Overly inflated with big ideas and plans, some of what we talked about, some left off, others completely ignored. Also with invitation to visit the showroom. Which we did. Nice place. About it. Reviewed the estimate, made adjustments, talked budget; of course, removed some wants, added some necessary pool mechanical equipment. Said he'll be in touch. Crickets . . . . . Received new design with more inflated smaller ideas and plans, some of what we talked about, some left off, others completely ignored. Called mentioned budget as that ticked down, a little. He stated he'll work on it get back to us. Few more days new plans and rough estimate. Embarrassing! Absolutely nothing discussed was resolved and the new plans were insulting to what was discussed. Waste of time. If you have disposable income, there are possibilities. If your budget is still wanting down scaled elegance, with the core bones of the originally mentioned design; not here. Disgusting and shameful. Full stars for living within your means and being slapped in the face for sticking to it. Bravo

I hired Kangaroo Pools last spring to design and construct our 32x13' pool, alumawood pergola, and…read morebackyard landscape. All in all, it took about 4 months to complete the project from design, permits, and start to finish, and this seems on par with other pool building companies in our communities. Their crew worked in the dead heat of our Arizona summer heat waves and although we offered coolers for them, they were self prepared. I am happy to report that after enjoying our pool for a full year, no issues to be reported of the pool. Kangaroo pools have remained in contact, and fixed any issues (very minor) that cropped up. Vince, Vanessa, German and their teams coordinated well and were responsive in their texts throughout the build. The key to working well with them is making sure you're ontop of your own communication, articulation, and clarity. If you consider yourself a good communicator, then working with Kangaroo pools will be a breeze and you can benefit from fair pricing out of the 5 other pool services we contacted and compared with during the time. I was very particular about the drainage and irrigation out of the yard, and they listened to my feedback, and did not hesitate to dig back up the corrogated piping and his crew was accommodating and did it the way I wanted. We are very happy we hired Kangaroo Pools to build our pool! We chose to have them maintain our pool with their pool service and the email updates we get about what they did each week is very helpful.

We had the trifecta of challenges, a hard dig, lack of plumbing, and a giant tree. We even hired them to put in the heat pump and build the yard and hardscape. Would absolutely hire them again. Thank you guys!!!

I would highly recommend Caribbean Pools and Spas to everyone who is looking to add an inground pool and/or spa to your home.

Overall picture of pool and the brick on the hot tub overflow…read more  The main point is the overflow from the hot tub. I selected the brick as I thought it would look good. After install there were supposed to be some stainless steel inserts on the sides of the overflow to keep the water directed into the pool and not running off to the sides. They didn't install and "J" said later if I wanted them they would put them on. The water did run off to the sides and I chose to leave it as at that time the chlorinated brick was not noticeable   The problem, which would have been nice as a warning as this was my first pool, was the bleaching and color distortion on the brick. The brick keeps on shaving/chipping off into the pool which is a pain. And if you see the closeup pictures you can see how bad the bleaching is.  I want to have the brick pulled off and replace with tile. Called and told "B" the issue and left a message for Kevin at Caribbean pools on February 24, 2026 to see if they could do it at a discount and I pay for some of it. No call back even to discuss.  You would think with all their "extensive" pool experience, they would have warned me about the brick looking bad after a couple years, I would have gone with tile, which is easier to clean and it would not be falling into the pool constantly. Even during the construction, it took him forever to get crews out here and I had to call quite a few times and then when the company came over to get the pool turned on, it wouldn't work.  Turns out the electrician, that Caribbean used, didn't even hook up the wiring to the controls.  So luckily, there was a person that didn't have anything going on that Saturday and he came out.  And he had to put three wires in about ten feet long each, or so, they get to pool started. Pool was finally operational on April 6, 2021. I had to constantly call and harp on them, to get crews out here and do the work, and then they couldn't even get it started. The brick looks like garbage now so I wouldn't recommend them if they can't even give me straight forward advice or even call me to talk to me about this, give me a little discount or something. Don't bother with them, my personal opinion. Sent from my Galaxy

Easy, straightforward, and exactly as promised. AE and Sons was the first of four companies I got…read morean estimate from and was a clear winner in cost. Andres, the owner, came out the day I called and gave a very quick estimate. He didn't measure the pool as everyone else did. This concerned me at first, but on his estimate the internal surface area he listed was almost EXACTLY what I had calculated geometrically. Closer than those who measured the perimeter. Makes sense that he used his judgment rather than a table based on perimeter since pools come in so many varied shapes. Throughout the process, Andres NEVER tried to upsell us on anything. He even seemed to favor the most economical choices. We decided to have the deck done later, no problem. We, coincidentally, went with the same surface as a previous review here--Stonescapes Midnight Blue Mini Pebble. Andres warned that darker surfaces can be more prone to uneven mixing and mottled appearance, but was happy to do it for a small upgrade fee (MUCH smaller than the other companies). In the end, the surface was more even than I could have imagined. Andres said the process would take a week to week and a half. We signed the contract Wednesday night, he started draining the pool Thursday, chipped out the old plaster Saturday, patched the concrete and repaired our steps Sunday, applied the new pebble Tuesday, acid washed and filled it on Wednesday. He always texted or called the day before to say when they would be here working and was right on schedule. I added a close-up comparison photo of the surface template we picked online and our actual surface to show how perfectly it turned out. Ours seems to be missing small green pieces but that may be because we expressed that we really did not want any green tint. I prefer it that way, regardless. The surface is incredibly well smoothed out with NO trowel marks or streaking. I strongly recommend AE and Sons for resurfacing your pool.
