This is for the 4/4 debacle. I arrived and got in line around 5:55am. The line was disorganized,…read moreand bunched up all the way wrapped around the building. Up to 10 people were grouped up on the entire walkway while other civilized people lined up single or double file. At some point people started bum rushing their way to towards the store so a bunch of people cut and left lots of folding chairs behind. They allowed the people in front to buy 34 needohs each. For about an hour or more we saw big bags full after big bags full walking out and we knew they would run out. Not one time did we see any employee come out and walk the line to see how long it was. When one of the ladies near me went to ask the owner why they aren't limiting she was supposedly told that they tried but the people were saying why can't we buy 34 when the people in front did. When I went to cypress the IG post said 2 per style but the owner walked the line before the door store opened and let us know it was 2 total per person and everyone understood. It is your business you can change the policy at any time. Have a backbone. Instead of pleasing all of those scalpers you disappointed hundreds of people including kids who wokeup early on a Saturday. Eventually when the owner told everyone they were sold out she caught flack for it and cried and walked back into the store, locked the door and turned the lights off. Literally was crying. I've seen you respond to reviews saying this was your first shipment of needohs, we know that's BS just by looking at your IG posts. You also follow other learning express accounts on IG and can see the lines they had during drops. If you didn't then that's your failure as a business owner and just a lack of awareness on your part. Overall the Cypress location is the most organized out of the Houston area learning express stores. The town and country was pretty good too because they limited to 6 per person total. I hope you learn from this experience.

Be careful with the store they care more about their policy than their customers. My 10-year-old…read moreson bought a squishy not the one he wanted, but the only one l in stock and when he got to the truck to open it, it was broken in the bag. We went back in to see if they would make it right since they sold us broken product, but they told us no, our policy is we don't take squishies back and there's nothing they could do. I have five children and they lost a customer over a five dollar squishing way to go Lakeshore Learning.

It's a store with a ton of educational supplies. Some worthy of your money - some not so much... As…read morea homeschooler, I find a lot of manipulatives here that are pretty useful: i.e. place value, time & money, word and vocabulary building, etc. There's an enormous assortment of workbooks, games, and STEM products adequate for any classroom - whether home or institutional. Albeit easy for someone new to the world to become overwhelmed. The staff seem friendly, although not many are super versed in the educational aspect of what the store hosts (example - I called asking for pentominoes and they were ALL clueless), so I'd most certainly recommend going armed with enough knowledge of what you're looking for before stepping inside. You'll leave less frustrated. Oh, and another piece of advice...it's definitely not cheap and many of the products are packaged for multiple children. So if you have one or two children and not an entire classroom of 20+, I'd suggest paying attention to what you grab in store or ordering less quantities online. That said, there are plentiful options to which I doubt you'll be disappointed. Just be ready to spend some $$$...

I'm extremely disappointed. I called ahead to confirm they were accepting a large amount of…read morespecific sizes and winter gear; they assured me it was fine. After driving an hour and 30 minutes and waiting another hour in-store, they rejected over half my items--tons of GENTLY USED or NEW Nike, Carhartt, Columbia, Old Navy, and Under Armor gear--claiming they were 'overworn' or 'too much winter' stock. To make matters worse, the staff was rude and demanded sellers to stay in the building for the full one and a half to two-hour sort despite their text notification system. I drove two hours round-trip for nothing. Save your time and go elsewhere!!

We purchased over $100 worth of items, but only about $67 in clothing made it in the bag. I even…read moreasked the employee who was ringing us up, are you sure this is all the clothing? What happened to the stack of pants that you rung up? And he swore it was in the bag with the receipt. But when we got home, there was no receipt in the bag, and about half the items were missing. My work hours are during the store's open hours and both my kids had school events this week, so it took a couple days and being 30 minutes late to work to be able to go back in and speak with the manager, because my attempts at calling the store were unsuccessfu.. The number listed on Apple Maps sounds like it goes to a fax machine, as no one ever answered the rings and there's a weird high pitch noise after 3 rings. Without a receipt, the manager wouldn't do anything for me, even though I brought all the tags from the items that we did have, and we used our phone number during checkout ...so she should've been able to look up the receipt. This feels like a purposeful hustle, considering we paid cash. The customer service from the manager was unsatisfactory and unhelpful and she was flippant about the whole thing. "If you don't have a receipt we can't help you". YOUR EMPLOYEE DIDN'T GIVE ME A RECEIPT, that's clearly the problem. She said I would have to find the owner (who doesn't work on weekends) but gave me no contact info. The other employees were kind and understanding and I could tell that they wanted to help but couldn't. If you go here, pay with a credit card so there's a paper trail and make sure to count your items before you leave the counter. I used to actually like this place, but because of this, I will never go here again.

What a nostalgic spot - nestled in a somewhat busy plaza right off the feeder of I-45N & 242 in…read moreShenandoah! Cute, quaint, and filled to the brim with comics and more! I recently stopped by here with my boys after having some services done at the salons next door and am SO glad we decided to pop in! From the moment you open the door - the smell of comics (and even my own childhood!) consume you. There is SO much to see and look for - it's easy to spend the whole day inside and potentially go broke. My kids gravitated right to the youth section, which was aptly positioned right near the entrance (I say aptly, because once you venture in a bit more, you do have to pass by the more "adult" side of the comic world), and immediately found a few new additions to their at-home library! As if that wasn't enough to reel one in, they even sat down to indulge in a few chess moves. ;) Of course, finding all the nostalgia and collectibles further toward the back of the store was icing on the cake. There were several aisles of toys and figures - pop culture and more! - should that tickle your comic book-loving fancy. Just don't say I didn't warn you! I love that the staff welcomed the kids and engaged with them. The two young(er) folks working that day were super knowledgeable and well-versed in the comic book world and I am here for it. They took time to share all about the store, the programs and clubs of times past - here's to hoping they come back!! - and offered a much needed welcome to the comic book kids of today in this area. If I'm being honest, it made for a great first-time visitor experience. Overall, I highly recommend stopping by and for the life of me, am still scratching my head to understand why we've not stopped in sooner! There's so few stores of this magnitude on this side of town - and it's worth it. Definitely a go-to on my list of my kids' favorite spots...

Now in a new, well lit location; with staff just as friendly as they always have been. The selection is slightly different than it was but 5 years change does that haha. More anime figures a bigger comics and huge manga selection as well as a nice pokemon card selection and some miscellaneous anime and comics merch. Will forever love this place. Miss their selection of random bags of pokemon toys that if memory had served me correctly was because they had a friend who was a pilot who would go to japanese thrift stores to sell things in the store here? unsure if they still do it, couldn't find my beloved baggies of little pokemon toys but thats okay. Look forwards to being a regular here again when I move back.
