When you walk into a business, and everyone knows your name, you feel like your business is appreciated, and that the owners care about the services that they provide. This is my go-to store for supplies, water testing and service. Rick is friendly and knowledgeable. Always willing to investigate and solve problems with customers. They have a nice selection of all the commonly used equipment and chemicals and if he doesn't have it, he'll order it. I visited this store and I have never received such awful and abusive service. In Miami for 30 years, that is saying something! I went in for chlorine refills and was met with an angry older man on the phone during my visit. He refilled the jugs and started telling me how one of them needed another cap but they don't make them anymore. While it was not a new jug, I just tightened on the lid so I knew it was working fine. I was not interested in buying a new jug. That started this man down a path which he yelled and cursed at me until I left his store. Yes, I paid for the chemicals while being told to F- off. I respect an independent business owner but when you treat customers like this, you deserve a vacant store with no customers. That is the story here with almost nothing in the vacant store. I see other reviews were positive but I question how anyone can have a positive experience here. There is no value since the chlorine price is similar to others in the area. He was clear he didn't care about my business, while bragging about telling me off to whoever he was on the phone and came off as a bitter and angry man. read more

When i walked into this store my pool was a mess. I had a pool guy who did a terrible job and my pool was turning green one a month. I brought in my water and they did the test and $280 later my pool looks fantastic. But now i only but chlorine for $14 a week. Fired the pool guy. Highly recommend this place. read more

Easy five stars from me. This has always been my go-to pool place. The employees are awesome, and the owner, Rick, is fantastic. He's very relational with his costumers, and will make you feel at home. I'm never afraid of feeling dumb asking him, or his staff any questions. I never feel obligated to purchase something, and I never feel like they're trying to up-sell me. This store actually had a location open right by my home, but had to close down that location about a year ago. Oddly enough, a new pool place opened in the same location (but it wasn't Pool Zone). I tried these people out, just cause of the convenience of being close, and I couldn't be with them for long. They're business (compared to Pool Zone) was crap! So now I make the drive to this location, even though it's farther than several pool stores, to get Rick and his staffs customer service! If you're reading this Rick, thanks so much for what you do! We've been customers of Ric's for over 10 years now, and he has always been very helpful and informative. Today we had a bit of a pool pump emergency and frantically called Pool Zone, hoping that someone would pick up the phone even though it was near closing time. Ric tried to walk my mom through the issue over the phone, and then had us come in so he could show us in person. He even lent us a spare part - luckily we didn't need it. I went thru two "licensed" pool guys before I got fed up and fired them. I met Rick at Pool Zone and gave him a water sample. He asked me lots of questions and expertly diagnosed all my problems and gave clear instructions on how to fix and maintain my pool. 6 months later I invested in Rick's recommendation of a Navigator Pro and now my pool is clean all the time, not just once a week. I love the peace of mind of KNOWING what chemicals are going in my pool and how much. I cut my pool costs by 25% the first year and over 50% the 2nd year! My only time investment is trip to the store every month in the summer and every other month in the winter when the pool isn't being used as much.
