The staff there is really helpful and friendly, they always have great deals, my go to place for framing!!

My review is specifically for the framing department. I have had two really important pieces custom framed by the wonderful people in the framing department at this location and I couldn't be happier with their work, but also their customer service. It's rare to encounter such lovely people who are also passionate about their job these days and I appreciate that so much. As for me, I won't go anywhere else for framing needs. It was so ravaged and barren in here. Why on earth didn't the female doorwatch (I'm irritated right now) tell me that there is no point in waiting in this hour plus long line? I waited over teo weeks to write this review and I'm still irritated. There was a guy who was in line ahead of me and refused to move out of the shade whenever there was allowances into the building. I stared in disbelief and frustration as the doorwatch did nothing to ask the guy to MOVE so that the test of us burning in the glare of the midday sun wouldn't need to be turned over to roast too often! Then. To top that it is literally EVERY BODY that counts. There were two mothers or one mom and a grandmother in line ahead of me. They were separate parties. But they each had two children. That is 6 BODIES. And they were allowing a 1 for 1 at the time so one person out, one person in. Why did I stay in line, you may be asking. Yes. I understand that question. But it was me crafting with my kids or me watching them try to wrestle and kill each other one one day. I couldn't take it. And Amazon was ripping people off with their prices. Anyway. I lost receipt and wanted to return perfectly unused throw rugs. I called store and asked for a mgr. Jen answered and said to bring them back to take a look. When I got there Sydney the asst cust svc mgr said she had never seen these rugs in their store. They called Jen over. Meanwhile I walked over to the rug aisle and saw them stacked on the shelf. I brought rug to cashier. Then Jen, mgr walks over telling me they were used. I told her, they had been in my garage in a bag, but not used. She proceeded to try and argue with me. Meanwhile the puppet, Sydney was observing shaking her head looking like egg on her face, because she previously lied in my face, saying the rugs were discontinued . I asked for store mgr, who was not there and then a general manager. I swear I'll never shop at hobby lobby again. I'm going to elevate this complaint all the way to the top! This store is crazy expensive even with coupons sometimes, they do have deals though. The store is very clean and organized. I come here for fall and Christmas decor. The employees are nice, but they are not easily found around the store for help. The aisles are small two baskets cant fit. A baby carseat cannot fit in the basket. I came in today to look at the Christmas items, i bought a wreath and apparently it was on sale so i told the lady to ring me up for another one. She told me she would and that she would hold my bag for me. I thought she would hold the line because i was the only one there but nope i came back their was 5 people in line, i left the wreath and walked to get my bag behind the counter and she acted like i wasn't supposed to take my stuff. This location has the slowest and worst customer service of any hobby lobby I've been to. I always wait around half an hour in line, just for the cashier to ring me up incorrectly or give me the wrong amount back for a return. They could use some training that's for sure. read more

Don't be in a hurry to return anything to this store. Pack a lunch and bring a chair to stand in line. I just stood in line for 20 minutes. There were several lanes open to check out. Only one lane to return. Ten people in line to return. One lady returned several homecoming items, on several receipts.The manager, Larry would not open up another Lane for returns. I waited in line for 20 minutes because the cashier Lisa let a lady use 10 coupons because she counted her kids as eligible users so she rang her all separate transactions. I got to the register and she said my item wasn't eligible. Horrible location and the management should've caught it but their awareness is zero. Great store for all your hobby and craft needs. They carry a wide variety of silk and latex floral stems, arrangements, fabric, seasonal decorations, wall decor, art, mirrors, decorative furniture, art supplies, jewelry supplies... you see where I'm going here. They have it all. This store is twice as big as Michaels. You can always find a 40% coupon online to use off of a regular priced item. The only downside are the lines. multiple times I have been waiting in a line that is seven people deep and there are only three registers open and employees will be walking around not doing anything. read more

I placed a $50 order online and when I didn't receive it I was told by "customer service" that they won't resend it or issue a refund. They also refuse to investigate why I didn't get my order in the first place. I would HIGHLY recommend using Michaels since they actually have customer service who cares and more importantly, so that you get your order when you pay for it. Now I have to dispute charges with my bank to get my money back that was stolen and then order from Michaels so I know I will get what's mine. Hobby Lobby is a horrible, thieving company. I am good and very understanding customer and I love Hobby Lobby at The Woodlands. I do wire bonsai sculpture, though they don't have the wire that I need but the beads for my wire bonsai are all there. I started shopping beads at hobby lobby in Tulsa Oklahoma, when I was at the CTCA. I wish they have aluminum wires by a pound/kilo, but it's ok, I still love the store. Overall, I'll give them a thumbs up and 5 star. I don't need a watchman or a doorman to greet me when I come in, and I don't need an associate to say hello and how am I doing, but if they do it's fine with me too and it's great. But we are all the same, we are human being, some people like it and some hates it.The associates work hard in the store, and I don't like seeing them treated badly by a customers. That's why I am always at Hobby lobby in the woodlands, to support the store and and thank the associate for being there and working hard to make the store look good. No doubt Hobby Lobby is superior to other craft stores. However, their customer service is TERRIBLE! I went in to return the darker plant stand (no receipt but was buying other stuff). I was told "we no longer carry this item so we can't take it back". What?! Really yes they do. The tag varied by one number and the paint color was darker--so they said no. I was buying other stuff and even said I bought this 50% off. This is beyond ridiculous! Will try to not shop here again. read more

We've picked up some really attractive things here at a great price. Sales are constant so if the item you want isn't on sale one week, it will be the next (and typically 50% off). The staff aren't as friendly as in many other shops around here, and you may have to search hard to get someone to assist you. We've never had any problems with returns. read more

The selection at Hobby Lobby is excellent. The prices are good in comparison to other stores. However, the service is consistently poor in this store. Check out lines are slow and they tend to become long. My experience is that staff members rarely offer their assistance. This rating is mostly for the custom framing department. So if the manager is reading this: give Jane a sizable raise and a promotion. She was an absolute delight to work with. Her ideas as to how to frame the item we took in were unique, in my opinion. And it was perfect, given the nature of the item and who it was for. It's not what I would have chosen if left to my own devices. Because the frame is not my personal taste. And combining it with the navy matting and the red inset (not sure if that's the right word) to the frame is something I would not have come up with on my own. It was a group gift and I am certain the recipient will be very pleased. Because custom framing can be pricey, we did go to three different places - including Michael's and a local, independently owned frame shop. Each place had coupons that could be used. The price estimate was about the same for a basic framing job at all three places. And the employees at all three places seemed very knowledgeable. We chose Hobby Lobby because we received fantastic service as soon as we walked up to the counter of the framing department. Without being pushy, Jane was able to help us choose what we wanted and before we knew it, we were done. It is a task that I had been putting off for some time because I thought it would be a headache (due to the nature of item being framed). Thanks, Jane! read more

December 17th, the store is full of shoppers and there are 4 open check out counters. I was in line behind a woman who had probably 75 items...maybe more. I didn't get out from behind her because none of the other lanes were moving either. The same people who were there when I got in line were still there in the other lines. My husband went down to the line on the other side of where we were and there was nobody in that line. He asked the Woman if she was open and she replied yes. She was busy working in a binder and the whole time she was checking us out she was looking through that Binder and scribbling things out in it. I'm assuming her business in that binder is what kept her from alerting the people just standing in line that she was able to take somebody. Also, you would expect hobby lobby have Christmas music playing, or at least their usual Christian music. There was no music at all. I love shopping at hobby lobby, but their checkout system is so bad that I go to Michael's if I have to get out in a hurry. I love the way Michaels has one line and you get to check out in the order you got in line. A better management team would have been out there on that checkout line making sure people were getting into the shortest lines and that those cashiers were moving more quickly. Instead, they had a cashier standing around working in a binder and not checking people out, and customers getting frustrated in the other lines. read more
