All of those things I stay awake thinking about from yesterday's long gone now, but all alive and we'll within me, and in my basement and attic. "Vintage" search populated just south of nothing, well - there was an address and a name but it looked weird, I believe there was a dash and a random letter sitting curiously upon the end, so I went to check it out. Yes, you guessed it - it was a booth in the mall. Bummer? Heck no! What an opportunity to walk and explore the mall world with a few exceptions to my early mall memory. For one thing, it was on one floor - Queens Center Mall, NYC 1986, the gold standard to me. There were no people either - not in the booths, not walking around - nobody as in nobody, minus the two girls at the very front of the store. Actually I became aware that malls can be all on one floor once I was out of the New York area. Visions of Day of The Dead began, the second George Romero zombie movie after Dawn of The Dead, back then zombies were smarter than they are now, just like some people I know now. Ya ever feel dumber walking away from a conversation with someone you knew years ago and hadn't seen in a while and - well, it's just hard for me to ingest that. Anyway, those zombies entered a mall, what a great horror movie - actually, all the movies in that series were excellent - any horror fans out there? So I bought a few shirts, nice quality cotton tees with a picture of an angry bear on one and a skull on the other and slashed the sleeves off the moment I got to the urban assault vehicle. I've been steadily working out, I'm driving a bit slow with NYC plates in foreign territory, I'm gonna show the cannons - which they're not, but have size when I squeeze the steering wheel in just such a way. There was a pair of boots that I really liked but I had questions about them and nobody was there and to ask about returning them or - ya kno- it just wasn't the right time, but I loved the place. Anything non- perishable was there in 8x10 booth sections, lots of vintage lamps and cool leathers..

What I like about this shop as well was that the booths were very organized and the whole place feels clean. You could spend a 1+ hours exploring the glass cases and decorated rooms. Each inch is packed with merchandise. My favorite area was the book room! Hundreds of titles to explore in the back corner. Since you'll be there awhile, might as well grab an ice cream cone too. Help is available at the front desk - with the spaces being the responsibility of the sellers, there's not a reason for them to be embedded in the selling spaces. The primary reason for 4 stars is the pricing. It's on the higher end and after a while I lost the excitement of browsing because I wasn't going to say yes to that level of splurge. I also spotted a few things I had at home - in no way are these items antique or ever worth that amount of money. It made me question the value of other items and the pricing. So much for supporting small businesses I won't ever buy from anyone on that street again if this is how things are handled. I got it out to wrap it for my mom before I go back to Texas was going to walk it next-door as a Christmas present and it's clearly marked demo the lady pulled it from wherever her stock was there is no way it's got scratches all over there's no way I can give it as a Christmas present. It's one thing to make a mistake it's another thing especially before Christmas to tell somebody that it's their responsibility to drive over 65 70 miles to rectify a mistake they made and then refused to even give my message to a manager or an owner. Just wow. We have been down there so many times and my grandmother was actually from that city and I never expected that kind of treatment from somebody in a hometown. I will never support small businesses again. It's one thing if somebody makes a mistake it's another thing to be treated that way and their refusal to make it right. My nephew brought bought $150 train from there I told him to check in and make sure it works. This is why I don't buy from small businesses. Because they can get by with treating you like crap. The rudeness on the phone and the ladies continually talking over me and not even letting me get two words out because she was too busy defending herself in her store. I'm just blown away. I came down there with my family that I haven't seen in seven years it has put such a bitter taste in my mouth. I'm a 60 year old woman on disability and was so excited about the eight dollars I spent on my mother and how much she was going to enjoy that item. Now all I can do is cry. My 90 year old father passed away in August I bought this for my mother thinking it would comfort her because it had church hymns and songs on it that he liked I was not able to come to the funeral I thought it would be something special. The 2 Amish furniture stores near Cincy could not help us. E-town went the extra mile to locate and order exactly what we wanted. When we arrived to pick it up, the gentleman owner was friendly, courteous, and went the extra mile to help us load and secure it for the ride home. When checking out, he took the time to talk with us as people, not just customers. There are a variety of items on display in the store and the number of items you can order from catalogs is seemingly endless. He works with several different Amish manufacturers, and can even custom order pieces to suit your needs. The furniture is well, built of solid wood with durable hinges and hardware. This furniture is reasonably priced and of quality that should last a lifetime! Definitely worth the trip to E-town!

I took it back to have someone explain away how they were sure it worked before they sold it to me and made me have to pull teeth just to get my money back! Fast forward about 7 months to a year) So my wife's father dies and she ended up with a few of his items that was hard for her to look at for obvious reasons! So she decides to pawn and not sale the items as she hoped to maybe bare them again! I remember the bad experience here but paid it no mind and decided she would pawn it at this establishment! So she goes in with her current id and pawns her item with no problem! So today we go in to retrieve her item(this is also after making hundreds of dollars of payments to hold it for us) (plus late fees) They tell us we can't buy our items back because the address on her id (THE SAME ID THEY EXCEPTED WITH NO ISSUES WHEN THEY TOOK IN THE ITEM) does not match!!! They never explained this to us of course if they had we would not have left the item there!! THEY STOLE FROM US!!! After I cuss everybody out lol the old guy said I'm tough and asked me to come behind the counter to fight knowing damn well police and or a shot to my face is inevitable lol So I asked him to come outside to have a real man respectable fight and of course his scary ass declined!!
