe foods. She was fine just sitting there but geesh, they were really strict about this $6 dollar kid menu item. Eventually the waitress asked the manager I suppose and I was told exactly "we will only allow it for this one time". Well that pretty much sealed the deal. I was pretty sure there wouldn't be a second time. As stated, my meal was great. I'm thankful they had the special because honestly there wasn't anything on the menu that stood out for me. If it weren't for the special, I probably would have had the soup of the day, tomato cream basil. Our server just did not make me feel as if she either enjoyed working there or she enjoyed serving us. I'm not sure which one but I won't be back to find out. There were ladies cleaning the outside windows at the log cabin. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and seemed to like their jobs. They allow dogs on the property and inside when making a purchase/taste testing. They gave our dogs treats and the staff welcomed them in. The property is beautiful and great to take dogs on a walk. We enjoyed our day and may go back tomorrow depending on the specials!!

I could've stayed there sampling all day. Unfortunately, we didn't have time for a full tour, but the tasting experience more than made up for it. The line into the gift shop was a little long (as expected at a popular spot), but it was well organized and moved quickly. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout. I ended up leaving with several excellent bottles to haul back to California--definitely worth the drive and the extra weight in the car! If you're a bourbon fan, Buffalo Trace is a must-stop. Great atmosphere, fantastic products, and solid operations even on a busy day. We'll be back next time we're in Kentucky! Highly recommended. Cheers!
