I love eating Popeye's chicken but there is something in it that does not love me and always leaves me not great. That said, they periodically have a flounder fish sandwich that my wife and I think is best fish sandwich around!! We like it better than Red Lobster's (if that's saying anything). They have it in regular or spicy and both are delicious!! Funny that I'm buying fish at a chicken place. Try it if in mood for a good fish sandwich!! They're too laxed and need to uphold the brand across the board. I had a coupon for a strip combo and the guy at the drive thru took my order just fine. Went here tonight(2/27). Lobby was closed and waited in the drive thru for 30 minutes. When I tried to place an order with an app offer, the app would not give me a coupon code. After several minutes of explaining, I drove to the window to show them the problem. All the employee kept saying was she can't do anything. I asked for a manager and another person came to the window an repeated the same thing, but she seemed to be getting instructions from someone else in the back so I don't think she was the manager. First of all, their lobby is not open yet. In Texas, covid restrictions on distancing in public places has been lifted. It was 2:30pm and this is Texas so it was 103 outside. Every customer has to go through the drive-thru so the cars were across the parking lot and out onto Beltline. So they are blocking a lane of traffic on a busy major street. It wasn't even lunch or dinner so this wasn't a "meal time" rush. Every minute a customer sat in a hot car in the Texas heat is another minute of them getting pissed off. Hello, I am writing to inform you of the service I received at Popeyes on 08/07/2019. I walked in and the cashier was so mean and nasty to the customer in front of me. I then walked up and asked about specials, and he /she answers, " we don't have any specials at all!" I said are you having a bad day and IT said yes. I told it to not take it out ton the customers because it's not far. I then asked to speak to the manager and she was just as bad as him. Heed the reviews. This location is pure garbage. The staff is rude, slow, and often times antagonistic. They will get your order wrong, guaranteed, and it will most certainly be old and stale. Want to call to voice your concerns? Don't bother. They won't answer. If you're lucky enough to speak with a manager, they will argue with you. But usually they hide in the back and refuse to meet with a customer anyway. And I guarantee it isn't because they are busy cleaning. Finally decided to try their spicy chicken sandwich after hearing good reviews from friends. The sandwich is very tasty, delicious and came out hot and quick. Love the toasted buttery brioche bun and spicy mayo sauce. I like that there isnt any cheese on the sandwich. The battered and breaded chicken breast was nice and moist and was served with thick cut pickles. Service was friendly and restaurant was clean. Parking was easy. Worst Popeyes I've ever had. Since it's debut the only chicken sandwich I can eat is the spicy chicken sandwich. Every Popeyes I've been to, it's tasted the same, crunchy, crispy with a nice pickle surprise. This time when I got the sandwich it was clear that they made it a good while before, the sandwich was squishy (as opposed to crunchy) and the pickle was hot and squishy. I should have known by the one star reviews to skip this place but I didn't listen. Please listen to me, this place is terrible.
