After reviewing several pool companies recommend by Pentair the manufacture of pool heating, water conditioning and automation. I decided to use Pool Pros to do the work for my home in Northern California. We replaced new pool heater which is the first in the world pool heater with a direct fire pure titanium heat exchanger. I was up and running with me programming schedules in less than 1 hour. I can say Edd Torres and his team did a great job and highly recommend it. NOTE: I recommend keeping up with the software updates on this new equipment as it is new and has lots of features I recommending learning how to use it. Works great on a Apple MAC, iPhone and Windows 10 Computers. Keeping the firmware and software updated will keep the system running smoothly. They had a technician at my house within 2 hours, diagnosed the issue and had it fixed shortly after. Great Service! I contacted Ramon for pool service since the previous owner of our new house used him. He was quick to send someone out and the person who came out was very professional and helpful. Sadly, the positive experience ended there. He told me that I would get a quote for the service that afternoon but it never came. I gave Ramon a call a couple of days later since the pool and spa were turning green. He assured me that I will have something in an email that day but it never came. I texted him again and told him that I will have to look for someone else if he doesn't respond. He didn't respond and I hired another pool service company. Yesterday, I got a bill from Ramon for $120 for April service. He never sent any contract or quote to me even though I asked for it multiple times, and he just billed me for the service that I never agreed to. I can't speak to the quality of service he provides but I cannot work with any service provider with no customer service mindset. I read through some reviews below and it sounds like there is a common theme here. I would stay away from this business because he will never respond to you when you really need that service. read more

Our 40+ year old swimming pool badly needed work...original plaster was falling off in chunks and the tile needed replacing. After finding several reviews online for Pool Pros, we gave them a call and promptly received the initial quote from Shelly (extremely competitive & reasonable). Once the work started mid January, things moved quickly...from start to finish, everyone who worked on the pool was professional, efficient and did great work! Impressed that one of the workers must have been a dog whisperer as our 3 dogs welcomed them from the first day which is amazing given one is a rescue with oodles of anxiety. Fascinating process to watch from Plaster Chipout, Re-Tile, Re Plaster & pool refill...also upgraded our pump with a variable speed pump. We could not be happier with the end product...our pool looks rejuvenated. Given how thrilled we were with the pool work, we've continued to use them for weekly maintenance for the past 6 months...they do not disappoint and we have been extremely happy with the ongoing maintenance. Indeed he is very understandable and committed plus responsible towards his task, asking requests and task closure. In a nutshell, Ramon is very easy to work with. In the past there were several things from Easytouch Pool optimization, Wireless Screen Logic and ongoing weekly pool maintenance, Ramon wrinkled down all the irons. I have even referred him to my boss to take care of his pool plastering, top of the line Pentair equipment upgrades and pool equipment relocation. I contacted Ramon (Pool Pros) because my pool guy (I fired him now) left the pool filter installation half way by opening my existing (old) filter. Ramon gave me a very competitive quote for Pentair 550 filter and also same day installation. No one could beat that. Ramon's person showed at my door step within 2 hours, finished the installation, explained the whole thing and hauled away the old filter. I was very pleased with the overall experience. I have been having trouble getting my spa heated due to problems with my heater. I had called a few places but many were flaky and unresponsive. Although, Ramon and his team were the opposite of that. I told Ramon that getting it fixed was urgent, as I was having friends visiting for the week and wanted the spa ready for them. We hired Pool Pro's in March of 2018 for new plaster, tile & coping. We were very happy with the finished product. In March 2022, I discovered several cracks in the plaster on the walls & floor of the pool. Shelly (very nice) came to inspect the pool & said Pool Pro's has a 5 yr warranty. Then asked who did the work for us. I told her, "you, Pool Pro's". She said, I guess you're covered. Ramon called me after his crew came to do the initial repair. Repair the cracks. When Ramon called that night he said they could patch the areas, but cosmetically it would be noticed. If I wanted the pool replastered he would charge $3900.00 & reset the warranty for another 5 years. Unfortunately, I caved & agreed. Again, the original plaster by Pool Pro's was only 4yrs old (under warranty). Also, maintained weekly by their company. Once the new plaster was poured & the pool was refilled with water the "start up" began. (Chemical balancing & brushing of the pool). That service became sporadic & inconsistent. I let Ramon know via text. No response from him. I discovered the first time I went into my pool the entire surface including the tile under the water line was extremely rough. Sandpaper rough. It's been nearly 3 weeks since reporting the rough surface to Pool Pro's. Still no action to remedy the issue. Very little to no communication. Only if I make the attempt to reach out to them. Today Ramon said he would call "a bit" after 1pm. It is now 4:10pm. Such poor unacceptable customer service. read more

We just moved into a rental house, where the previous tenant thought he was awesome at taking care of a pool. He was so wrong the water was green, the filters were clogged, and the pump leaks. Wow! After moving into our new home last October we found that the hot tub was not used by the last tenants and was very dirty with sitting water (who knows how long it had been like that). After sending requests for quotes to 15+ businesses and firing one extremely unprofessional businessperson who arrived 2hrs after a set appointment I found Pool Pros! They sent me a quote within two hours (which was $100 less than others I had received) and told me someone would be over two days later to do the job! They drained, deep cleaned and refilled our hot tub. After turning it on the cleaning guys discovered some electrical issues and Ramon (the business owner) told me he would send his electrician over within a few hours to troubleshoot the issue. The electrician was able to solve the problem and get the spa up and running and Ramon didn't even charge me for his time! A third guy then came over to treat the water and by the end of the night we were enjoying our spa!! All of this effort/coordinating and 4 men on the job and Ramon still did not charge me $1 over the initial quote I was given. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Pool Pros and wish they were the first result when searching on Yelp bc my only complaint is I had to weed thru a bunch of nonsense to find this great business. I normally fix everything myself but wanted a second professional opinion that I had an underground air leak. They confirmed to me that I definitely have an underground air leak and referred me to a leak detection company they know. All this without charge. Given this was the 4th of July weekend, most pool servicers were unavailable. Not Pool Pros! Ramon worked with helping me troubleshoot the problem and had Ed come by to inspect. Turns out my 15 year old heater was past its prime and I needed a new one. I had a crappy pool service man that came out once a week and just poured chemicals into my pool and left. Fired him. Got on yelp and found Pool Pros, saw their reviews and called them. Ramon phoned me right back and we met. He is a really nice and friendly man who appears to me to be very honest. He is one of those people that a few minutes after you meet him you like him and trust his opinion. Ramon is a responsible person who take his job very seriously. He went out of his way to make sure I was happy with the service. He explained to me that my equipment, filter and pump were not only old but not proper for residential pools. We replaced them. He explained how the new machines are much more efficient and was going to save me money. He inspected the solar on my roof and fixed some leaks. He now does the weekly servicing. He phoned me to make sure that I was happy with the work that was done after one of his employees was here to clean the pool. I wasn't sure exactly how to operate the spa function of my pool. One of Ramon's workers came out ( I believe it was Raul) but not positive came out and patiently explained things to me. I requested to have someone give a quote to re plastering and tiling my pool. After a week I never got a call back despite numerous calls and left VMs at their office. Called again the day before I was to do my final walkthrough of our house and was told I'd be called right back with confirmation. No call was received and I had to call the morning of and didn't receive a call back until 45 minutes before they said they would be there and it was at least an hour drive from work at that point. It's now been a week and a half and haven't received a quote or a phone call from their office. I was willing to give them my business but not sure I'd even consider telling someone to call them for a quote given their complete lack of customer focus or service. How hard is it to give a quote or just call someone back? Even a "sorry we are really busy right now and it's going to take another couple days on a quote" would be nice. read more

We used Pool Pros to redo our pool deck in December. What was unique about our job was there was also a leak in our return line to the filter that needed to be fixed -- but could only be fixed after the existing pool deck concrete was removed. Most places I called would only do the concrete and not the leak detection or just leak detection and no pipe rework, etc. When I called Pool Pros, Ramon assured me his team does everything from concrete to pipe fixing and leak detection! His team was very courteous and paid great attention to detail. Even with the rainy weather they worked to make sure the job was done as soon as possible. Called the office 5 pm and they were here noon next day. Manuel knew his craft and he replaced a failed pipe plug at the bottom of the filter in short order. The job required him to first remove the filter assembly in order to access the 1/4 plastic pipe plug. They were efficient and completed the work in about 45 minutes... nice. The only reason I'm giving them a "4" instead of a "5" is due to the fact that an assistant to Manuel came into my backyard without first knocking to announce himself, or Pool Pros texting me that they were at my home. Good news is that I can again run the pump without water spurting from the split pipe plug. Thanks. read more
