I had a great experience at Hobby Lobby in Elizabethtown. The store was very clean and organized which made it easy to find exactly what I needed without wandering around. The selection of home decor, crafts, and seasonal items was impressive and everything felt well stocked. The staff was friendly and helpful when I had a question about where to find a specific item. Checkout was quick and smooth and I did not feel rushed at all while browsing. Overall it was a relaxing shopping trip and I left with everything on my list plus a few extra things I did not plan on getting. I really enjoy going into Hobby Lobby if I have an idea and don't really know what I would like but manage to go in and get the image all worked out. BUT!!! this is 2025 and why don't have registers have a way to use a scan gun to make it quicker? This typing it in and looking for pricing is crazy. Also why is it your cashiers always look so unhappy NEVER smile, say Thank you or ask for you to return? They look like they don't want to be there. Went in and it's crazy busy and all the cashiers looked pissed off... For a Christian based business you would think the people who work there would be happier. I will keep shopping there however they need to speed up the checkout process and have a separate one for returns that has some there that knows how to do it. read more

Rainchecks mean absolutely nothing at Hobby Lobby! I have NOT as of this date ( February 5, 2021) received a phone call. I know items came in because I've seen them on the floor several times since I requested. They are very passive-aggressive! Sure we'll help you. We'll call you. All the time knowing they have no intention of doing so. I did purchase the items but made the one hour drive (vs 10 minutes to Elizabethtown) to get this table and chair set for grandkids. Be careful shopping here close to Christmas. I tried to stop there today at 11:00am on a Tuesday 5 days before Christmas. I could see at least 6 or 7 employees in uniform but only two were working the cash registers and each register had at least 40 people in its line. I've had okay and bad experiences here. Sometimes the cashiers have a brain and can actually check you out without any real issues and sometimes it is so bad that I just walk away. Trying to return something must be the equivalent of brain surgery to them, so I try to only buy things I know I won't need to return. The pros of this place are: they have a great selection of crafts and home decor, they have really good clearance prices, and it is always clean. The cons, besides the check-out process mentioned above, are: their prices are outlandish, they put up 50% sales signs that only bring the price down to normal range, and you can only use the 40% off coupon on one full price item. I usually only come here if Michael's doesn't have what I'm looking for. read more

ETA: Truly not sure how I'm the first to review, except for some guy employed as an asm clearly giving himself five stars to kickstart his social media presence...store opened (I'm fairly sure) over the summer, at some point last year. Staff here at present appear to have never held grown-people jobs before, both in terms of function and customer service (and my visit was during school hours). There were literally 10 (apparently - I counted) paid (I assume, they were all in uniform) staff members working on restocking a standard, stock t-shirt display that takes up less than 15 square feet of footprint. People: they had folks on other folks shoulders & hanging from perches to get a simple series of t shirts stocked. OSHA training, ftlog. If they really need to do what they're doing, the way they were doing it, it needs to happen when a precocious four year old can't just bowl them over with a badly managed shopping cart. But as a customer, I suppose it wouldn't be fair to rate on having educated management, staffing, and 'associate' management. Fine. SO: Typical HL. This one is new; small to average-ish footprint. Same absolutely shitty layout from the split specialty areas to the crappy, "given the crowdblob, which side is the open register again???" guessing game layout as all HLs I've experienced. Waiting my turn for the cashier included a five-plus minute overheard other-people's family catch-up session with the person just before me after her purchases were completed. Fine. I want to say something, but I'll be "nice." Finally, they're done discussing baby plans and I can actually check out. On deck, I expect staff to "cashier" my purchases for checkout, not "check out" my purchases, calling over the cashier Buddha (just guessing, given his demeanor; dudebro was exhaling "My last job was executive director of my lemonade stand" fumes...) to announce loudly, "I really need to find one of these, except, ya know, with, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, for my blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah blah, blah, blah, blah for my blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, plus +reasons+ and +stuff+, do we carry anything like that, Hobby Lobby cashier mini-Buddha?" Well, ok, she didn't call him the Hobby Lobby cashier mini-Buddha. But there was eye-ball-level sprain-potential given these adults-acting-like-tweens seriously engaged in several minutes of flirty banter (while the cashier had literally not directed a single word to me, at all, not a greeting, not a sigh, not even a glance, upon beginning to scan my items or throughout my transaction. I guess she used all her words chatting with the customer before me while I waited like it was my job.). Poor HLCMB thinks she like-likes him... :-/ Ugh. Newly constructed building, though. Didn't know Yelp discounted positive reviews from new users but had to mention that it's been over three years and still shop weekly. Despite the negative nelly and purely tainted review that counts. Plus the total delusional nonsense about this reviewer this place rocks!!!!!! Their excellent performance has been sustainable for an extended period of time. This is rare and delightful. The store never disappoints! Next to my coffee and newspaper early AM at the local McDonalds I enjoy shopping and the folks at my Local Hobby Lobby. read more

We love having a Hobby Lobby here in Elizabethtown. If I ever have a question or a problem, the staff is pleasantly ready to help. It is clean, organized, and wonderful!
