Long drive-thru line!
Donyiel C.

Maybe the hype wore off! I don't know but this was only my second time trying this infamous chicken sandwich and it was just ok to be honest. The first time I tried it, I loved it. Today I was craving the sandwich and went through drive-thru. It was very slow considering there were literally a few cars ahead of me. I ordered the spicy sandwich but I'm not sure if I got the classic by mistake because that thing was bland with no hint of spiciness. I still don't see why folks were waiting hours for this sandwich. I waited 10 minutes and that was enough. Ehhh! Not in a hurry to get it anytime soon. I swore it tasted better before.

Stopped here on the way out of town from a Maryland game. I have had their chicken sandwich before at another location but was in the mood for a late dinner and stopped here. Staff is pretty mediocre and not willing to talk or even smile. Chicken sandwich is good enough - but overall it's just ok - hence the 3

Bring it my first time in a Popeyes, this very well may have been the best one out there to stop. Very clean and looked booming for ten at night on a Monday. The manager on duty was supervising and buzzing around making sure things were right. Of course I got the chicken sandwich and I was indecisive for the first time on what else to get. I opted for Mac and cheese not knowing fries came with. The sandwich rocked as well as the fries. This is the first fountain soda apparatus that had the old style options but also Coke Zero. New to me. Although it didn't taste right. The bathroom was off? The door was damaged. Other than that all good experience.

I had a great day today and the only way to end it good is to have some popeye's fried chicken. I went to one location near my house but they were closed so I decided to drive up a little further just to have some popeye's chicken. The parking lot was big, they do have a small private parking spaces with in the vicinity, drive though is also available in this location which I consider a bonus. It was pretty late so it was dead not many people were in there but I can tell that it has been crowded earlier, it was nice and chill, the decor was so elegant and a smell of popeye's was in the air. I waited a good 10 minutes before anyone noticed me Cuz there was only one worker a helper and a drive through operator. The order was taken very rapidly after I was asked to step up and order, I was out in less than 5 minutes of ordering, the chicken were so delicious and juicy the biscuits however was kinda old, but I dont mine, I was late so I'd appreciated the fact they have something left. We all enjoyed my meals mucho.

burnt chicken

I ordered MILD chicken via Uber Eats and they gave me SPICY chicken and due to medical issue, I can't eat spicy food so I had to order from somewhere else. I had to throw all of the chicken away. Plus it was BURNT.

Pile on the calories!!!! Spicy 3-piece and potato overload

Service sucks. When u step in it just feels so dirty. Only thing good is when the chicken is just made. But i guess that's anywhere.

A friend of mine recommended this place and I must say, I love chicken. I knew I had to stop by. I…read morewas skeptical at first due to the pricing but I figured I'd give them a shot anyway. I ordered 10 Old Bay wings for $15 with a side of collard greens. I was told the fish was good so I also added some Fried Whiting and I'm glad I did. About 20 minutes go by and my food comes out piping hot. They have about 6 tables inside to eat so I figured I'd try everything fresh. I started with the old bay wings. DELICIOUS!!! Perfectly cooked, wonderfully seasoned, nice and crunchy. They are wingettes so not the biggest but they definitely pack the punch. The fried Whiting are a great size. Long and meaty. Very crispy and flavorful. The tarter sauces simply enhances the flavor. The cook came by to check on me which was nice. I let him know that his wings are a hit and the fish is great. I'll without a doubt be back. This may turn into a weekly stop for me.

Let's start with the wings: I got their signature honey lemon pepper wings. The wings are very…read moregood, fried hard, tossed in sauce (but they don't get soggy), and they are tiny wings so there is very little meat on the bone. Good umami, and overall memorable. So why a rating of 4? Here's why: - They should warn you when you order that it will take *at least* 30 minutes to get your food. (It took a 34 minutes in-person wait to receive 10 wings) - The lady who works the front literally gives zero effs - Mac n cheese looks good but is bland - Collards are worse than the Mac. Full of stems, flavorless, and cooked with no care or soul - Place itself is a bit divey, but that didn't bother me Bottom line: order ahead and get the wings but skip all the sides. Also, please warn your patrons about the wait time! You know what it is, but we don't.

Anyway, my best tip for you on this place is to come hungry because you're going to want to try everything on the menu...including the sides! I know I've said it before but the beef ribs are a reason alone to buy an airline ticket and fly to DC to eat them if you're from out of town. TSA should update their forms to read. "Reason for travel: Business, Leisure, 2Fifty " Enjoy!

Update. Not sure if…read morethis is a first review or not however; this has arguably the best bbq in the DMV. On this visit I went for lunch and I discovered the format for entering was more structured. The staff members created a system of restricted entry to prevent overcrowding and to allow more space for guests to dine in. I got the two different sandwiches and a slice of the key lime pie. The first sandwich was the pulled pork which is pictured below. Super tender and juicy with a mild seasoning and gentle smoke flavor. I do believe the long hold times until served loses some of the more potent smoke flavor but a very good sandwich. The other was the brisket sandwich with I think is the bargain option imo compared to ordering slices. The brisket was cooked to perfection, has good balance of flavors and texture. The brisket sandwich is roughly 1.5/2 full slices of brisket and I believe the 1/4 pound is roughly 3 full slices all dependent on the butcher cutting the slices. Neither sandwich needed any sauce to help it out. The key lime pie wasn't my favorite selection on this visit. I'm not sure if it's a house made recipe or outsourced. This slice flavor lacked the tartness from the lime and the custard had strands of coconut or something which was off putting from the texture. Some lime zest as a garnish on the top would work better here than integrated. Dear customer: Pricing here is a little high but please understand it's very difficult for bbq to make a profit margin after factoring the operational costs. Bbq is a labor intensive process to ensure you have a consistent and enjoyable product. Things to consider the parking is limited if the adjacent lot is full. You make have to park in the residential area and walk down. If possible pre-order your meal to save on the wait time. Dear 2Fifty: What would be awesome for the customers is adding a QR code for the menu for the outside guest. While in line several people had to wait to get a portable menu or until they entered the building to start their selection process. Many of which made comments about wanting to see a menu while they waited. Overall, this visit was a 4.3 out of 5.

We pulled up to the food truck parked in the gas station lot, with a seating area and a few parking spots next to the truck. It was a windy day so the windows were closed. We weren't sure if they were open when walking up but then a young lady opened the window to greet us. She asked if it was our first time. When we confirmed that it was she offered us a sample. She came back with a bowl of piping hot, dressed beef suya with a couple of picks for us to try. That was so smart because we were hooked! The meat was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The raw onions provided some crunch and a bit of a palette cleanse before the next bite. Originally we were thinking about getting the box. But the sample was so good, and we knew we wouldn't come back that way for a while, so we got a half tray of a mix of beef and wings along with a "small" tray of jollof. It took about 25-30 minutes for our big order to be ready. The young lady handed us this gorgeous insulated bag with Project Suya on it and it was hefty. She also slipped in a pineapple soda to our order for free. We had food for days! We got to enjoy the "Benito Bowl" while we ate West African grilled meats. Ah! The beauty of living in MOCO. Every time we ate the leftovers, we would talk about who we could share this delicious food with the next time we order it. The beef reheated very well, by the way. Also, a heads up, the pepper sauce that's served with the wings is not for the weak. It's delicious but start out with a little bit if you know what's good for you.

Tried ordering from them but the order never arrived. They were quick to take my payment though…read more Tried calling but the call goes straight to voicemail and the voicemail box is full. Skeptical that this place is real.

The Chicken tenders weren't tender and the coating was over-salted. The full rack of BBQ Pork ribs was a winner, tender and meaty with great flavor. The Slow-smoked Chicken is delicious and a nice, moist change from the usual chicken treatments. The Smoked Chicken Wings were great too. I wouldn't get the Texas Beef Brisket or the Carolina Pulled Pork again, but they weren't bad, just lots of other choices that were better! The sides here are stand-outs too. I almost didn't get the vegetarian Collard Greens since I love collards cooked with meat but these were delicious -- they never made it to the microwave, they were so vinegary-good when I sampled them cold lol! The Mac & Cheese was good and cheesy. The baked beans were good but again vegetarian where I'd prefer meat included and I didn't care for the sweet sauce. The Skillet Cornbread is the best I've had, slightly sweet with a good corn flavor that made me decide to buy a WHOLE skillet rather than just the generously portioned slice next time, especially since it's such a good value. I do regret not trying the coleslaw and potato salad so again, next time. The little rolls are tasty too, moist and slightly sweet but it's a pity they aren't burger-size so you can make a sandwich with all that delicious meat and sides.
