I have found them hard to get on the phone, and when I do, overly brisk/abrupt, and defensive about their sometimes confusing stock & shipping policies. For example, I recently placed an order for an item. I landed on the Woolery to buy it because my online search produced a google listing from the Woolery that *specifically said the item was in stock*. I called to double check it was in stock, but no one answered the phone. The online store said "Shipping in 7-10 days" which made it sound like yes, they had the item in stock. So I ordered. I got an email the next day saying that the item was not in stock, as the manufacturer is closed for the next 3 weeks, and it will ship after that. I called to cancel the order, and the person answering the phone was quite quick to blame me for misunderstanding - "You can add it to your cart, but that doesn't mean we have it in stock" and "it SAYS 7-10 days shipping, you should have seen that, which is typical for a drop ship from a manufacturer" and "The website doesn't say we had it in stock, we never keep large items in stock, we don't have the room in our warehouse." Then, she seemed unhappy to cancel the order.

Even if you catch someone who's new to the store or unfamiliar with crafting, they're usually able to point you to someone who knows a bit more. I really wish they sold fabric. An employee recently told me plans to sell fabric were scrapped in favor of selling themed party supplies, which is fine I suppose but with Joann's gone and Michael's advertising that they're going to be selling Joann's products now, this feels like a really big missed opportunity. I'd been wanting them to sell fabric since they opened and I was starting to get hopeful that it might really happen soon.

I had never done an amazon return at a UPS point, so I wasn't sure how it worked... would they box it up? Would I need to bring my own box/tape? We come crashing into the store with a bag of packing tape, scissors, and a box at 8:15 pm, when they're going to close at 9:00--- we were an absolute disaster, but Sky was so kind and patient with us!! Amazing customer service, and very friendly! The return made it to amazon on time (this was literally the last day to return it, so I'm so glad they were able to process it) and all worked out! We also got some summer garden items for 70%, so that's a win! Always love fake tropical plants!
